Awesome family style service with incredible food. The tacos are not made to eat just one… I always end up eating four or five. Hamburgers are crazy GOOD! Finish up with ice cream and big belly. Love this place

I ate here today and it reminded me of Dairy Queen. The burger is Sooo greasy it dripped a TON when I picked it up. It was over salted and had too much musturd. Fries were decent Clean tables. Giving it a good score because staff was friendly and bacon was the best

Came through the drive through around 9:15 with one person in front of me, but when i got to the window i was told to drive around and wait by the patio. I have been waiting for twenty minutes now still with no sign of my food. Finally nearly thirty minutes after ordering and paying I have my food. Did I mention the fries are cold? Hamburger was decent, but the toppings were on one side only, requiring a rebuild on my part.

Try a Wally banger and a fried chicken sandwich. Nothing healthy here but all is delicious!

Pretty mediocre. Nothing special about the burgers. Fries weren’t that tasty. Atmosphere uninspiring. At least the service was very friendly.

I like a burger where the patty is larger than the bun. «The Engineer» burger really satisfies. Quality much improved from my visit last year. I agree with previous posts that the order taker, Scott Jones, gets a «10» for courtesy. I’ll return soon.

Came for dinner and food was just awesome! Love the chicken sandwich! Ice cream cone was amazing! Clean area and the supervisor uniform was really nice clean cut! Paul c. Looked great in the uniform. Thank you for hiring someone like Paul who was funny and took care of our dinner needs! We will be back Wally’s!!!

A BLASTFROMTHEPASTTHATHITSTHESPOT!!! I haven’t been to Wally’s for at least a few years, as I don’t live or work in this part of Austin anymore. After visiting a friend in the area the other night, I grabbed a burger and fries on the way home and WOW, was I pleasantly surprised. I had forgotten how consistently great their burgers and fries are. The patties are substantial and appear to be free of fillers and meat glue. Their buns stand up to the steam inside the packaging are not too sweet. Fries were fresh, hot, crisp, and dense, but still fluffy on the inside. They must change their oil often based on his light, clean, and crisp the fries always are. I’ve been back once sense to see if it was a fluke and it was not. Same consistent good quality and great execution. This is definitely a cut above a Wendy’s, or Whataburger, which themselves are a cut above a sonic or carl’s junior, which are a tier above a McDonald’s or Burger King, both of which are basically inedible garbage.

The foods always been awesome but today they got my order completely wrong. I ordered a crispy hi ken sandwich and got a burger. Not even close. And I don’t eat red meat and live east of I-35 I was home before I checked my food. A bit far to go back and change it.

Wally’s burgers are good. Unfortunately they are very over priced for what you get. I felt the staff was the quality of what you get at McDonald’s but the prices were closer to Chili’s. The price of the burger compares to what the largest combo meal is at the highest price fast food restaurant and to add fries and a drink really drove up the price. Overall it seemed high for three people to eat lunch without paying for a wait staff.

If I’m on this side of town and looking for a quick but delicious lunch I will always go to Wallys. I can’t help myself because the first visit was such a great experience! Obviously the food is great(I love the chicken strips and the cherry milkshake) but the staff is superb. They even had a dog treat ready for my puppy at the pick up window. If you’re in the area please give it a try.

As a fast food restaurant, I was skeptical of the quality. However, I was pleasantly surprised how fresh everything was. I had a bacon cheeseburger combo, and found out both the patty and bacon are not frozen, but fresh. Made a huge difference in flavor. I also had their chicken tenders. Those were definitely the best tenders I’ve had in a long time. Fresh white meat chicken and the breading was good. My favorite was the country gravy. Overall, it is still fast food, but certainly a cut above most.

There are few fast food/drive-thrus where I will order a burger. Wally’s is at the top of that list! They make a great burger, you can tell they use fresh ingredients and that your food was made to order, rather than been sitting under a heat lamp for the past 5 minutes! Oh, and their milkshakes? AMAZING!!!

Can tell you they are proud of their food. Over priced burger and fries. Extra small cup of water 81cents. I do not think the attitude of the staff is positive.

Errrgh, been years since I’ve been here. Lots of change. Looks like they did a remodeling of the place, or, maybe it’s just me. I remember a whole different Wally’s. One that had that local feel and served up a good burger. What I got today was a feel of a fast food chain that just doesn’t give a crap about your experience. Service at the register was mediocre, and, the girl at the register looked unkempt. We both ordered the classic. One as is, mustard and veggies add cheese, the other as is scratch the mustard add mayo. Both burgers came out with cheese. When the girl, same one that took our order, brought them out she rudely plopped them on our table and said«Here you go, enjoy!». WTF? First thing I noticed was that my patty looked nothing like the ones in the pictures that are in their restaurant. Those«fresh beef patties» they boast about made my actual patty look like a twin sister to a crappy Quarter Pounder from McD’s. Not only was the patty thin and tasteless, the whole burger was lacking TLC. There was no care taken into the preparation of our burgers. Looking at my pictures you can see that this burger looks like it came off of a production line. The veggies were hastily thrown onto the burger. Count the diced onion pieces(8?). Why do so many places shy away from sliced onion. FF chains I get, but, local joints? The two tomato slices were placed together at one side of the burger, then a couple of chunks of lettuce were thrown in. Sad disappointment. Also to note are the fries. Skinny shoestring kind. Crisp. I’m not a big fan of fries, but, for what they serve I guess they’re spot on. Our burger experience here was a big disappointment. Nothing I would recommend to anyone. I would put these guys in a fast food chain level comparable to that of McDonald’s. Nothing I would go back for, but, if I’m in the area I may be tempted to try something else there. Epic burger fail!

It’s a step up from McDonalds. It’s in my neighborhood. When I crave a quick burger and fries, and I’m not willing to drive to Top Notch, this is my spot. I’m still amazed at how easy it is to get a tasty burger in Austin.

Late night dinner a few weekends ago. I’ve driven by Wally’s many times but I’ve never eaten there. It’s in a nice neighborhood but it always looked… worn down. My husband recalled them having awesome burgers though. We both got chicken tender meals. They were alright. You know how some chicken tenders have very little breading and then some are so thin in places that when they are over-cooked it’s like gnawing on each bite? Mine were kind of like that. Pretty disappointing. To make my late-night meal extra unhealthy I also had a milkshake, which was damn good, y’all. I couldn’t decide whether to get chocolate or butterscotch so the guy at the counter recommended THAT I MIXTHETWO. Whaaaaaat?! Heck yeah, I mixed them. So, overall, the food was meh, the milkshake was tasty goodness. I’ll try more of their food next time but will pass on the chicken tenders. Oh, and the inside apparently was renovated because it looked nice and clean =)

Was in the area and hungry so we decided to give Wally’s a try. We ordered 2 bacon cheeseburgers with large combos. Total was $ 21.60 Price: EXPENSIVE! Burgers: Neither had ANY bacon on them! Not a single crumb. What exactly did we pay for? They also only come with mustard on them, which I am absolutely not a fan of. It very well could have said this on the menu and I just missed that, so I can’t actually deduct any points for that. My ¼ patty was still raw in the middle and the bun was soaked in grease. Not in a good way, more like eating a greasy sponge. Fries: We both ordered the lg combo so our 2 yr old(who’s on a no meat kick) would have something to snack on. Both of our fries were the standard size from Short Stop(not the lg at short stop, just the regular size there). So he ended up just eating mine. I had a couple, they were under salted, soggy, and floppy. Gross. We won’t ever go back. The food was unacceptably disgusting and way expensive. Save your money and go anywhere else!

This review is solely regarding the milkshake. I got a strawberry shake here and now consider it the best example of what I call the ‘sandys style’ shake. I might need to start calling it ‘wallys style’, though. Strawberry shake comprised of crushed fruit blended into soft serve. Consistency is medium thick with huge chunks of fresh fruit. Shake is served with giant boba tea straw, which any shake fan will appreciate. Highly recommended.
