I had a Groupon which I purchased since Cushy Cakes was right by my home. I ordered a dozen red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting for my friends baby shower and they were a big hit. The mother and father to be loved them so much they asked where I got them. Everyone raved about how moist and flavorful they were and nothing like regular store bought cupcakes. I snagged one extra to take home and I am not a big cake fan!
So awhile after I wanted to purchase some more… sent out emails and finally searched her down to find out she wasn’t producing until next year since she never responded. I found this out on facebook or Twitter. Even though I didn’t get a response I still will give her 5 stars because her cupcakes were really good!

The best! Ordered chocolate with fondant cutouts, and vanilla and bananarama. The cupcakes were moist, tasty and just adorable. There were not even crumbs left after my sons 1st Birthday party, and plenty of people asked who I used.
Already trying to find an excuse to order more!
Also good customer service and very friendly!!!

I heard of Cushy Cakes via Groupon and made sure I used my groupon as soon as I could. I love the fact that this is a simple bakery but with a great variety of flavors.
The cupcakes are light and the flavors are not too overpowering. I definitely recommend the banana cupcake because they even put a little banana candy on top.

AHHHHHH I wish you guys had a store oh so sad because there are no cupcake stores in Aventura. All of them are down South so when I saw your address I got super duper excited. We drove looking around for you, and then decided to call. They only delivery, or you can place a pick-​up order. Problem being I only want one or two when I want a cupcake. Not a dozen ! I did them in goupon it was $ 9 for ½ dozen delivered they were actually really good. i dd the vanilla, and dulce de leche. Maybe oneday you guys will open a store :)

The cupcakes were tasty and a crowd-​pleaser, especially the vegan caramel cupcake. It was great to have a vegan option so all of my friends could partake in the cupcake goodness — an option that actually tasted good. No offense to any vegan bakers out there, but I’ve found it difficult to find a vegan baked good that tasted halfway decent, and the texture and taste was very similar to the traditional egg-​and-​butter variety. Nice!
I took off a star because it was a little frustrating to pick up the cupcakes. As the previous reviewer noted, the business’ address is actually a residential condo building. I was looking for a storefront, so I was mighty confused. Also, I didn’t realize that the pickup time was firm, I got there about a half-​hour early and the owner wasn’t actually home, so I waited in her lobby for a while. Next time I’ll spring for the delivery!

Cushy cakes cupcakes are great!
First of all they are organic and fresh. They are baked fresh the morning before they are delivered to you. If you live in Aventura, she’ll deliver for free in a very timely manner, if not for a delivery fee she’ll deliver anywhere else.
Melissa is super nice and she is very easy to communicate with, and she’ll also help you out if you want to try her different flavors. She accomodates to you.
If you are reading this and was thinking twice about ordering from them, don’t think about it anymore just call or go online and ORDER
they are DELICIOUS!

The cupcakes are out of this world. I had purchased a Groupon for a dozen cupcakes and Melissa did not disappoint! I ordered chocolate cupcakes with vanilla frosting. They were moist, but so moist that they fell apart when you bit into them. The icing was delicious, not the super-​sweet junk that you get at the grocery store. Very rich and creamy. Just as a note, if you go to pick up your cupcakes, the address is for a condo building! It was a little confusing at first, but the person at the desk in her building knew exactly who she was. Melissa came right down and handed over those delicious cupcakes.

Café con Leche, Bananarama, Dreamy Chocolate… NO! They are not some overpriced drinks at a SOBE bar; rather, they are the flavors of the best darn Cupcakes on the East Coast! I am a big fan of the miniature mouth happiness explosions that are cupcakes… Cushy Cakes takes the cake. They are gluten free and organic, so you’re helping your body, environment and your soul. Most importantly, they are beautifully decorated too.
So, forget your run of the mill Flan or Crème Brule and order a Cushy Cake. I guarantee you’ll be just as satisfied as I was!
