Excellent salon! I’ve been going to Chez Raina for over 5 years for nail care. I usually get acrylic nails but Raina offers all the latest nail services, including gels. Raina is one of the only nail techs in the Philadelphia area that uses a nail file instead of a drill for acrylic nails. She also makes your nails look natural, never too thick or bulky. I get tons of compliments on my nails because they look so natural. The salon atmosphere is nice and the staff is friendly and professional. In addition to nails, they also offer pedicures, waxing and hair care. The location is great too, with free off-street parking. I highly recommend this salon.

Great place! Always squeeze you in, always make you feel comfortable! Great place to get a blow out, shape up, quick cut or get your nails did!!! Owner is on the floor at all times making you feel right at home. Very friendly staff who always go out of their way for their customers. Never a bad experience and prices are fair!

I’ve been going to Chez Raina for 20 years and wouldn’t go anywhere else. Raina does the perfect acrylics and gel… have gotten compliments throughout the years. Amanda gives a great haircut and keritin and Inger is a perfectionist with waxing and pedicures. I have recommended friends and family who are now regulars as well. I can’t imagine the reviewers who said the staff aren’t friendly or that it is empty — even the customers get to know each other during our visits and they schedule their customers to be on time and not have to wait around. I’m a fan!

DONOTGOHERE. The other reviewers are absolutely right — there’s barely ever any other customers there for a reason(beyond the stupidly hidden location). I followed my stylist there after the salon she worked at closed, and they recently let her go for no good reason whatshowever. Too talented perhaps. It’s really not well-equipped to be anything other than a nail salon anyway(yay horrible fumes while you’re getting your hair done!) and the prices are far too high for what’s clearly a pretty amateur operation. There are so many other options in the Philly area — do yourself a favor and go literally anywhere else.

I’ve been here several times and am not a big fan of the place. The hair cuts I’ve received have been fine, but the atmosphere here is weird. There are never really any other customers. Every time I’ve come in – on a weeknight or Saturday – there’s never more than one or two other customers, but there always seems to be four or five staff members milling around and looking smug. The staff is not that friendly(except for my stylist, who recently left). I kept thinking it was all in my head, but after my last visit the owner didn’t even say hello to me(when I was the only person in the salon!) and I decided this place is just plain weird.

Do not waste your time and money on this salon. I never write negative reviews but I had to get the word out there. I went to this salon based on a Groupon that I purchased. I brought a picture with me showing the color that I wanted. What I ended up with was the worst highlights I have ever received! I called the next day with my concerns. They told me to come back in and they would fix it. They gave me the SAME stylist who clearly didn’t know what she was doing. I asked her to dye my hair back to the original color because the highlight was unfixable. She then charged me for the color and within three days the new color had completely washed out. It’s a shame that I had to spend $ 60 on the Groupon $ 20 on the color and $ 30 tip. Please save your money and try another salon!
