This was a fun activity for my family and I to do while home for Christmas. My mom really wanted us to do this as a family and it was the fun experience she had hoped for. She isn’t particularly tech savvy, but said that the online booking was really easy and the price was reasonable. We had one person in our party cancel and they offered to give a credit for a future party which was unexpected and appreciated. When we arrived the room was already set up with everything that we would need. Our canvas was set up on an easel at each spot with a pencil outline drawn to help us get started. The necessary paints were already set out on a plate in front of the canvas. We also had brushes, cups of water, and napkins. If I could give a small suggestion for future groups it would be to spread people out a bit more. There was a lot of extra space in the room, but we were crammed in tight. It was a little awkward trying to get past people in such a tight space. It wasn’t anything that ruins the fun, but a little more space might enhance the experience. Participants are allowed to bring food and drink to enjoy during the painting time. The shop has everything you need for this including paper plates, paper napkins, corkscrews, wine chillers, and cups. Most people just squeezed their food in between the easels to keep it nearby since the table was across the room from the easels. Our instructor was really fun and did a good job of making a room of random people feel like one big party. The music was playing and the mood was jovial. She did move a little fast on the painting instructions for those of us that were first timers. Luckily there were several breaks to catch up. I liked that there were drying stations so that we weren’t leaving with wet art. I’d definitely recommend this to groups looking for a fun activity. Bonus: I now have a cool painting for my garage.

A few friends went to celebrate a friend’s bachlorette at Painting with a Twist last Monday. We arrived a minute or two late, but they hadn’t started yet, and it wasn’t a big deal. They have a table set up where you can drop off your drinks and snacks. We did that, grabbed aprons, and got ready to paint! Our instructor Kristen had a great energy and was super enthusiastic throughout the entire class. She really added to the experience! We painted a «Summer Wishes» scene, and even though her back was to us, we could still see her painting on the screen. She gave very clear explicit instructions and anticipated any sort of mistakes us amateur painters might have made. She was really encouraging as well! I really liked the way my painting turned out and the process was nothing but fun! If you haven’t tried this out yet, you definitely should because it is a great night out!

So I went there on Saturday February 1, 2015 just before the big snow storm and Super bowl. We painted a picture of central park for 3 hours. There are tables with small easels already set up and our seats were right there. We were a couple minutes late but it was no issue. They have a table for you to open wine with glasses and a table with plates and napkins if you bring snacks. I brought both wine and snacks. Painting was a lot of fun and overhearing everyone else’s conversation is a kind of open voyeurism on all the other dates going on there. That yields cross comments and its was a friendly enthusiastic atmosphere as we all tried to bring out our«inner Picasso». But its not serious art its all about having fun. The leader is painting and has a video screen up to. And there is a finished example also. All it all it was quite fun. I tiny bit pricy at $ 45 per person but there is nothing like this to compare. I would think a fairer price would be like $ 30 but I can’t tell. They supply the canvas, location, teacher, paints, brushes and clean up. So I am not really intending to quibble. Sessions that are 2 hours are less expensive. Now I used a gift certificate as I had reserved an earlier session but the person I was going to paint with got sick and then sent me a gift certificate vs keeping my money despite the fact that I was outside the 1 day in advance cancel policy. That policy alone is great business sense by these folks and is well worth the extra bucks. The location is in a fun spot in Avon among small businesses near 611 and between 611 and 83. Its near the Strip restaurant which is a great steak house.. You have to figure out where its at as there is no sign on Detroit Road but once you know its easy to find. Its was like 50% single women and 50% couples. So really its a place to try to meet women if you are a guy which is unusual but certainly I think is likely true. Plus the women are bringing their own wine and you bring yours wine or liquor or whatever. There are a couple breaks in the action one or two to use hair dryers to dry the paintings. This gets them ready to paint over top of what you already painted. They also had a mustache painting contest and that was funny. They took pictures for their Facebook page so check that out. They are going to be doing a 3 or 4 hour large format Monet Lily Pads soon. That is really cool.

Sooooo much fun. Totally unexpected. Diana was the best and made sure everyone had fun. The paintings turned out awesome and everyone was happy with the experience. Her DJ’ing skills are also valuable!

This place is SO much fun! We were a little disappointed that since it was our«open party» one of the perks was supposed to be that we would have a table sitting all together and that did not happen, but it still ended up fine and everyone had a great time. The instructors are very friendly and personal. We had Andrew Jarrell and Diana Goll and they were a blast! I definitely recommend it. It would be awesome date night too!

SO much fun! I took my mom here for Mother’s Day and we had a fantastic day together! It was fun to do something different and spending time together, instead of just buying her a present. I highly recommend to others! :)

A highly recommend if you are looking for a great night out! Painting With A Twist is a great, refreshing twist of entertainment. What a really unique idea. We had the best time, singing, laughing and painting. The artists we’re outstanding. They walked us through the painting and they turned out really great… and I’m not artistic. We were all amazed! The atmosphere is great! I’ve been telling all of my friends about it. We’re planning another one and I can’t wait! Thank you Painting With A Twist… we think you’re GREAT!
