Calzones are super good and always ready quickly. Really good poppers and fried mushrooms. Wish they delivered too

I just ordered food here the other night and was quite dissapointed. First of all… it’s not an Italian or Greek restaurant… don’t be fooled. I think they owners are Syrian. When I walked in the guy at the counter was on the phone having a personal conversation… talking arabic. He basically ignored me for about 4 mins until he finished his conversation. Unfortunatley I placed a call in order or I would have walked out. When he finally hangs up he doesn’t say hello or anything… so I tell him I called in an order. I get the food and pay for it and he never says thank you or have a good night or anything. That alone is reason enough for me to never go back in this place. So I take the food home and I couldn’t even distiguish what was on my pizza. It was all chopped up so small I didn’t see anything recognizable. The pizza was bland and flavorless. So between the rude service and bland food I won’t be back again.

Very good calzones, never overcooked or burnt. The fries and cheese ravioli are pretty good too. I’d recommend going inside to order, trying to order over the phone can cause some lost in translation issues.

I was in Devon on business and saw the pizzeria as I was driving by, so I decided to stop by and get a pizza. I ordered a Super Veggie which comes with mozzarella and cheddar. I asked for cheddar only but was told they couldn’t do that because it was premixed. Ummm ok… I should have just said thanks and left, but I went ahead with the the order. The pizza dough came out of a Coca-Cola frig. Already in a pan and already sauced. Didn’t take long to get pizza. The pizza didn’t smell great or enticing as one would expect from a freshly baked pizza. Unfortunately, it didn’t taste great either. I would say it was OK at best. The crust was thick(not deep dish thick, but not hand tossed thin either). The crust was also soft and kind of soggy, I like thin crust. The people were nice, price was good, but unfortunately I would not go to again. I also can’t really recommend it for pizza. They also have subs and pasta dishes on the menu, but I didn’t try them so I can only review their pizza.

I went here for a quick greek salad — which are refrigerated because they were made either the night before or that morning(hopefully) and I discovered a piece of hair(not mine) stuck to a piece of lettuce. I tossed everything and walked out of there disgusted. Not to mention they had no AC in a heatwave. Dunkin’s next door is a better option.

Seriously solid subs and wraps as well as some decent greek pizza. Their chicken for wraps is amazing– like marinated for days deliciously amazing.

I eat there about 5 – 10 times a year during autocross events at Devens. They do an awesome job of getting everyone served in record time.

Service is fast and the food is affordable. The only regret is that the scallops should really be cheaper. They stuff the subs and everything that we’ve tried(besides the scallops) are great.

Given the limited options of decent pizza in Ayer, Verona’s is pretty darn good. The pizza is thin crust and generally quite good. Although we’ve had to stop ordering our favorite pepperoni/onions/green peppers combo because of inconsistent results. At times they make this combo pizza superbly, but at other times it tastes«funky» and it is quite soggy. We generally stick to plain cheese or pepperoni with good results. Although they make a host of other dishes ranging from seafood to pasta, we’ve only ordered the pizza save the occassional greek salad which are ok. The staff are quite friendly and the restaurant is generally clean. The only reason why I didn’t give 4 stars is the lack of consistency in more«complicated» pizzas.

Pizza was VERY greasy and the crust stale at best. Sauce was far too oily and had a plethora of pizza skins(a HUGE nono for real pizza). Subs were small and underwhelming at best. Prices are fair but that is more or less the only positive star they get.

In the heart of Central MA, a pizza place run by a very friendly Syrian family! Talk about cultural diversity! I like the food here, especially the pizza. No frills, no thrills, just basic thin crust pizza. The Med-themed items are pretty good, and a friend swears by the manicotti. The hot and cold subs are reasonably priced and are good for lunch. Every so often there is a tray of baklava on the counter, and I liked what I’ve had — I’m no expert on whether it’s the best ever or whatever.

Ick! I wish we hadn’t wasted our money here. The place smelled really funky, which I should have taken as my first clue that it wasn’t going to be the best experience. My roast beef sub was on stale bread, the meat had that gross taste roast beef gets when it’s a little too old, and I had to send it back to get the cheese, lettuce, and black olives they forgot to put on it. My husband’s steak and cheese sub was not good. It’s hard to mess up steak and cheese yet somehow they did it. The prices were reasonable, the service was friendly. But the food was below average.

I do like this place and the food is great. Its your typical home town pizza joint. They have great calzones and offer club sandwiches, which is nice for a change. Salads and sides are good too.

I’m only giving this four stars because I’ve never had anything else but the buffalo fingers. These are the best in the area! They are sauceless and crispy and spicy and oh so amazing. A little pricey at over 9 bucks for a large order but I get them on a salad and its very much worth it once in a while with plenly of bleu cheese and pita for sopping.

This place is the closest restaurant to the airstrip at Devens where a bunch of car clubs hold autocross events, so I end up going here almost every time I’m there. It’s your basic small town medium-quality pizza + subs place. I usually get a steak bomb, which is tasty in the way you’d expect a small town medium-quality steak sub to be. They’ll put mayonnaise on it if you’re not careful, which is absolutely foul if you think about it – I thought it was tasty halfway though until I noticed it was mayo. With the cheese and steak already on there it makes me feel sick just thinking about it. So either try hard not to think about it or be explicit that mayonnaise has no place on a steak sub.
