We had the chicken taquitos and they were delicious! The food is fresh and the service is great. The cashier is friendly and the food is out quick. The salsa is delicious. Will stop again when going to Vegas.

On our way home from a camping trip in Death Valley, we were hungry when we got to Baker! We pulled into this place and were greeted warmly by the lady behind the counter. My fiancé and I both got el pastor burritos. Mine was wet, his was dry. The portions were huge and brought to the table within a few minutes of sitting down. We both agreed that we could’ve definitely ordered one burrito and shared it. The green sauce on my wet burrito was spicy! This was perfect for me, but others may find it too spicy. My fiancé grabbed some salsa from the bar and said that the flavor was great, but it was a bit too runny. Our burritos were both hot, stuffed with meat, beans and cheese. We will definitely be back here again!

Tasty food, good prices. Good salsa. I like their chicken enchilada plate. Order at counter, sit at booths, very informal but clean. Parking near window so we could keep an eye on our dog, lots of dirt area to walk him too. Small market across the street is convenient. Perfect quick lunch coming back from Vegas.

Just leaving the restaurant and I just had to leave a review. It was really good! I got a carne asada burrito and my girl got carne asada tacos. The meat was bomb.(Trust me, soy Mexicano lol) Also we got freshly-squeezed orange juice which we love. I was a bit skeptical at first cause it looks a little crummy from outside, but I’m glad I went, don’t judge it by its cover. Will definitely go back when I’m on my way to Vegas again

Portion size is big enough. However, just because it’s huge doesn’t mean it’s good. I feel like coming in, this place is missable. Some flags there but with a place like Mad Greek Café across the street, there should be some business. Not a lot of people, if any in here. However this is Unilocal. We review food and service more than anything. Service was nice. Woman answered my questions about the food. Big chain Mexican restaurants mask cheap ingredients with artifical flavors which leads to sodium. Also, you can often tell how a places cooking is by tasting the beans and rice. It can tell if there are those artifical flavors, if food is fresh, etc. I ordered a quesadilla with al pastor meat. It’s a pork that usually is sweeter. It was a little bland. From other people’s reviews, carne asada would have been probably more flavorful. Rice was slightly over cooked. Beans were good. More indication they were fresh. Suggestions for the restaurant, smaller portions and smaller prices. Marinate the meats more to add the needed marinades in the food itself. They are a good place. Better than del taco down the street. But still room for improvement.

Authentic Mexican food in this very small town of Baker. Friendly Family operated. If you are stopping by to pump gas and are hungry, you should definitely stop by and support this small non chain business! I love their carne asada tacos, nachos, burritos & quesadillas! Excellent flavor to their meat. They also have chicken and a couple of other options, but I’ve only tried their carne asada(my personal preference in meats). To all the natural junkies, they also offer fresh juices. I will definitely be back.

On our way to Vegas baby but, stop at this place for a quick bite. Order the Carnitas Nachos and Chicken Quesadilla. Did not think much about it, most of all Mexican food is the same(MOST). Well I was wrong the Nachos are great big chunks of Carnitas and big slices of Avocado. The Chicken Quesadilla had a spicy smokey flavor to them. Big portions at this little hole in the wall. The service was great the girl at the counter was very nice, the only bad thing was the price around $ 20 plus dollars for two meals and two drinks. If you consider the location where is at the price is not that bad for what you received.

Over the past few years, I have always wondered what this little mexican spot was like. I ordered huevos rancheros and also one of their green veggie drinks. The plate was rather large and came with additional tortillas. I must say the sauce was tasty with a good amount of spice. The beans were tasty, but the rice was a little bland. Chips and salsa was better than average too! I gave it 3 stars only because the lady behind the counter was a little bit on the abrasive side. It was clean and otherwise very pleasant. I will definitely give it another try on my next trip to Vegas!

Stopped here on my way down to Baja(MX) for some tasty, cheap tacos. Los Dos Toritos did not disappoint on both regards. I’ll be honest, the restaurant definitely has the whole fast food/‘hole in the wall’ vibe going on, but don’t let that scare you away(I almost let it – it’s not as nice as the photos make it seem). Inside it’s clean, bright, and quiet. There’s plenty of seating — large booths to accommodate groups or families and smaller tables for the solo or paired diners. Service was good. The young hispanic girl was a friendly, bubbly and patient cashier. True to the fast-food vibe, you’ll need to bus your own table though — you’re on your own for refills and utensils too. As for the food itself, I had the chicken tacos, which were pretty tasty. The chicken was shredded and though seemingly marinated, was a bit on the bland side. Dressing it up with salsa and such from the salsa bar helped to bring it up a notch. Accompanying my tacos I had a side of french fries — which I was surprised they offered(and my reason for getting them since I didn’t want rice/beans). They were just OK — mostly limp and clearly from a bag/freezer of some sort. Stick with the rice and/or beans. What I really enjoyed was the aguas frescas — the horchata and jaimaica. The horchata was on the thinner side, but sweet and full of cinnamon flavor — a great accompaniment to my meal. My partner had the jaimaica, which was bright and had just the right balance of sweet-tart. The young cashier told us, as she overheard us remarking how tasty they were, that they hand-make their aguas frescas — they don’t use the powders that most other places tend to use. I don’t know how true that is, but either way I certainly enjoyed them both. Los Dos Toritos is a great little stop if you’re in the area, craving some very basic/simple mexican food and really want it on the cheap.

Don’t get a «wet» burrito because the sauce they pour over it is watery and makes a runny mess. I had the worst bean-and-cheese burrito of my life here, a soggy, sloppy pile of goop. The chips given free were excellent, thin and crispy; the salsa good, the horchata adequate, and the service friendly. But that’s all. The prices were very high for a taco shop; the same items would be half the price in San Diego. But everything in Baker seems overpriced. The food does not make up for the high prices.

Good stop on your way to Vegas or on your way out if you want to get a jump on traffic. As always if you could’ve missed the restaurant because of the outside appearance(or lack there of) the food will be genuine and delicious! I ordered an al pastor breakfast burrito and it was delicious!

After a 2 day camping-hiking-offroading trip in the desert Los Dos Toritos was my first meal after returning to civilization. Pretty standard Mexican fare albeit slightly more expensive than i’m use to. My pastor burrito tasted a-ok, although, to be honest probably anything hot would’ve after one of my desert expeditions. The restaurant has a real mom-and-pop feel to it complete with kids playing outside. The lady running the place was nice and friendly.
