Sunrise Massage

This is one of the best massages that I have ever had! Izumi has a special gift with her amazing hands and magical hot stones that she uses. I love the soft music she plays, the cleanliness, and her warm towels that she places on your body. Most of all, I love her warm welcoming smile. A «most do» if you live on Bainbridge Island or if your visiting.

Went to Izumi after the muscles in my neck and back seized up due to too many hours sitting in front of a computer screen (me bad). She was able to take me in on short notice, and her deep tissue massage was nothing short of amazing and therapeutic, working out the kinks and knots so that I was able to function again. She is very professional and works out of a converted garage that has been remodeled to provide a very relaxing and peaceful environment. I highly recommend her.

This is my one and only place to get a massage. Izumi is incredibly gifted with her practice of massage. She is the only therapist I’ve ever had that seems to use the hot stones as they should be used. I hurt my back several years ago at work and was doing physical therapy but the things that really helped was having Izumi work on my lower back.
Her prices are very low and reasonable. I’ve become so spoiled I can’t stand to go anywhere else and pay a lot for an okay massage. When I have friends and family come into town I make an appointment for them and they leave awed and amazed!

I hesitate to even mention my favorite masseur on Unilocal but, Izumi Stephens of Sunrise Massage recently opened a three-​room studio outside her home to create a professional and quiet setting for her clients — I had to Unilocal.The honey-​toned colors and woodwork of the entryway, bathroom and message room are at once welcoming and serene.

Izumi worked out of her home for three years before building her studio. Izumi has practiced massage in both a Chiropractic office and Day spa in Bellevue. She graduated Ashmead Massage College. This intensive program demands over 400 hours of hands on practice before a license is granted. Izumi has continued her education by studying Zen Shiatsu at her native Japan.
