My wife and I are new to the area so I was looking for a new tailor. I brought a pair of pants to them to be altered, a simple alteration that I had done on several pairs of pants by other tailors before. When I dropped them off they assured me they told me they could do the job, after all it was just a simple taper. When I picked them up I realized they ruined my pants. When I asked them to fix them they did nothing. They are dishonest and incompetent. I don’t trust them and will never go back there.

I love their home pickup service. Always had a good experience here. Been using for several years.

i have very little experience with dry cleaners, so take this review with a grain of salt. dropped off two wool coats that were in bad need of cleaning. i came back to collect them on the appointed day, only to be told they were not ready yet. the owner informed me that he had to de-pill the coats, could i come back tomorrow? the problem is this cleaner is on my way to work in Haverford, and i was not going to work the next day. my partner needed his coat for the next day, as he was going on a business trip. which means i had to make a special trip from far, far east Philadelphia to Bala Cynwyd to pick them up. bah. however, the coats looked gorgeous. almost brand new. and for $ 35(of which i negotiated 10% off), very reasonable. annoyed at the delay, but good results. i’ll probably be back because it’s next to my favorite Starbucks. /yuppie

SIGH. I dropped shoes off here to be repaired and the girl warned me that it would be expensive. I asked her how much and she could not give me an answer. Apparently they have no price lists for the outsourced shoe repair. One pair needed new lifts and a bit of touch up on the heel and the other needed lifts and tips. A whopping 3 weeks later, the shoes come back. Two pair came to $ 74.00! I was appalled! I asjed how that could have cost that much as what I asked for was not very much. I surveyed the one pair and thought it was passable. Not great, but passable. That pair was 23. I asked why the other pair was 50 when all I could see was that he had put on the lift. I didn’t even see a new tip! She said that he did«all this» and indicated a ful half sole! Well, it looked great, don’t get me wrong. But all I asked for was the tip(of the sole) not a half sole. I told them that as I did not authorize it, I was not going to pay. I never told anyone that I wanted to half sole put on the shoe. I was very clear in what I wanted. The joker who owns the place was not happy and said that the repair guy said that since the shoe wa sworn, it needed it. He saw it so he knows. Yeah? Well, why didn’t someone call me? I did not authorize this work and I was not paying for it. He replied he was not a shoe expert(which he appeared to be about 30 seconds before) and if I left the shoe he would talk to the repair guy again. So, like a moron, I left with the one pair. The more I thought about it, the more pissed off I got. Believe me, that is saying something. First of all, there was no reason for me to wait another two weeks when the shoes were done and a phone call is what was needed. So, with about a 5 day wait, I went back there and my shoes were at the repair shop again! There was no explanation why. I asked where the shop was so I could go talk to the repairman directly. The owner wouldn’t tell me. He called the shoe repair while I stood there and claimed nothing hapened. I am supposed to go back there tomorrow morning. Why do I have a funny feeling the guy ripped the soles off and completely ruined the shoe? Update tomorrow.
