I finally hunted these guys down. I’ve never had frozen custard before, but man am I glad I never gave up on these guys. I ordered the naked because I didn’t want to pay extra for toppings and such if I wasn’t going to like it. They even served me Choc and van in the same cup. Glad I did that. The vanilla was way too sweet for me. The chocolate was perfect! Next time I’m getting a Himalayan!!!(This was an old experience from their time in San Diego, CA. I await for their return.)

I love this stuff. I picked up a pint at Quickie Pickie(Chocolate) and then when I saw it again at Royal Blue Grocery, I got another(Roasted Strawberry). Both were delicious! Looks like they do catering, so hopefully I can find them and get some straight from the truck. Keep it up Yeti masters!

YETIISAMAZING! Best forzen custard I have ever had. There’s nothing I love more than a family owned and operated business with great customer service and killer product. If you are thinking about trying yeti you won’t be disappointed.

Oh my God, Yeti. This ice cream is outstanding. If you can manage to be in the same area this summer as Yeti, you need to try it out. They manage to produce a level of creaminess that can only come from a near-illegal amount of delicious ingredients. The price is set just right for what you get, which is pure frozen custard decadence.

I got my first delicious taste of Yeti Frozen Custard at Trailer Food Tuesday last year and it was love at first lick. I’m generally more of an ice cream sandwich kind of girl, but Yeti could definitely make me a convert. Every single Trailer Food Tuesday I’ve attended since discovering this delectable frozen custard gem, I’ve made sure to drop by their trailer for dessert. I would have given this place 5 stars if it weren’t for the fact that I never see any trailer locations(yeti spottings) listed on their website. How dare you, Yeti! You can’t give me a taste of heaven and then disappear into the wilderness with no trace. Tease!

I was on South Lamar today looking for either an ice cream and/or frozen yogurt place, and this awesome frozen custard place popped up instead! It turns out that the Yeti truck was right down the street from where I was at – and on S 1st. I ordered the chocolate w/strawberry sauce and it was amazing. Combined with a $ 2 off Unilocal coupon for checking in, this was the best 3 $ that I spent all day!

Had the naked Yeti at trailer food Tuesday. The custard was rich and creamy but didn’t really stand out to me at all in a sea of frozen dairy products available. Decent.

I want to start by saying this was good and I could definitely taste quality. Unfortunately, this is not frozen custard. Maybe this is what they call frozen custard in California — but would get you laughed right out of Wisconsin. Just throwing in some more eggs does not get you a midwestern frozen custard — you MUST have the ridiculously creamy smoothness. If you didn’t grow up on frozen custard(we didn’t even have ice cream places) then I would recommend. If you want real frozen custard I’d try someplace else… maybe one from the homeland that has butter burgers.

What is there not to like about Yeti? I found Yeti during a Saturday edition of the Tuesday Night Food Truck event at the Long Center. I was intrigued and had to try. Thanks to my recent Windows Unilocal Mobile App update I was able to check in and received a 50% off coupon! Which was the perfect activity to keep me busy while waiting in the very long line. Their Frozen Custard was worth every moment in line. Plus, the line helped you ponder just how you wanted your treat, naked, dizzy, floating, etc. They had two flavors bourbon vanilla or chocolate. I chose to go for the Dizzy with two mixes — roasted pecan and cherries. They blend the toppings into the custard just like Dairy Queen does with it’s blizzards. They only had one size cup for the dizzy which shocked me, as it was a VERY large cup. I could have gone for half the size. I think that is the only negative thing I can say. The Frozen custard was exactly as others have described velvety, lightly creamy, deliciously cold and tasty, packed fully of yummy flavor. I think that much of the flavor is because Frozen Custard is lower in fat and sugar than most ice creams, and they make it from organic ingredients. I have already pinned the Yeti website to my favorites so I can keep an eye on the location of the truck, as I will definitely be wanting to check out the other flavors they mention on their website.

I’ve been to Lick, Sandy’s, Coolhaus… all the Austin staples, but this is my favorite. The custard here isn’t as rich as ice cream, but it’s still got a lot of flavor and that thick and creamy texture. Honestly, I’m not a big fan of sweets or desserts, but I will definitely make sure to go back to Yeti’s…I just wish they were open more often! For $ 3 it’s certainly worth a try — I’m pretty sure you won’t regret it :)

I think the location’s moved now to Oltorf, just before Church’s chicken. Anyway, if you love McFlurry’s from McDonalds or DQ, you’ll absolutely love this. It’s made with a different base(not ice cream, but custard) and is amazing. If I have a craving for a McFlurry or some kind of shake-like thingy, I’ll definitely swing by this place.

I loveee ice cream but I love frozen custard more. My college days were spent going 30 miles to Shakey’s in Joplin, MO until they got one in Pittsburg, KS.(They have Shakes in Cedar Park & Georgetown which is a franchise of it and still love that place but I am too lazy to drive out there very often.) Soo when we were at the Long Center this week I was excited to see a new custard opportunity. My husband and I were both extremely disappointed. When they handed it to us it was already half melted. It was still early in the evening, maybe a few minutes after 7. And then it just turned into a flavorless soup within minutes. Like you were just chugging some whipping cream out of the milk carton. Felt like I was going to have that yucky coating in my mouth after I finished it. Maybe the strawberry or chocolate would have been better but I had gone with just vanilla with some chocolate chips sprinkled on it. My husband had their version of a concrete with heath bar mixed in. We even ran into a friend who also loves Shake’s and gave her a bite. She was also like yep, that’s not good at all.

Hands down the best frozen custard truck ever in existence! Not to mention the best-looking food servers around! Cheers to Yeti! :)

Just had the most incredible frozen custard treat of my life. A super cute food truck on 1st St on the same lot as La Barbeque. You have to try it for yourself. Delicious options and they are really fast. I am planning to book them for my son’s birthday party. They cater and do events! How perfect for the summer. Hurry and get some Yeti… such a great new food truck in Austin.

Yeti started in San Diego, I live in San Diego, yet my first Yeti experience happened to be in Austin. Delicious — vanilla bourbon frozen custard was so good. When the line at Gordoughs is too long cross the street and get some frozen custard, you will not be disappointed.

I’ve long missed the rich and velvety frozen custard I came to love at Ted Drew’s while living in St. Louis. Thankfully Yeti knows what they’re doing. I’d prefer it a little thicker, but other than that, their frozen custard is spot on. Very tasty and great texture. Enjoy!

I had my first sighting today! Well that’s what my punch card says. Austin businesses love their unique names, and Yeti is no exception. I guess abominable snowman frozen custard would’ve sounded pretty dumb anyway. We were kind of cold, huddled next to a heater eating some always delectable LABBQ, and I was thinking about trying Yeti. The chick pouring the free beer who is apparently the owner suggested it, and I’m glad I tried Yeti. I got a naked Yeti with half vanilla and half chocolate. I gotta say I’m usually a chocolat-ey kinda guy, but I think I liked the vanilla more than I liked the chocolate. They were both tasty and creamy, in no particular order. They do have coffee, which might have been a better choice on a chilly day. When I eat BBQ, I’m sort of like one of my favorite stand up comedians, Louis C.K. I eat until I effing hate myself. Yeti will give me a reason not to do this when I have BBQ next time. So when you have LABBQ try saving a little bit of room for some custard. You won’t regret it, unless you don’t like custard. But who doesn’t like custard?

Put down that pint of Ben & Jerry’s. Stop standing in line at Extraordinary Desserts. Frozen Custard has made it west of the Mississippi — and it’s delicious. I was born and raised in Wisconsin– the birthplace and Mecca of frozen custard, and these guys have nailed it. For those not in the know– frozen custard is ice cream with egg folded in. The added egg enhances the flavor and gives it a richness that ice cream alone can not achieve. For an unforgettable dessert, give these guys a shot. Tried them at the Little Italy Xmas tree lighting after keeping my eye on them, and was not disappointed.
