This is a summer program designed, according to their website, to teach young people«engineering and technology principles in a fun and invigorating way.» Sounds cool in theory, right? Sure it does! I can say that in execution this program doesn’t seem to really do much except charge exorbitant tuition — $ 719 for a week not including lunch — and let the young people play MarioKart and Minecraft. Really, that’s all it seems to do. The small 6:1 ration just means that the adults — or rather people who are less young — «supervise» while the campers play MarioKart and Minecraft and shriek like drunkards on Bourbon St. Perhaps playing MarioKart and Minecraft is teaching the campers«Fundamentals of Game Design» or «Adventures in Technology?»
