Rude right off the start. Do not go waste your time. Also really over priced glasses their two for one deal is just a bunch of lies.

Bait and switch! Called to set my appointment and were told my insurance was accepted. Until we showed up and they basically were trying to help us commit insurance fraud. After an hour of runaround, it turned out our insurance was not accepted. They kept saying to just pay up front and we would be reimbursed. We know our insurance doesn’t work like that. After we left, we called our insurance provider and were told we never would have seen more than $ 30 in reimbursement. I would not recommend going here for anything!!! So happy we didn’t give them a dime.

Stanton optical continues to disappoint. I was told someone will contacted on Friday Feb 5th afternoon at the latest. It’s Sunday and not a peep from Stanton. We’ll see how much longer does it take ***I better get comfortable while wait***

The people there are really nice for the most part. Overall the service leaves much to be desired. I ordered glasses and trial contacts 2 months ago. The glasses finally came in, but they were the wrong frames. The let me keep them, ugly as they were, so there’s that… I had to wait for the new glasses to come in, which was still before the trial contact lenses. The new glasses did not have the polishing I paid for. I have TERRIBLE vision and have since I was very young. I know it takes longer to glasses or contacts for my prescription, but 2 months is insane. The fact that I still don’t have my trial contacts even in is ridiculous. Stay away from this place. I would have been better off going ANYWHEREELSE.

I called on Saturday, January 2, 2016 to inquire about available spots for an optometrist appointments. The optometrist had several appointment times for that day. I arrived to the appointment and was seen within minutes. I informed the assistant that I wasn’t going to purchase any glasses there. I just wanted the prescription. She informed me that if I get glasses there the exam is free otherwise it’s $ 29. I then inquired the optometrist if he could measure my pupillary distance. Which I need in order to purchase glasses else where. The optometrist informed me that they would measure that outside, and that they had special instruments to help to make sure it’s accurate. Once the exam was completed and I was paying I asked if they could measure my pupillary distance. They informed me that they only do that when you are purchasing glasses from there, however, that she would ask anyways. She then took me to another clerk and informed her of my request. The clerk continues to informed me and suggest that I get glasses there. I told her my reason as to why I didn’t want to get them from there, which where the time(last time I got them from there it took over a month to get my glasses), and quality. They informed me that there have been some changes made and things are better. I polite declined, she then told me to go and wait at the table and that she would send someone to assist me. I waited at the table and within minutes a gentleman came to assist me. He continues to tell me about the deals, I then again told him that I didn’t want any from here. He aggressively tells me about their deals. I polite tell him that I am not interested. At this moment I don’t have my prescription. My prescription is then walked from the back and given to the gentleman instead of being given to me. As he continues to tell me about their deals, and assure me that he can get the glasses in by Monday, January 4, 2016 as he is the manager. At this point I am upset and so I grab my prescription out of his hands and walk away. ***************** I understand that the pupillary distance is measure when you purchase glasses from there, but don’t tell me you are going to do it after I have told you several times that I am not going to purchase glasses from there. Charge me for the service, I don’t care, just don’t insist if I had already told you NO several times. I really didn’t care for the glasses that I got from them. The only reason I went back to them was because the price of the exam is the lowest in town. Other places are about $ 50+.

They were late with my appointment and I had to come back. Came to get the two frames for $ 69. They had 4 frames.

Horrible customer service! Ordered prescription 5 weeks ago on very simple contact lenses, and still have not received them. They’re actually not cheap, ive been coming here for the past year and this is the 3rd time they take forever. The first time someone forgot to place the order! Second time its was late, this time is late again. If you can go to COSTCOORWALMART who are BETTERCUSTOMERSERVICE. the reason i came here is because it was closer to me to drive after my surgery, otherwise I would have gone elsewhere.

Nice people. You’re in and out. They say they take walk-ins, but will put you on the end of the list. Good variety of glasses. Economical. Took my mom and they treated her really nice.

They called me in when the glasses just leave the lab and tell me to comeback on the other day! So annoying

I’d like to give zero stars. As a «previous» customer of Stanton Optical who was not pleased; I obviously haven’t done any business with them in a few years. However when a pair of Rx sunglasses broke recently(an easy fix, the arm just needed glued back on) I thought«Ill swing by and see if they can fix them for me». MYMISTAKE. The associate did not even bother to look at them. Due to the fact I had them over a year all he would say was«we don’t do repairs here, a place in the mall does and I can’t remember the name of it» I replied«why would I go to the mall? I bought these here?» Long story short, I ended up going to another Optical business who took 5 minutes to repair them, no questions asked and free of charge!

It is very misleading to claim that this office is handicapped accessible when the handicapped person can only go as far as the lobby and not receive the serviced intended. There should be an option available to perform an eye exam on a person in a wheelchair and is not able to get up out of the chair ie. Quadriplegics…

Waited for a month for my 2 pairs of glasses. I needed them ASAP. The 2 pairs of frames I had picked were nice, but once my glasses came in, it was not the type of frames I had chosen.

I won’t be going here ever again. I think they can do much better than they are. The best part of this process was the quick eye exam. I don’t recommend getting frames from them.

I recently entered my 40s and can’t see in front of my face. I had been thinking of getting checked out, since I’d had not had eyes looked at in over 20 years. I have driven past this location several times; I have always seen the sign«FREEEYEEXAM with purchase of 2 pairs for $ 69»… This is EXTREMELYMISLEADING! I will be fair and explain the experience. After walking in the door, I was asked to sign-in. Staff(very nice) then asks me to browse and pick out a couple pair of frames(I picked, 2 pairs; generic not designer). I was called back for exam(Dr. was outstanding), he gave me some options, advice and prescription for lenses. I then was asked to pay $ 29 before leaving exam area(fair price, even though it said free). I returned to front area, girl that helped me, sat down at desk to go over my wants and needs. I only needed readers, doctor said, she says«do you want free pair the same as first?» Im thinking I really only need one but if it’s free, «sure». She measures me up, again staff very pleasant. After a hour of being there(no complaints about time, I was a walk in) she starts writing on a work-up sheet; this is when I started thinking, «looking like a used car sale now! «I was right, «this cost this but no charge»; «I throw this in to all my patients»; etc… $ 555.00??? I was stunned, embarrassed and felt ridiculous that I did not ask more about prices when I walked in… Here is where I felt«HAD». She was waiting for me to barter the price, I think… I did not, I pulled out my credit card and paid. I left thinking what if I’d went in with my teenage daughter and had her checked out and then did not have the means of paying 8x what the several, huge signs say out front. I am a business man and understand up selling; I thought before walking in, I’d leave here with 3x advertised, even 4x… Again, I want to be clear on my review: Staff very nice, Doctor very professional and informative. But, now looking back on the visit, it’s clear that NO one talks pricing until you are all finished; and put on the spot. I just didn’t know, I was being set up for the shady routine. If it was not for the 7 signs outside I would have felt better about experience. Hopefully in the 14 days it will take to get $ 555 readers, I will be more grateful.

If I could give it 0 stars I would. Completely incompetent. I ordered two frames, both were completely wrong. The general manager, Brett told me that there was nothing he could do about the mistake except offer me two new frames. I’m on a time schedule. I’m moving out the country in two weeks and apparently, it takes two weeks for new glasses to get in. SIDENOTE — when my glasses came in, I DIDNTEVENGET A PHONECALL. So I called to see if they were in… Lucky me-both pairs were in… And BOTHPAIRSWERE wrong! AHHHH!!! Note — Brett the general manager is really nice. I was seething with rage and he didn’t get defensive. I know he was following his protocol, but that needs to changed I was LITERALLYONHOLDWITHTHEIRCUSTOMERSERVICEFORANHOURANDNOONEANSWERED I ended up leaving ordering two new pairs to replace the wrong order(I just wanted my money back) and a promise that they would be here before I left the country for three years. We will see…

This is my second review for this«business». Purchased a pair of glasses for my family member in October. We are now in December and still NO glasses! Let me back track and say I was informed that the glasses had arrived. I went to the store and they actually had not arrived. This happened two times! When the glasses finally did arrive they were a complete different prescription. This process has been so frustrating. I absolutely do not recommend this place to anyone!

I would give 0 stars if it was allowed. I ordered two pairs of glasses from here and waited well over a month. After a couple months a pair cracked while I walked from my warm house into the cold, they were on my face! I took them in and the woman said I had a warranty so I wouldn’t have to pay to replace them. I got the new frame and left. Once again the frame cracked in the SAME exact spot, so again I went and waited to be seen. A man who worked there proceeded to tell me I had NO warranty at all so I needed to pay twice because his employee made mistake. I’ve never ever witnessed such unappealing behavior from a so called professional. He blamed me for the frames cracking saying«You must be doing something wrong.» Never will I ever go back or recommend this place to anyone. Rude staff, long waits, lost appointments, & cheap glasses. Save your money people!

Update — surprise, surprise… When I went back to Stanton Optical to get a refund, they told me that I had waited too long. Also, their policy only covers glasses that have been«made incorrectly,» and according to them, the glasses are now fine. I made an appointment with another optometrist, and ordered two new sets of glasses. The optometrist told me that Stanton Optical gets their lenses from China, and that they grind them in such a way that my prescription will never be correct. I was fighting a losing battle. I would love to join a class-action lawsuit against this company.
