The Muddy duck is a dive college bar. It’s also a good joint to grab a shot and a beer when the kids are in class. St. Patrick’s day is a whole ‘nother story. Normally I avoid bars on St. Pats and New Year’s Eve when the amateur drinkers come out. If you are an old fart and want to do shots with a bunch of Catholic hotties (and not have to buy) then St. Pat’s is a good day to visit the Duck. I no longer live around the corner, though.

Be forewarned, this is your standard St. Joe’s college dive bar. So if you would rather keep away from students reminiscing over spilled beer (and a lot of it) then you best avoid it.
But otherwise it’s a good place to get away over some cheap drinks, shoot some darts, play pool, and join in on a drunken chorus line of music.
