Susan, Wishing you Peace & Joy this weekend. I hyphenate my(two) last name. You had me in your appointment book under a different last name. I still stand by my original review and comments. It’s been nearly seven months, and unfortunately and sadly you’ve never addressed the dissatisfaction. Only a rather odd continuum defensive posture. Be well. Ellen

Aromatherapy is complementary. Nice. I selected the uplifting group, which included: orange, bergamot, sage, geranium and lavender. Yum! My nose was a little jealous of my skin that couldn’t truly appreciate all those good aromas. An hour and a half flew by. A heated pad on my back and feet kept me toasty. Susan said she had gone a little deeper than normal for a relaxation massage but I found it all relaxing and nodded off several times. And, she gave me good feedback on my rotator cuff and lat muscles, which mirrored what my swim coach has said about my uneven stroke — back to the gym to build up those lat muscles, and, hopefully, head off future injuries. Advaya Wellness is located at the back of Winslow Mall in the StillPoint Center with several other massage practitioners. Note there are quite a few stairs leading up to the front door. The best parking is along Winslow Way. Winslow Mall is in the center of town near wineries, coffee shops and restaurants.

I have been to many massage therapists on Bainbridge Island and I think Susan is not only the best on the island but one of the best massage therapists I have ever been too. Susan has an I depth knowledge of many different styles and techniques of massage as well as a thorough understanding of anatomy and physiology. Her studio on Bainbridge is lovely and relaxing as well as convienent. Susan’s gentle spirit true compassion and healing intuition combine to make any massage with her a rejuvenating and restorative experience. I feel lucky to have such a talented massage therapist available on tiny Bainbridge island!

After discovering I had scoliosis — what I thought was the source of my neck and back pain, I was fortunate to have found this talented professional who facilitated deep transformative work. I am excited to promote the work of Susan Loftus(LMT) whose techniques are to integrate bodywork with her background in psychology(MSW). Addressing stress in the context of bodywork is her natural gift and she’s really good. You’ll leave her having new methods to relax and different ways to approach lasting wellness!
