Party City

My second time shopping here. First time I got everything I needed with no problem. Second time halloween day the place obviously was very very crowded. But to my surprise they had 6 registers going and staff helping all over the store. I got what I needed and was in and out of there in 10 – 15 minutes. Very impressive.

This Party City is huge and is well-​stocked. We found pretty much everything we needed for a costume party. The only thing that sucks is that the line can take a long time even when there are only three people in line. If the person in front of you has 60 items to be scanned, then expect a long wait.
Great place to find decorations for any type of party. They organize everything by theme/​character or color so it’s pretty easy to browse. They also have fancier disposable plates, cups, and food picks if you’re looking to throw a classier shindig.
It’s located in the Aventura Town Center in the same complex as the Publix, Chipotle, Pei Wei, etc.

Holy crap! I have never been treated so poorly by an employee in my many years of shopping. I grabbed my birthday cards and got in line to check out. I stood right where the sign said, «Line starts here» and waited for my turn at the register. All of the clerks were busy filling balloons for customers so the wait was a bit long, but that’s life. No big deal. I was next in line, so as soon as the customer left the register, I waited for the cashier to call on me. She had turned her back for a moment to do something for another employee. In the meantime, a woman walked into the store, spotted the opened register and walked through the opposite side of the line and stood at her register. I quickly walked up to the register and told the woman the line started over there (pointing to the sign) and that I was next. The employee comes back to the register and rudely tells me that I am wrong and that the woman was correct. She points to the sign and tells me the line starts there and that I am wrong. I explained that I just came from there and I was next in line, and it was if I was talking French. She continued with her nasty, nasty attitude telling me that I am wrong and that the line starts there (again points to the sign that I was waiting at). It was so ridiculous. My older son was with me and couldn’t believe we were actually having this debate. He couldn’t believe how rude and WRONG she was. I would never step foot in that place again. Every other Party City location I have ever been to has had friendly and helpful employees. Since Ms. Lovely did not have her name printed on the receipt, I can only out her by her TRN: 24 and Register number :4
I seriously hope management cares enough to read this and then considers retraining this woman. With her current attitude, she should not be working with customers.
