How is there not a review for this place? It’s been around for years. Maybe because it is really off the beaten path (in a neighborhood amongst the houses) and the locals are keeping it to themselves? I stopped in to get a sandwich plate. The chopped beef was tender, moist, smokey, and lean. There was a ton of it on my sandwich so be hungry. I also got a sausage link which comes from 9^th street meat market in Texas city. The link was also pretty good and not dried out. The sauce is not really sweet and that is a major plus for me. I got 2 sides. The potato salad was good, the baked beans were good. The sides are not home made (bushes baked beans) and I saw cans of corn and green beans. Not sure about the potato salad. Still I am fine with that as the taste was fine and the beans were piping hot. The have canned drinks to go with your meal. The folks running the place were super friendly and inside it was like I was in a friends kitchen with a stove and some refrigerators and a tv. There were a couple of tables outside on a patio. They only have ribs on the Saturday and I hear they sell out quickly. All in all I think the place is worth checking out if you are in the area. They have won a lot of awards for cleanliness and you can tell by how clean and neat it is inside. I plan on trying one of their Thursday special soon as well as the ribs. I’ll update my review then.
