Our Boston Terrier was very sick and old. We knew she needed to be released from all the pain she was in, but we were worried about how this experience would be for beloved friend. We were blessed to find a listing for Dr. Lucas that said she did house calls and after hours. She called to let us know she was on the way. Our children were able to be there as it was after work. We were all a little on edge, but Dr. Lucas and her husband, Mike, put us at ease. She explained the entire process and even let us hold our dog while she administered the first shot to relax her. It was all so stress free and peaceful. We were with her till the very end and there wasn’t the tiniest bit of stress for our dog. Now, this dog has always hated Vets and freaked out every time she had to see one. I wish I had known about Dr. Lucas before. How has this wonderful, companionate woman stayed hidden? Someone should have been shouting about her from the rooftops. This will now be our Veterinarian! This was a hard day for us, for Dr. Lucas actually made it easier and her prices are even reasonable. Crazy.
