I hate to be the one to post a bad review… Service can be awkward, we were able to see who were regulars there and who were not based on the waitress’ attention. The salsa they put out with the chips is super gross. The table was really sticky. I found food in my drink as soon as it got to my table. The food was okay. Nothing to complain about there… Except one thing. I GOTFOODPOISONING! I have never been more sick in my life! As you can tell I will not be a returning costumer of theirs.

Fantastic find in Baldwin Park. The food is delicious and the service is outstanding! Friendly staff along with homemade tortillas and fajitas to die for makes for an excellent place to eat. I highly recommend this place to anyone who lives or who may be traveling through this area.

Boyfriend and I stopped by for an early lunch… I got the huevos rancheros– comes with beans country style potatoes and the huevos rancheros… the beans were good, the potatoes were quite delicious, and the egg was good, but I’ve had better. My boyfriend got the Mixed Molcajete and it was SUPERB! Very flavorful, well seasoned, just plain delicious. It had nopales, carne asada, pollo asado, chorizo, & queso. It also came with a side of rice and beans. Will definitely come back to try their other dishes. Service was great.

My husband and I were in the area and decided we’d stopped by and try the place out. Can’t deny the fact we’ll be back again! Their authentic Mexican food is beyond delicious! Not to mention their prices, they’re great! My husband and I suggest you try the Canarones a La Diabla if you love that spicy kick on your tongue!

I love this place! They have the best Mexican food around and the prices are very very good. From $.99 tacos to $ 4.99 breakfasts and everything in between. I highly recommend the machaca & eggs as well as their burritos. Even my Mom, who’s not a big Mexican food fan, admitted they make the best burrito she’s ever tasted. We try to get their at least once a week. We live in Arcadia so it’s a 15 – 20 minute drive but worth it. As everything here is garbage except the Chinese and Vietnamese food. Tonight we were all craving Mexican so I headed there to pick up some togo. Unfortunately they were closed for repairs and I was forced to find an alternative. I won’t mention any names but we ended paying twice as much and the food was bland and overly greasy. Staying loyal to Casa Ramona from now on, it really is the best. Not too mention the staff is very friendly and the owner is super sweet. They almost make you feel like family when you go there.

99 cents Taco nights is a must! …At least once a week! It has always been my view that when you live in the neighborhood, most especially if the location is merely a block away, it’d be simply snootish of you not to walk around and try out the local eatery. Doesn’t even matter that my fiancé and I are probably the only Asians walking around in this neighborhood where majority is of Mexican or Spanish speakers. We now live here so it’s OUR hood too: p Anyway, there was a restaurant in the same location that closed down sometimes last year. The now Casa Ramona is a new restaurant(so new that as of today they still waiting to get their beer & alcohol license!). New owner, fresher and cleaner dining area — a lady continuously walking around cleaning, wiping the window, tables. What drew us to stop here in the first place is the Taco table they set up outside the restaurant on weekends. Simply put, since then we look forward to our evening walk — towards the taco stand :) Owner is pleasant. The guy who cooked the taco outside is friendly. The taco selection range from the basic to exotic(may be not to them but to me if there are more than asada, pollo and carnitas the selection is extensive enough) — pollo, asada, carnitas, al pastor, lengua, cabeza. And oh-em-gee… they convert me to be a fan of lengua! To you who haven’t learned your Spanish yet, it’s tongue. They cooked it so tender and tasty! Placed them in those small tortillas with cilantros, onion, salsa and lime? … Mmm Mmm Mmm! Put 6 on my plate and I will eat them up! :) The asada(beef) equally soft and tasty. The pollo juicy, carnitas tasty. I’m not a fan of al pastor just because it’s too oily for me. I did taste it and it’s flavorful. My fiancé loves the cabeza(head). It’s very very soft and buttery. In this neighborhood packed with competitors(Baldwin Park with Mexican restaurant is like Monterey Park with Chinese restaurant) I know we’re drawn to this place in particular because of the service, location and most important, the tacos.
