I brought my Chevy Camaro in for a full inside and out detail. I made the appointment six to eight weeks out and was quoted double what other shops quoted. I knew they did good body work from other clients and thought they would do a better job then a detail shop. When I brought it in the owner had forgotten to place the order for the touch up paint. They went ahead and did the detail and I was to bring it back in for the touch up paint when that came in. When they delivered the car there were smudges on the outside where the polish wasn’t buffed out, bugs still stuck to the front of the car, the windows had been rolled down while the car was still damp so they were smudged, the carpets hadn’t been steamed cleaned(only the mats) the leather seats had only been partially cleaned and conditioned, and there was still dirt in the cracks of the seat. They hadn’t even vacuumed the trunk area. I understand they were going to have it back in the shop but I still had to drive it around until then. When I called I was told they’d make it right. When I brought it back they had it for two days. I checked the areas I knew still needed attention, the carpets were fully cleaned and the seats were clean and conditioned. However the storage pockets in the doors hadn’t been cleaned, the area the cup holder slides in and out hadn’t been cleaned and the inside windows and the rearview mirror were smudged. When I told the owner he looked at me and said«we did 18 hours of work on it, just pay for the touch up work then». My husband didn’t feel that was fair and they had adjusted the price to be inline with the other shops in the area, so we paid the reduced price. That reaction wasn’t what I expected, I expected them to come out with a rag and clean these areas(this is what the carwashes do if you notice a missed spot). I think they are a body shop and not a detail shop as they didn’t pay attention to detail. The car wasn’t a mess when brought in and should have looked like new when I picked it up.
