One of the best fried rice. Fresh fried eggs made to order. A whole in the wall but great food!!!

I love this place. Tiny hole in the wall. Unlike other Chinese, fresh food. Try orange chicken and chicken 65. Also got vegetarian choices

Food was excellent. We had hot braised chicken and orange chicken. Service was very good as we ate it. My only suggestion is to get carry out because the dining area is small and there is a lot of traffic in and out picking up carry out

Delicious food. Nice staff. Sesame chicken is the best. Very good for take out. Not enough place for big parties.

I’ve been hearing good things about this restaurant for a while now and decided to try it out for dinner tonight. Our table ordered– spring roll, hot & sour soup, vegetable munchurian, schezwan noodles and chicken chilli(to-go). Nothing about the food was authentic indo-chinese. The chicken chilli had absolutely no salt(I think they just forgot to add salt altogether). Needless to say, it wasn’t the tasty dining experience I’d hoped for. The only positive thing about our dinner was the service.

Stopped by for lunch when I went to get my pants back from the tailor whose shop is a couple of doors down. This place is a dive but there’s really nothing wrong with that. Lunch special was about $ 7. That ain’t bad. First up was the soup. Apparently, everything comes with the soup because that was literally the first thing to hit the table. It is a thick soup, not a broth, with vegetables and a flavor that is also sweet and spicy at the same time. Big chunks of vegetables and red pepper flakes pair really well. It was a cold day but that soup warmed me up nicely. Chicken 65… no clue at all what is in the dish but it sure is good! I found it sweet and spicy at the same time. Very crunchy on the outside yet still juicy on the inside. They serve it with a generously sized crab rangoon and an egg roll that is on the smaller side. Both good but the rangoon was enough better than the egg roll that I will ask for two of them next time around. Fried rice rounds out the dish and was very well made albeit a bit salty, even for fried rice which is inherently salty. Dropped a 10-spot on the table and left very happy. I will definitely be back!

I’m not sure how this place got such high ratings. We’ve been looking for a new Chinese takeout spot, but this certainly will not be it. Food: 1) Egg Drop Soup — not the best, but it was edible(barely). 2) Crab Rangoon — based on reviews, the hubby wanted to get these. He couldn’t even eat a whole one. He said instead of cream cheese, it tasted like sweet cream inside. 3) Hot Braised Chicken — the hubby said it was gross. 4) Singapore Noodle — while the dish def had curry, that was the only thing that seemed right. Instead of rice noodles, this had lo mein noodles. Besides the curry, it had no other flavor. We’ll continue our hunt for a new spot…

This weekend was our first time eating at China in Bombay. It’s in a rather unassuming location, small inside, but clean. We didn’t realize that lunch hours were only from 11−2pm and we walked in at almost 1:50. The waiter was very nice and assured us it was ok to have a seat. Two of us got vegetarian dishes, and my husband, who does not like most Chinese food, got Kung Pao chicken. We were served promptly, food was piping hot and fresh. Kung Pao chicken was deemed the best my hubs had had to date, my eggplant dish was excellent, and vegetarian dumplings were delicious. My preschooler got the appetizer dish of Golden Fried Chicken, which is chunks of tempura battered fried chicken — and she actually liked it and ate it. We’ll be back for more.

If you are looking for indian chinese this is not the place. Did not enjoy the hakka noodles and manchurian. The place did not look very convincing from outside but we thought the food might be good anyways. Such a disappointment.

This was my first time at this restaurant. The food was excellent, I had the Yang Chow, it was great. I will return here again SOON.

Not bad, but nothing especially Indo-Chinese about the dishes we had. It was just your middle-of-the-road chilli chicken — not the stuff you’d get in Calcutta or Mumbai.

This is the best Chinese-Meets-Indian food you’ll find! The restaurant space is very small, but a lot of their business is done via take-out. They don’t carry pork products, but you won’t care once you try some amazing Sweet and Sour Chicken or Hot Braised Chicken! They are very fast at making the food, and friendly too. The price is maybe a tad higher than some Chinese food places but the quality can’t be matched.

Fantastic! Very fresh. Good prices. Perfect portion size, not too big, not too small. I’ve lived in this area my whole life, so I’ve tried every Chinese place around here. This one is easily the best. My only regret is that I waited so long to try it! I came in and got the lunch special of General Tso’s chicken, which included fried rice, soup and appetizer. I chose hot & sour soup and crab rangoon. The hot & sour soup was delicious, and I’m pretty picky when it comes to my hot & sour soup. It was nice and thick, but not overloaded with egg like most places, and I could taste fresh ginger. The crab rangoon was perfect, crispy and hot, creamy with a hint of sweetness. The fried rice had a wonderful fresh wok taste to it like it was prepared to order, not drying out in a steam tray like other Chinese places. The General Tso’s chicken was absolutely wonderful. Boneless chunks of chicken with a nice thin layer of crispy breading, very tasty sauce. Not very spicy, but there was plenty of chili sauce on the table to adjust the level of heat to one’s individual preference. Overall, my meal was awesome. I can’t wait to come back and try more dishes! If they’re all as good as this one, I think I’ve found my new favorite Chinese restaurant!

The smell and fresh stir-fry veggies leftovers(not killed-to-death) from other tables prove that Chef has real Chinese culinary skills. I lived in SoCal before. This kind of mastery of wok is a rare gem even in Cali. Not greasy, not MSG-overwhelmed.For starters, try Yan Chow fried rice and Crispy Prawn pepper salt. You’ll notice smoky good smell and fall in love right away.

I decided to try this place out based on reviews and the fact that I live literally 2 minutes away. It’s a little hole in the wall, and usually those are the hidden gems right? Well, I only ordered one lunch special, devil’s beef, and it was eh. The entire meal was bland bland bland. It needed more salt, more spice, something! The spring roll was puny and flavorless, the hot and sour soup was bland, and the devils beef was boring. Every once in a while it gave me a kick because I bit into a pepper flake, but apparently those peppers didn’t blend into the entire dish. The whole thing was disappointing. The plus side was that it wasn’t too greasy, but man I’d rather have some greasy flavor rather than tasteless. Skip it. The crab rangoon was ok.

4.0 Stars Sometimes you just crave that cheap, tasty Chinese and don’t care if it is good for you. While waiting for a haircut next door at Mike’s Barborshop, I popped in here for a quick lunch. The décor/ambiance is not noteworthy, and the eating capacity is limited to a few 4-tops and 2-tops; this is clearly setup as a quick lunch stop or take out. The service was efficient although the server was on the phone when bringing out the food, which was an oddity. Then again, for $ 7, I was there for the food, not the service. On to the food: As the other reviews states, this restaurant leans more towards Chinese than Indian. I tried the Chicken 65 lunch special(hot and sour soup, two egg rolls, fried rice, and the chicken) based on the suggestion of another Unilocaler and was not disappointed. The food arrived fast and was plenty hot. I like that it had some spice to it, because so often the little chile icons on the menu are there just for show. If you don’t want the spice, avoid the green chilies and don’t add the hot oil like I do. If I am looking for a quick, relatively cheap Chinese fix and in the area, I will stop by. I do not know if I will make any special trips to seek out China in Bombay yet. Maybe one or two more tries may convince me if it is worth keeping this in rotation over closer Chinese restaurants.

ABSOLUTEHEAVEN! This is a tiny place. I think it’s three 2-tops, two 4-tops. Doesn’t matter. I’ll wait for a table, or get it to go. YUM. And I am super-picky about Chinese food. I’ve been going here since it opened, and the food has NOT gone down in quality. Hui has a deft touch in the kitchen. You want it a certain way? Not a problem. The sauces are as subtle or as assertive as they should be. Chicken with snow peas has the lightest, loveliest sauce… General Tao’s Chicken is crispy, savory, and delicious. We even had someone ask what it was we were mooning over as we ate so they could order some to go in addition to what they already ordered! If you like fresh food served HOT, go here. I can pick it up, bring it home, and it’s still screamin’ hot. To me, the fried rice tells you if the place is generally good, or generally awful. This fried rice is incredible. Fried, not greasy. Enough veg/protein, not too much. I’ve had many items on the menu, and have not been disappointed yet. I love it. p. s. Only irritation: Lunch menu not available for Sat. lunch, but it’s still so good I order away.

Very good fried rice, some of the best I’ve had. Shopping center just east of Steak n Shake on south side of Manchester. Very small, carryout place. If they say hot they mean it. 10 times better than the average place of this type in St. Louis.

Not sure why the other reviews are so high i mean its ok. You might have a hard time finding the place at night bc they don’t turn the sign on. I had the chili chicken which I thought was rather greasy but not bad. The restaurant itself is really a take-out place. They have like 5 or 6 tables inside but very very small. After looking over the menu for awhile I was a little confused on where the Indian food was the menu is easily 99% Chinese. I did see one dish that was called curry so that must have been it. overall it was just ok nothing bad but def nothing that stands out! Food was cheap and plentiful.
