Just went there. Shocked. Small and dirty. Very very bad. Floors dirty. Cramped and they do not have proper equipment. The manicure tools looked unsanitized and dirty. They sat me at a tiny table cramped against a hanging wig. Floor was stained and dirty. They used regular soap instead of hand crime at the end of the manicure. I walked out feeling sick to my stomach!!! I am amazed Simon and Aventua mall would allow a place like this to exist. Call the Board of HeAlth and do it quickly!!!

Went in needing a late-in-the-day mani/pedi and wanted to take advantage of mall hours. Quickly accomodated but rather than being led over or greeted by the aesthetician was just pointed over to one of the seats. Manicure was fine, though manicurist seemed more concerned with her phone. Led over to pedicure station, which did not inspire much cleanliness. Did not see any sanitizing stations, and they seemed to work with whatever tools they had laying around. Suffice it to say I got up the next day with an infected hangnail on my big toe. Staff seemed minimally courteous. For the same price I should have waited and gone to a boutique nail salon the next day. No intention of ever going back.

I was on a short trip Miami to from NY and in desperate need of a mani/pedi. I walked into Coco’s Day Spa & Salon in Aventura mall and was greeted and introduced to my nail tech right away. So far so good… However, the actual manicure was not. The nail tech was not polite at all, and i found the place to be rather unsanitary. The paper towel my hands were resting had color on it, etc. Also, I did not say anything(as I probably should have) at the extremely thick layer of nail polish she was putting on. By the time I got to the pedicure, my manicure had totally bubbled and looked awful. Granted I picked a weird color, but this should NOT happen. I asked to switch the color on the manicure and pedicure and she agreed, which is why this place actually gets 2 stars(or more like 1 ½) after telling me to hurry and pick one. My mani/pedi was over and I was told to sit in the chair and wait for it to dry. I did that and tried to go and pay put my shoes on and take out cash, I smudged a nail and did not want to be bothered getting it fixed. A day later it had started cracking anyways and touching one of my cuticles was painful. Basically I found the entire experience off-putting and not pleasant and relaxing, as I would expect a $ 53 mani/pedi at a spa to be.

I initially really enjoyed my visit to Cocos they took me back right away and my manicure came out great and I had a pleasant conversation with the manicurist. After we went to get my eyebrows and lip waxed and she kept putting wax back on areas and when we were done I was very red and had very bad irritation worse than I have ever had being waxed. During my pedicure which again started wonderful the woman started digging into my toe nail bed even when I told her it hurt she kept going there saying that it had to be done. I have never had such a painful pedicure when I got home my husband gave me a foot rub and when he touched my big toe it hurt so bad(I was wearing sandals and did not have any pressure on my toe so I hadn’t noticed). I won’t go back after this visit.

Honestly was skeptical because of the reviews here to get a hair cut at this place, but it was great! Isaac was fast and did a really great job, exactly what I wanted… AND I’M PICKY! I’d go back. The only reason it didn’t get 5 stars is because of the price. Otherwise, I’m a fan & I would recommend it!

I wish there were a zero star rating. Hairdresser tried to kiss me when i walked back to the bathrooms(now granted this was in 2004 and he was a heavy guy from Israel) I actually went back after he left but such a huge turn over of hair dressers and workers I found another salon altogether when I’m in Miami.(oh and overpriced, won’t do organic products and nail techs are kinda rude)

I went in for a pedicure and gel manicure not knowing you needed an appointment. They had an opening and got me in right away. They spent a lot of time making sure my nails were in good shape. They provides good customer service and were very patient with me.

this place doesn’t even deserve not a one half star, i went with my friend to get a haircut and the israeli dresser treating him like crap, the israeli hair dresser suck’s, he doesn’t know how to use a hair mashine and the main thing about this place is the brazilian girl, she is so rude, watch out with this brazilian girl, she treat my friend horrible, she almost close the salon to call the cops, so please people don’t go there, save your money, supercut’s it’s much much better…

This review is based solely on the nail salon portion of Coco’s. I’ve been coming here since I was a teenager and I’m now in my late 20’s. I don’t even live in Miami anymore but whenever I’m visiting family, I make it a POINT to come get a mani/pedi at Coco’s. Sure, they need to reorganize their nail display/selection and you definitely don’t come for the hand/foot massage but it is the best manicure/pedicure I’ve ever gotten and another salon has yet to prove me wrong. They actually CUT your cuticles and in depth, not like most nail salons who pretend and are just rushing you. They have a blade for your feet if needed(and don’t charge you extra for it). Sure it’s a little on the expensive side, $ 50 but well worth it, especially if you only come a few times a year like I do when in town. The ladies here have actually watched me grow up — I actually don’t know any of their names but they all are fabulous at what they do and they always say wow look at you, you’re getting so old! Nice to be remembered even though I’m only here twice a year. NY nail salons could learn a thing or 99 from coco’s and what a worthwhile manicure looks like.

I have been going there for a few yrs now. Miki always does a decent job. And they try to accommodate short– notice appointments. Regarding other people’s comments of rudeness: one person or single bad experience does not necessarily spoil the entire quality of all business.

My experience was terrible, my husband gives me a massage and weight that the place was good, my surprise was terrible, the massage room was ugly, had not Ingun rich smell, the masseuse left his cell phone on and rang in the middle secion, the noise did not allow me to relax ever was such a torture, sound of doors, hitting a wall, bath water, voices etc etc, at the end the masseuse asked how I feel and my answer was wrong, to which she replied that good day or a glass of water at the end of the massage I got when I pay you ask me, you like massage? to what I had to answer, NO, I wonder why and tolefono called by the owner, the only answer was: please tell me your phone number and call you. I think if you offer a service like this should be the right place, I wanted to run 15 minutes, I have my neck in pain. If you want I can give you some tips to have a consistent environment. Not if I’m really bad at Spa’s used much higher level, but not recommend it to anyone.

After spending over $ 300 for highlights and a cut. My hair was brassy and orange color. Because the stylist doesn’t know to use bleach and let it lift the color out before washing you. The most horrible experience I’ve ever encountered in a salon. That’s why I stay clear of this place.

Went in to get my bangs trimmed and the guy there talked me into getting $ 150 highlights. I’d never gone that way before, and figured what the hell, maybe it’ll spruce me up this winter. WRONG. He worked VERY quickly and sloppily, and didn’t even get my roots, so it looks like I have about a months grow out. Also the gaggle of Israeli men there will ogle and speak Hebrew and laugh amongst themselves. Also, within 2 minutes of being seated, my hairdresser asked very personal questions — married? boyfriend? last relationship? Long story short, I look like trailer trash now and it cost me $ 150 to get there. Go at your own risk.

WOW. I thought I reviewed this place but I guess not. I am doing this as a service to my fellow neighbors here in the Aventura/Hallandale/NMB ‘hood. My hairdresser was rude, didn’t speak much english and didn’t understand much english at all. He didn’t divulge the fact that he couldn’t understand what I was saying until midway through the hair cut. I guess he moved here from Israel a year ago, but come one, if you can’t understand basic things like«I want a style I can wear straight haired», then you should not be employed at a salon that charges $ 80 for haircuts. Since then I have purchased my own sheers, and have been giving myself trims successfully. I have been saving a lot of cash and not worrying about what some doofus will do to my hair next.

I forgot why I hadn’t returned in a year & was quickly reminded! 3 words… Rude, Rude, Rude While sitting w/our feet soaking a client was upset that we were there & told our nail lady she thought she was next. Our tech said«well they were very late(pointing to us & standing in front of us as if we didn’t speak english) & just showed up 10 minutes late»…I quickly pointed out its only 8 minutes past & we walked in no later than 3 minutes ago… she brushed me off never looking at me & said«well they were 7 minutes late or whatever» as if put off we were paying her for our pedicures! I corrected her & said no more than 5 mintues thank you. Then as she was doing my mothers toes she tells my mom she can’t talk while doing her job just b/c my mom was being friendly & trying to chat. She did a rush half ass horrible job & quickly retreated to her other waiting walk in clients. Whatever happened to thing called customer service! The only saving grace was the nice redhead doing my toes who actually had a brain & was very pleasant & friendly & did a good job… too bad she can’t save this place. Go to Envogue Salon & Spa down the street instead.

Dear Annoying Women Being Rude and do not Care about Customer Service, I am very pissed that you butchered my otherwise lovely piggies that just wanted a little pampering. I have never seen such close quarters for a pedi area. You seem to have forgotten some basic sanitary rules when it comes to your equipment/their use. Your behavior amongst each other and to customers was very unprofessional. How on earth are you guys this busy. I wonder if everyone else was also a 1st time client? Or perhaps they enjoy paying to be treated like shit-bc I really didn’t think I had entered a S&M Club. To the lady who gave me a manicure(dont know why I continued after the toes with other lady): Thanks for the half assed job my left index finger was unevenly filed(I would have felt better letting my 5 yr old nephew giving a go at them) you were more concerned about getting your next client in while you eyeballed everything else in the room INSTEAD of my hands. YOUGUYSGET ½ STAR just BC I AMNICE.
