Just ordered from here for delivery. I ordered veggie lo mein, crab rangoons, and orange chicken. When I ordered over the phone they said 45 minutes. But it only took about 20 minutes which was a nice surprise !! Food was hot and fresh. I loved the lo mein it was packed with tons of veggies !! The orange chicken was awesome, not too much breading lots of meat and veggies. I will definitely order from here again

I am picky about my Chinese food! So we when moved out here we tried a few places. Did not like any of them! Then I found this place! I have been going over 3 years and love it! Great food and good prices! Can’t beat that with a stick!

Depends on who’s cooking that night. But normally it pretty good! They’re inconsistent on how they prepare the food, & it’s kind of a bummer. But it’s good.

Always excellent for the price – very cheap! Love everything I’ve had here and they redecorated so it’s a nice pkace to dine in too. Very nice people, too. Highly recommend.

I am hooked. Ok, maybe borderline obsessed is more accurate with the Special Fried Rice from Hunan Express. I have the best boyfriend, a St. Louis native, who brings me a large order whenever he visits home. Twice this year, I had an opportunity to visit St. Louis on my own, so I had to stop at Hunan. Like seriously, it has to happen or I am likely to regress to a two year old and have a tantrum. I’m horrible, I know, but I love it! I don’t know if we just have terrible fried rice in Indianapolis, but I have never had anything like it. The shrimp, beef, pork… drooling just thinking about it. It’s freaking delicious.
The service is pretty good. Prices are reasonable. Surprisingly I’ve had other things here besides the rice. I’m a big fan of sweet and sour chicken, but not a fan of the chicken at Hunan. It was overcooked and hard. The wonton soup was delish. I would definitely order it again.
I just can’t live without my Special Fried Rice! :-)

Had the orange chicken special. Disappointed as the chicken was like styrofoam instead of actual chicken chunks. They also take out a lot of the chicken and fill it with vegetables that weren’t impressive either. Won’t be going back.

I love Chinese food, I eat at 3 places this is usually my last place I pick its ok, people are nice. my preference is Dynasty we get allot of food a little more expensive only because we get it delivered. the other place is Panda express you get allot of food for lunch spend $ 7 could share with a friend or left overs for dinner…

I love their Lo Mein!!! It’s not that ramen noodle crap with the weird white-​ish sauce on it like at other places.
We’ve ordered here a few times since moving here, and it’s pretty legit. The orange chicken wasn’t that great though — I think they mixed up our order. But like I said, the lo mein is a definite hit, as is the schezwan chicken. I think we’ll continue to order from here until we move further East — but as for now, it will do.

I was craving Chinese food and in West County, a friend of mine had just moved out there and didn’t really know which places were good and which were terrible. With a little help from Unilocal,we decided to try this place out. Jennifer B. was totally spot on in her review.
This is some of the best Chinese carry out I have had in this city. The food is fresh and not overly greasy. The crab rangoons were crispy and cream cheesy, and enjoyed by all who partook, and the veggie lo mein was some of the best I have had, not only in St. Louis but in other cities as well.
The establishment was clean, the prices were competitive, and the people were working were incredibly friendly and quick to get our order to us when we arrived. Though I would not make the drive from South County to get this Chinese since I have my own neighborhood Chinese Carry Out perfection down here, I will certainly stop in again next time I’m craving Chinese and I’m in the neighborhood.

Hunan Express does the fast and inexpensive Chinese food better than just about anybody else. We ordered two boxes of chicken fried rice and an order each of crab rangoon and fried wontons the night before last. The food was ready fast, the order was correct, the staff was friendly and the food was delicious! Not to mention that the price is in line with everyone else.
There is an older gentleman working here with a bunch of teenagers, with possibly more people in the back. I think that the older man does the cooking. They are tucked away in a little strip mall that you can barely see from the main road. Check them out, you’ll be glad that you did.
