895 Grill/Pitstop

In my opinion the best food in Brooklyn Maryland. After two years in southeast Baltimore my favorite lunch food. Pizza has great crust, sauce is real tomato, and toppings are ample. The real treat is the signature cheesesteak. The bread may not be Philadelphia bakery but it is great and the result worth coming back for. Everything made fresh to order all good ingredients.
Then there is the staff who make the place, like Cheers, where everybody knows everybody else. I love picking up lunch here.
This place and it’s folks do a great job. Modestly priced takeout or delivery no inside dining and the parking lot faces the harbor tunnel expressway. However, drive to the top of the hill and get a great view of the port of Baltimore

miracle on mainstreet. used to be bbq joint. still looks like a run down shack. no more bbq pigsfeet, however the cheesesteaks are quite delicious. the rolls aren’t the typical baltimore wonderbread style. it is crispy and chewy almost like in philly. my wife tried the shrimp cajun chicken cheesesteak. she usually claims that the food is edible, but, amazingly, she actually said that the sub was ” killer” the fries were a little greasy but otherwise, we were very pleased to find that there is still hope in the sub/​hoagie world of lowly baltimore
