I’ve been here twice before because I truly enjoy local coffee shops more than chain shops and I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. But as much as I wanted to love this place, it was just not up to par. They do have a huge drink menu selection but I think it’s just variations of the syrups added to the drinks. Speaking of which, both times I went, the drinks were way too sweet. I couldn’t enjoy it. Shame on me for trying one of the fancy named drinks on the wall. Should have just stuck with a regular latte. I do like the low key worn down look of the place though. Reminds me of the little coffee shops in BK or the LES that I used to frequent and love. I may want to try it again one day just because I want to try their regular latte not disguised up with syrups and review how the real espresso drinks taste. I also have to comment that I have read many of the reviews on this place and every review I read that was less favorable, the owner or manager or whoever would comment back with an «I don’t care what you think. Don’t come back then. We’re the best and you’re wrong» type of response. It just makes me chuckle and think how clueless and arrogant a mind can be.

Great coffee and a wonderful vibe as well. We went to see our friend Russell play there he is a cool and talented dude and made for a great night. Great Latte and something for everyone. We will be back to have more of the great goodies and to see our friend play again.

Came here today for the first time. My job is about 15 minutes from here and a friend of mine recommended to try it for a specialty coffee. So, I decided to adventure out in the snow for a little treat. The girl working gave me my time to review the menu. I decided to try the«Macadamia Brittle Latte» which was Caramel and Macadamia. Actually really tasty and I enjoyed it — its definitely on the sweet side though. I also got a slice of the pumpkin bread loaf. Loaf was good, but personally did not taste homemade or anything to die for. The Latte was not extremely hot either so I did have to reheat when I got back to work — they should maybe put a stopper on top to keep warm. But the main reason behind me only giving 3 starts was that my total for the Latte and slice of cake was $ 7.75. I go to another coffee house in Massapequa and usually pay $ 5.50-$ 6 for my specialty coffee/Latte and fresh baked muffin. I understand the«specialty coffee house» up charge but c’mon, isn’t that a little ridiculous? IF I did adventure back here, I’d probably only get the Latte or try something different.

Been here a boatload of times, love it. Chill coffee spot located right near carriage house in the heart of BaB village. They offer a variety of sweets to meet the needs of any sugar freak or vegan. Coffee nice and strong, I love just about every latte they offer… Went with the Reese’s pieces latte last visit with crispy gluten free treat. Perfect amount of sweetness for both and my latte had the perfect amount of kick to jumpstart my day. I’m a huge coffee lover and enjoy all kinds, they have a decent ranged menu… Also, they sell bagels and other prepared sandwiches in a small refrigerated area for those of you on the run! Post up in here with your latte and lap top and git r doneeeeeee. The art hanging on the wall is actually pretty legit and for sale! Prices tacked on them just ask one of the girls working to assist you. They’re super friendly. Place is clean and has a few seats up front and more seats in the back, couch like benches with coffee tables as well…

Whenever I’m in babylon village this is my number one spot! It has great atmosphere, staff is great to never had had a issue. They support the creativity within the community by having open mic and local bands playing. The selections of tea, coffe, Frappuccinos and smoothes are vast. I go there every weekend when I wanna escape from the stress work and write poetry & or draw.

Why don’t people from Babylon know good coffee — how could this place receive 4 stars? I ordered an almond lattee and it was the worst drink I’ve ever had. The drip coffee is ehhhh and the espresso is incredibly disgusting. Your 100% better of at Starbucks which also sucks. Go to any metropolis on earth for better coffee.

To respond to management’s comment: If you proudly run a business and a customer expresses how they may have had a bad experience, isn’t your thought, «I know we could give them a better experience if they were willing to try it»? You should be happy that people have negative experiences and still have an open mind and are willing to come back to hopefully have a really positive experience that turns their entire perspective around. Based on your comment, you’re insinuating that you don’t care about customers who are willing to return despite a bad experience. I’ve been to the coffee shop several times because I try to be an open-minded person who gives many chances before forming a final opinion.

The coffee is definitely a step up from your Starbucks, and the staff is friendly. Prices are a bit more costly then other coffee shops. I came in with a good friend, and I enjoyed the Banana Nut Cappuccino which was great, and my friend had the house blend of the day no sugar which he thought was so great he had to blog about it.

The café is spacious and clean. It’s a great study/work spot because the tables are a pretty decent size. The smaller sized tables are still great for 1 – 2 people to have enough space to do work. There are also larger tables and areas for bigger groups to study. There is an extension cord available toward the back of the café. This is a good spot for getting work done and a cozy place to come and chill with a group of friends. There’s a couch in the back too! I can personally attest for the house blend coffee, coconut cream, and the almond joy latte — all great!

This place is great for what it is. I tried it for the first time this morning and enjoyed the coffee, and the environment was friendly and, well, coffee shoppish. There aren’t enough of these on the Island, so I’m excited for its existence in such a great village.

Haven’t actually ate here. Commenting on the service. We came here twice, once during a hot summer night when my husband wanted to get a quick brownie to take home. The line was out the door and after 15 minutes of little to no movement, we left. No biggie. But tonight there was no excuse. We pulled up and I checked the time at the door, it was 810 and the place closes at 9. There were plenty of people eating and drinking at the tables but the light was off in the display section and a girl was mopping. My husband asked her whether it was ok if he ordered just a dessert. She said«we close in 20 minutes» and gave him a nasty look as if to say she would spit in his dessert if he ordered something. Rather than stand there and argue with this girl, we left. This is our last and final attempt at that place.

Start with the negative: I was recently charged a Dubai-esque $ 6 here for a medium iced coffee. When I expressed surprise, the surly man behind the counter sarcastically pointed to a sign hanging above the baked good case for the price for a «cold brew,» as opposed to the $ 3 «iced coffee» listed on their big board of drinks.(The listed price of said cold brew was $ 4.50, I believe, but apparently that was the price for a small! No other prices were listed, however.) Aside from the bait-and-switch aspect of this interaction… no coffee shop, not even Blue Bottle, charges $ 6 for an iced coffee! If you do, it had better be the best damn iced coffee I’ve ever had.(You can guess by the 3 stars: it wasn’t. Slightly above average would be the fairest descriptor.) On the positive side: I do like the hot coffee here, and the girl who usually serves in the morning is very nice. The space itself is lovely and large – if I weren’t normally stopping here on my way to work I would gladly sit for a while. The baked goods look tasty, but they have a surprising lack of breakfast material.(For me, at least; some of you may be eating cake for breakfast, but my doctor would kill me.) If you turn around while standing at the register, though, they have some yogurts in a minifridge. Nice coffee shop, just be careful when ordering. Judging by the reaction of the man at the counter, I wouldn’t be surprised if they try and pull other little games with the prices as well.

Support local business– Sal runs an awesome coffee shop. Atmosphere– large shop with plenty of seating(tables, couches, and a banquette-style table). Open-mike nights, tarot card readings, and live music. This is a cozy neighborhood hang out. Local art for sale decorates the walls. Food– the savory food is typically made at his other restaurant so it’s not the best. The smoothies are good and named after local eateries. But the sweets, those are great. They offer fresh-baked cookies, packaged healthier options(vegan and gluten-free included), decedent cakes, and gelato. Coffee– delicious. Cold brewed on a first come first served basis, and then the standards. Various dairy and non-dairy milk options, dozens of flavored syrups, and teas as well. I’ve never had a latte I didn’t like. The baristas get a good foam even with almond milk. Can’t wait for the Bay Shore Bean to open!

I love this coffee shop and I will drive a half hour out of my way to go to it! The drinks are all great and I have yet to have one I don’t like. My absolute favorite is the Almond Joy Latte. If you like Almond Joy candy bars, you will love it! Also all the desserts that they have a great! I love the coffee cake that they have and I have had their red velvet cake in the past which was amazing! The prices are reasonable for what you are getting. I also love the ambiance. It is a great place to go and read or get some work done, but it is also a great place to grab a coffee with a friend and shoot the breeze.

Huge selection of baked goods, and a few flavors of gelato for $ 2.50 a scoop if remember correctly, but the scoops seemed small. Nice drink selection and you can get hot lattes iced. They also had some smoothies. Service wasn’t bad, they were pretty fast for being only 2 girls behind the counter, and seemed like in the whole place. Decent amount of tables but kind of on top of each other. I got the peanut butter cup latte iced. Was pretty good but needed to be a little more sweet. We also shared mint chocolate gelato, that was pretty good as well. I would come here again. Great spot for dessert and coffee.

The Babylon Bean has excellent taste. And I don’t just mean the food and drink! They have an eye for decorations and a good ear for music! Whether I’m hear catching up with a friend over a good cup of coffee or working on a paper, this spot is without a doubt one of my favorites in Babylon. Although I love my starbucks, there’s nothing quite like a traditional coffee shop. I’d much prefer the mismatched drinkware or the piping hot herbal teas paired with a freshly homemade pastry. Now that’s what I’m talking about. The Babylon Bean has ample parking in the back and on the street so you won’t have to worry about nabbing a spot. And inside, they have small tables or large couches to choose from. It has a cozy yet funky kinda vibe with the unique artwork hanging up on the walls. Best part is… they’re local artists which is very cool. As for their drinks, how can you go wrong? I’ve had their chai latte, «almond joy» latte, hot chocolate, regular coffee… and it was all excellent. As well as, last time my friend and I came we shared their chocolate coffee crumb cake which was heavenly.(I think we managed to get every single crumb!) Looking forward to attending one of their open mic nights! Rock on Babylon Bean! This adorable spot is a must-try.
