Been here a couple times and have had a pleasant experience up until our recent visit. Came here around 5pm on that day, and it wasn’t too busy. My mother and I grabbed a high top patio table and ordered a glass of wine and cheese and meat plate at the bar. Didn’t get our glass of wine until 20 minutes later. Asked our server Molly about the cheese plate, and she said it’d be coming out shortly. After 45 minutes, our cheese and meat plate never arrived so we cancelled the order. I would’ve understood the long wait had it been overly busy, but it wasn’t. A little disappointed in the service :(

A cozy place with an oceanfront patio. We ordered the small cheese & meat plate which was enough for two people. I am not a big fan of cheese and nuts, but everything on this plate was very good including the pickled artichokes and olives. My friend said that the wine was so-so. If I come to Avila Beach again, I’ll stop by here.

I stopped at this establishment while visiting this beach with a friend. They have a wonderful outside seating area with beach views. To drink we had delicious sangrias(both red and white). The staff are friendly, the bar itself was clean and cozy. They have tvs to keep you up to date on the game if needed. I will definitely stop back here next time I’m in town!

This is a favorite of my local family. The whole family hangs out her emulations times a year. Our usual server is fun, relaxed, and always adds to our experience. The view is amazing, and the patio Is great! Wish they had more local wines and beers. They do not allow babies or children inside which is bizzaro. But the place is wonderful for adults looking for a drink right off the beach!

So the ambiance was probably the star of this place, but everything on the menu was also tasty. I loved the sangria,(white or red is available) and the waiter was smart and friendly. This is a great spot to grab a snack and then have a good time on the beach, or vice-versa. The front is made for people watching, and there are some couches at the front, which makes it an especially comfy experience.

Not the ideal place if you like wine and want to have good experience. First I came during«happy» hour, they have wine by the glass and I asked how much do you pour for that $ 11 a glass of wine that cost $ 16/bottle down the street. The server Nicole(nice young girl) said the glass is 8 oz, well I took a picture because I have been in the wine industry for 8 years and she poured me around 2.5−3 oz of Pinot Noir(not very impressive Mark West out of aluminum keg, and I asked her«is that 8 oz» she got a bit confused and then said yes. I paid for the glass and sat upfront. While I was there I overheard a few conversations about their beers being ok — but double priced, food so-so etc. Avila Beach offers 8 – 10 different wine tasting rooms, so grab a map if you up for legit wine tasting, but if you want just to try different wines from all over the California(from $ 2 chuck to $ 20 — being sold at $ 18 – 40) «Pier Front Wine & Brew» is ok, it’s sadly not worth your time if you a wine connoisseur like me. Here are the pictures, look at the«8 oz.» glass — no more words just a little smile :)

What a comfortable venue. Cozy, comfortable seating, soft lighting. Decent size list of beer, wine & sparkling wine. Service was pleasant. Ran into friends here. A great place to relax & chill for one of these many warm evenings we’ve been enjoying this year. Great spot for a date! I’ll be back.

Our family comes to Avila beach at least once a year. The wifey and I always find some time to breakaway from the kids and this has been our go-to spot for a nice cheese platter and a few drinks. Great view, friendly service. They only have a few drafts available, but the bottle list is decent. This place wins on atmosphere and a kick back time.

Good atmosphere, dog friendly patio. I had the white sangria and it was fantastic. Great place to hang out while waiting for the Farmers Market to start on Fridays.

Great beachfront views from patio. Interior is cozy with sofas, and chairs. Had the Me So Honey ale and artichoke dip which I enjoyed. They also have wine tastings.

This place is expensive considering the poor service. I really wanted to like it here because it has such a great location, but nothing impressed about this place.

I only had a beer, but the selection was good, location can’t be beat and it had the relaxing and open vibe that you would how to find didn’t by the beach. Highly recommend for drinks and apps.

I spent a weekend here with my friends from who were visiting from Colorado and we stumbled on this spot. We scored the couch area with a view before the crowds came on a Saturday. We shared a small cheese plate which hit the spot just right, and some white wine. This place has a great vibe and great service. I’ll definitely be back with the hubby to try the happy hour during the week!

Loved, loved, loved this spot! Pier Front caught my eye because it has one of those indoor meets outdoor vibes, with a beautiful glass garage door that they leave open as the main door. Perfect since Avila Beach has such a charming boardwalk, so you don’t really want to leave it to go inside. There are lots of tables on the patio, and inside there’s three separate seating areas with couches and accent chairs near the front, and more tables in the back. We grabbed a couch and since it was«chilly»(60 degrees in Feb, oh my!), a blanket from the basket. They only had three beers on draught but they were good ones– Firestone 805, an orange wheat from Hangar 24, and St. Archer White. Lots more by the bottle. They had plenty of wine offerings, with a few wines on tap, but we were in more of a beer mood. They have various games scattered around, inviting you to make yourself comfortable and stay awhile. We would have, but we had to catch a movie at the drive-in! Friendly staff, and non-intrusive. Thumbs up!

We stumbled across Pier Front on our first afternoon in Avila Beach. The good news is that we’ll be able to visit several more times while on vacation. This is a great spot to enjoy a local brew or glass of wine from the region. The wine selection is fairly limited but I was able to find several I enjoyed. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful. Our server made some great recommendations for wineries to visit in the Pasa Robles area. The outdoor seating area has a great view of the downtown and ocean. It is a relaxed and comfortable to people watch. Check it out!

Best spot in Avila Beach for cold beer, great local wines, beautiful décor and awesome views. I could stay all day. Super friendly atmosphere and yummy bites. Plus locals get a discount on Mondays! A new favorite!
