Best Chinese food & huge portions for the price! Most of the time it’s made to order, which is well worth the wait! Freshness counts!!! They also have crushed ice! Lol. I love this place!

I was craving Fish, and Ribs and Fries, after my guy took me to the first stop i voted against it, don’t even want to say the name or location. So he took me around the corner or near by to another spot. When i say, you will never be hungry again, huge portions to make you come back and if its not fresh ask them to cook you a fresh order. well it worked for my guy lol. This chinese food place Ming around the corner, I.E. chop stix express is a hidden gem. I don’t know Bakersfield that well as of yet :) this has to be one of the good places for their town. Tucked away in a shopping center. They even had Louisiana Fried Chicken and Fish and Shrimp, um we got a little of everything, kinda hungry. Which is a good combination, catfish, fried chicken, orange chicken, shrimp, man they have that duo in long beach, near Downey and it’s a perfect fit. OMG talking heaven. Try the pepper chicken cooked to order, the orange chicken melts in your mouth. The fried catfish very tender, cooked to perfection, the shrimp, so good I almost ate the tail lol. at least i got all the breading off. the fried chicken too juicy just the right seasonings and the Cold freeze Slushees. Needs more syrup or sweetner. but Yumm. Major brain freeze needed on that 110 degree temperature saturday! I tried the green slushee, i’m going back for the blue one in two weeks :) Don’t sleep on this place Unilocalers. Oh A/C works great here and they are quick. Don’t mind the server flirting with my man if that means extra and larger of everything lol. Now if i can just find the best margarita in their town…

I really like Chop Stix. A friend told me about this place a few years ago & raved about their orange chicken. She was right to! Best things about this place: 1) They’re VERY generous w/their servings. I mean, they pack it in! 2) AWESOME orange chicken! In my book, probably the best in town! Down side: The chow mein isn’t the best. It’s not bad, but I’ve had better. One of my favorite Chinese food spots in town.

Not bad, big portions. I got Kung Pow Chicken and it was missing the long red chilies. Also no pork choices. I think it was missing some ingredients. Other than that ifs good if you happen to be in the area.

We were looking for a place to eat and the 2 places we went to were closed on Sunday. It was very good. We had the best orange chicken ever! The fried rice is okay and pretty good chow mein. Pot stickers were deep fried instead of steamed and pan fried. The owner loads up your to go container with more entrees than other places. Will come back again.

A Chinese joint that serve Louisiana friend chicken? huh? What? That’s right. The Chinese portion is your typical Chinese food fair. Freshly made and good. The kicker is the Friend Chicken. I would put it on my top 10 favorite fried chicken list. The chicken was fried to perfection. Crunchy outside without getting too overly floured, juicy juicy inside. The perfect amount of seasoning. Will definitely be back when I’m around Bakersfield.

I was craving Chinese food, but didn’t feel like the usual $ 8 meals at Panda Express. A friend of mine suggested Chop Stix… so I gave it a shot. It is great! Quite possibly the best orange chicken I have ever had! The fried rice is great, the chow mein isn’t my favorite, and the beef and broccoli is very tasty. Apparently they also sell Louisianna Fried chicken there as well… which is a little weird. The woman that owns it seriously loads up your to go container with tons of entrees, which is wonderful, especially since a 2-item is $ 5.94 including tax. One meal will probably feed me for the entire weekend… providing that I can stand to eat Chinese food that much in a row!
