I keep on coming back for their pad thai! It hits the spot and they serve a good size portion. Just ordered takeout tonight for the pad thai with tofu. They ask if you want it mild, medium, or hot. I went for the mild, but next time maybe medium. It was a little pricey at $ 12+. I didn’t get to eat all of it before the movie I went to see, and the leftovers were yummy! I just wish there were more tofu and egg in it! I have dined at the sit-down portion of the restaurant a few times before. They have a great option if you are dining with kids. Not on the menu, but available, are chicken nuggets and fries! There’s not usually many diners here, but today when I picked up my takeout, I noticed there were a couple other takeout orders waiting this Wednesday night. I hope they stay in business!

My party of 5 and I went to appeThaizing for dinner on a Saturday night, based strictly on the fact that we adored the name. I pushed for this location specifically because of the $ 10 off that I saw on Unilocal! The décor is modern and chic, but we felt comfortable in jeans and tank tops. It was practically empty so we were instantly seated. One of my friends and I split the tuna tartar, which was out of this world. It’s on a bed of seaweed salad, which made it stand out. Everyone else got chicken or beef pad Thais while I got the chicken green curry. I tried my friend’s pad Thai and it was seriously the best pad Thai I’ve ever had. I regret not ordering it. But damn my need to try new things and stand out! My green curry was a tad too spicy for me, but that was my own fault for asking it that way(«Thai people spicy» over«white people spicy…»). If it had been a regular level of spicy, I would’ve been more at ease. But I still REALLY enjoyed it! Would love to hit up the other branches on my next Syracuse trip.

Nothing beats Bangkok which is down the road, but this place is an ok substitute. Very nice inside. The hostess was miserable though.

Can be a bit pricey for food that is by and large good. On occasion the preparation can be inconsistent though overall you should be happy Interesting to note that I ordered takeout, sat at the bar for 10 – 15(so far) and haven’t been asked if I’d like a cocktail.(Don’t judge-I know it’s Tuesday). Seems like an opportunity to drive some revenue was lost.

I have never ordered something from appeThaizing that wasn’t absolutely delicious. Spacious inside to dine in, but the take out is wonderful for a night in! You can never go wrong with the Pad Thai. I ask for mine spicy!

Best Thai place close to my house. The restaurant dinning area is always clean and the wait staff are pleasant. I usually get the chicken satay and Pad Thai with chicken. Very tasty.

Every entrée is prepared fresh, and comes out to the table hot. Presentation is nice, flavors are great. My favorite appetizer is the appethaizing shrimp. Crunchy, and a yummy cream sauce. Also having mussaman curry tonight. Hope to have room for dessert. They have a stuffed orange that’s really refreshing!

Delicious! The beautiful thing is that it is almost as cheap as Chinese food but the quality is so much better! The appethaizing shrimp are a must have for an app.

Last night I had the Beef Thai Salad and I was very happy with it. nice tender pieces of meat over a variety of lettuce leaves, small cute tomatoes, green onions, etc. I asked them to hold the red onions… Dressing on the side. I also had the vegetarian spring rolls and they were of good size… nice, crispy and cooked just right. This is a solid choice for Thai food if you are in the area.

I had a great first experience here this past weekend! Michelle was a very helpful(and cute) waitress. The food we all ordered was very good! My only gripe is that the hot sauce and the dried flakes were not very hot at all! I was anticipating something very hot, since it was just one step below their thai heat(or some name like that) sauce. Unfortunately, it had the same low heat as a mild mexican salsa. Something made me guess that the pad thai which i put the sauce on had heavily diffused the heat from the sauce. Aside from questioning the heat, I had a great experience here and I will definitely come back here on my next ride up from Long Island.

We did not have the pleasure of dine-in so please understand that this review is based on takeout. The fried rice with Tofu was great. Good flavor and lots of of it too :) The Red Curry with chicken was not spicy, even after we had asked for hot. Great flavor but not what we had asked for; seems to be a theme with Ethnic restaurants in the Syracuse area. Ask for Extra-extra hot ;) The fried tilapia was absolutely dreadful. They just served battered fish fry, topped it with scallions and dipped in some sauce before sending out the kitchen. NOFLAVOR whatsoever. Those three dishes cost $ 44! Definitely not worth the price.

The food was very good with descent portions. The only draw back a little pricey. We order two dinners and the bill was over 30 $ and that was takeout.

I tend to shy away from restaurants with cliché names, like this one — especially when they’re located in a strip mall between a grocery store and a liquor store. Hence the delay in checking it out. On the inside, this place(I agree with Patrick T.) is «classy yet comfortable», and the food is definitely on point. There is also a cute little bar, and the dim /diffused lighting adds to the warmth. The pad thai with added mixed vegetables was so good I ate it in the car before I got the take out home! And the fish dishes are also very well prepared, with attention to detail. Service is also quite good. Mostly young women who are attentive but not intrusive, mature, but fun-loving. My server was also knowledgeable enough to know when she should seek further information from kitchen about my special requests(unlike some wait staff who flat refuse dietary requests without checking into it). What I didn’t like was some of the extra charges, and the scallops — while very well prepared were inordinately huge, which was creepy. I think I will stick with wild caught seafood or just simply veggies when eating out. I recommend dining here. (It’s probably«good for kids» but it’s nice when parents are in tune with whether their«kids are good for dining out». I’d hate to be enjoying my meal here amidst spoiled screams and tantrums — save those for Applebee’s, please).

What a fantastic surprise this place turned out to be! AppeThaizing gutted and completely remodeled this space(formerly a mediocre Chinese buffet) into what is now a classy yet comfortable and casual space that could easily lend itself to romance if that’s your plan. Otherwise you’re sure to find the soft color palate a relaxing and peaceful backdrop for a great meal. The food rivals some of the best Thai that we’ve had the plaesure of eating. We started our lunch with a Thai Beef Salad, which was super fresh with a cilantro and lime dressing over tender juicy slices of perfectly cooked beef. I selected Shrimp Pad Thai(medium heat) as my entrée, and my partner selected Green Curry with Shrimp(hot). Lunch portions are perfectly sized, we were full but not uncomfortably stuffed. My Pad Thai had a sweet and robust tamarind sauce with a wonderful warming heat that followed each mouthful. This was the perfect amount of heat, enough to make itself known and almost bring on a sweat, but not so overpowering that the other flavors got lost. The shrimp were large, juicy and plentiful. The green curry was spicy and arrived with ample Japanese eggplant, mushrooms, baby corn and peppers, and a side of Thai rice that my partner said was«absolutely delicious». Our bill for a shared appetizer and two entrees was under $ 30. Dinner entrees run approximately $ 5 more per plate than the lunch menu. Both menus are available online. If you enjoy Thai you owe it to yourself to check out AppeThaizing. We thoroughly enjoyed it and are already planning our next visit!
