Besides the fact that it was a hole in the wall, this place really was a decent choice on my end for a cheesesteak. It was pretty good considering the fact that we are obviously not in Philly, and that nothing beats an AUTHENTIC cheesesteak sandwich. I ordered an original philly, minus the mayo, and a small order of cheese fries. Fries were definitely kind of watery and soggy because of the steam, but otherwise I was pleased. The sandwich itself was good, again, bread was soggy because of steam. Definitely enough for 2 meals. Minus one star for the phone number being out of service when I wanted to call in an order.

The cheesesteaks were A-OK ! I’ve driven to Philly a few times to experience«authentic» cheesesteak. This joint was just as good. The owner Melvin was a gent and a fair guy, as he honored my groupon which had expired. Call before you go to ascertain if they’re open.(The store hours were a little funky). Swear I saw smokin’ Joe Frazier leaving with a bag of cheesesteaks, as I was walking in ! lol

I was skeptical about this place at first but I was in need for real food in the area. I ordered a fish sandwich and MANNNNN let me tell you, they put so much love into it. The portions are so big, you can share. The cole slaw against the fried fish brought out so many wonderful flavors. This place knows how to do it!

I am a big fan of cheesesteaks and have been craving a good one for quite a while. More Steak Than Philly filled my cheesesteak needs, they make a solid cheesesteak with a good meat to cheese to bread ratio. Tasty!

Had the Philly cheese and the turkey hoagie, I must say both were good and made just the way I wanted it. Lot of meat, fresh ingredients. Good experience for my first visit, will be back.

Traditional cheesesteak with extra cheese was great. Curly fries with cheese on the side was awful. After a few fries I could not eat anymore. Soggy and tasted like the oil it was fried in was old. Storefront and location leave something to be desired and it looks a bit hood inside. No place to eat inside. Only to go. Good yo support a black owned business. Looks like they have lots of variety in the menu as well,

Greatest philly cheese steak i’ve ever had. Hands down. The ones in philly don’t even compare to this! The chef chopping up the ingredients is a sight to see also! I highly highly recommend this place!

I went to More steak than Philly to get some Philly cheese steak sandwiches. I ordered two double meat cheese steaks. This is essentially a takeout only eatery. These were rather large quite filling sandwiches(about ¾ of a pound each). The high quality mix of cheese steak and onions was almost perfect. The price of the item was about 10.00 each not bad for such a large sandwich. The price to value ratio here is about average for this type of eatery. This was a very good experience and I look forward to returning in the near future.

Was looking for a Philly Cheesesteak. This was not the right place to look. Sandwich was mediocre at best. Will not be going back

I’ve lived in Philly for years and this place is definitely a contender. The food is delicious and the customer service is great. However, the wait time is insane. I’ve never seen cheesesteaks take so long to make, but the quality and taste make it al worth it.

Been wanting to try this place out. The day arrived after a 25 min drive… There was a gentleman behind the counter which was very friendly and helpful. 1 chicken wings are awesome 2 the curly fries yum yum with the house sauce 3 cheese steak was delicious. Small place inside with 3 chairs but who needs seating to go. This tasty food is to enjoy at home where you can get messy with no guilt. The prices did go up still worth it. I posted a pic of the menu with he updated prices. Great food to try at least once!

I lived nearby in the area most of my life. More Steak Than Philly is a new kid on the block. MSTP offers a wide variety of Philly Steak Sandwiches. Most popular being the Chicken Philly Steak. Chopped white meat covered in cheese, peppers and onions on a pillow soft hoagie roll. My only complaint here is the dry texture of the chicken. It reminded me of Chicken of The Sea Tuna. Maybe i needed more sauce, maybe more cheese, perhaps the A1 or Buffalo Chicken Steak couldve remedied the issue of texture? The steaks are now $ 8.50. What you receive is a sub filled with meat, onions and cheese. The gentlemen at the counter were friendly and service was Quick, fresh, served piping hot in a hurry. Took about 15 min cook prep time. I watched it be made in front of me. This shop is No Frills and for late night grub after the club or midnight cravings. Plastic chairs and a delicatessen dive feel. Gets the job done. I will be back like Arnold to sample the other unique creations that could make or break the addition of a 4 – 5 Star increase.

If you like chicken wings, this is your place! They have different sauces to choose from, the wings are huge, finger licking, tasty super yummy and very meaty. Their wings are unlike any chain food restaurant out there, nice twist to it, with their special sauces. I love this place for the wings. Good job guys!

Cheesesteak was horrible, dry, barely any cheese, the fries were not even cooked and disgustingly greasy. This place was gross. I bought coupon online wasn’t worth the money. I will never eat there again.

MORESTEAKTHANPHILLY! Just the name of this place alone is pure GENIUS! This place definitely has a divey look to it, so don’t be alarmed. I saw four lawn chairs when I entered lol, but that didn’t stop me from ordering. I wanted something greasy and filling… I was HUNGRY and was not in the mood for a diner. I ordered the A1PHILLYCHEESECHICKEN sandwich. They have the option of steak, but I love that they have the chicken alternative for those who don’t eat beef. My sandwich was loaded with chicken, cheese, green peppers and a delicious oriental garlic sauce. I didn’t know what to expect when I took the first bite, but let me just tell you… it was the MOSTDELICIOUSPHILLYCHEESE that I ever had in my life! The sandwich was seasoned just right and had the perfect amount of cheese. This place was so good that I went two nights in a row! This will definitely be my new late night spot, and they close at 2AM! If you’re craving something quick and delicious you must try MORESTEAKTHANPHILLY!

Okay, at about 1am, I was looking for something greasy, spicy and messy that would probably give me the blues about my college years/freshman«15» in Baltimore and my visits to Philly on the weekends, and I landed upon this dive… I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Philly with mayo and more hot sauce because I love a good burn! I also ordered a small side of curly fries(if you don’t ask for condiments, they don’t off them… no ketchup in my bag for the fries but I didn’t eat the fries anyway… I will tell you about that in a sec)… The Chicken Philly was awesome! Hands down! Sloppy, messy, and filling! I’m a short girl but I like to eat and after eating half of the sandwich in my car(and spilling sauce on my leather seats… so good I didn’t even care) I was convinced that I should be cautious not to get addicted or I would have to start investing in bigger pants soon… but my mind is made up that this is my new favorite late night spot! The cheese was good(regular white American slices) but the Chicken and onions and Buffalo sauce was the real star! The chicken is chopped with the onions and the sauce is very liberally applied during the cooking process to ensure every bite is covered! Now the reasons for the 4 stars given… The fries were greasy and soggy unflavored and just plain terrible. I took a bite and felt grossed out by all the grease. Nothing could save these things and I will never order them again. I don’t know how you mess that up! Also, I don’t need a place to always be sparkling, but this place is definitely teetering on dump/dive territory. There are about 3 grungy lawn chairs to sit on and a nice flat screen however, but, that’s about it. This place could use a major make over. Otherwise, the food is good! If you try not to look around too much, it’s a great spot to grab a bite that will fill you up for a good price!

If you once liked Chicken Holiday, More Steak Than Philly is a great alternative only a few blocks away. As other reviewers have said, it’s more of a takeout place than a sit down restaurant. My friend and I got the wings in «Oriental Chicken» and«Buffalo»(3 pieces of each for around $ 9). The Buffalo wings were super spicy, and the Oriental Chickens were good if salty. We would probably only get the Oriental Chicken flavor again, but overall good fried food if you’re in the mood!

This place was such a great find at 1AM on this part of Long Island. I ordered the fish and fries and it was absolutely delicious! The fish was crispy and seasoned very well. I had about 4 pieces of fish and a huge side of curly fries for about $ 8. I’m very«saucey» and he provided more than enough ketchup and tartar sauce without even asking. Great Price, Good Food, Huge Portions, & Open Late! I’ll be back!
