Paid my deposit didnt get the apartment and still didnt get my deposit back. They say it was mailed on the 7th. Since when does it take 2 weeks to get mail? Total ripoff. DONOTGOHERE! Madison at Walnut Creek is way better.

The apartment was basic and dated, nothing special. The office staff has some SERIOUS ethical problems. DONOTTRUSTANYTHING they tell you. Demand absolutely EVERYTHING in writing and keep every scrap of communications with the office. There’s a revolving door on leasing agents which should say something to you about the quality of the management team.

The office staff is generally quite friendly and polite, and we’ve never had any problems with them, apart from a temporary snafu with package delivery that was satisfactorily resolved. Maintenance issues are generally quickly taken care of. Size and quality of living space very good for the rental fee. Neighbors could be more considerate: even living on the third floor, there is occasionally noise from neighbors on the first floor, sometimes of adjacent buildings. Definitely some values dissonance /cultural divide going on, and if this is the«loudest place» one has experienced, heaven help them if they move to Orlando or Phoenix(both places where I have encountered vastly more disruptive neighbors). Also, pointedly, hardly the fault of the the apartment managers: if you’re not filing noise complaints, and not talking to the managers about them, then how are they supposed to fix the perceived problem? I do thoroughly understand the complaints about the«dog park»: it is definitely a retention pond, and since the vegetation was cleared(hacked to pieces, more like) a while back, it went from being full of wildlife to only occasionally harboring a couple of ducks, so not terribly effective as either a dog park or a wildlife sanctuary. Not really a place to live if you’re a soy-cappuccino-kale-smoothie yuppie, I guess, but for those people with realistic expectations of what to find in an apartment complex that caters to a wide range of socioeconomic groups, this is serviceable.

Do you like living in the hood and get woken up by loud gangster music and yelling? Then move to the park at walnut creek! And do you like loud trucks that sound like semis and people driving 40 mph in a parking lot? This place might be for you! This is by far the LOUDEST apartment complex my husband and I have ever experienced. My daughter rarely makes it through a nap or gets a full nights sleep due to loud music. I can’t let my oldest daughter out of my arms in the parking lot or she would get run over. The people that live here are low life people. Yeah, cheap for the square footage… But you pay what you get for and the less you pay the more low life people will live there. They advertise a huge dog park… Yeah… its a retention pond. We were told«we have never seen it flooded before! Theyre fixing it!» Really? Its been a year and its still a pond that the maintenance guys go in a ROWBOAT to get across… We got a $ 200 visa gift card, free rent, and a 1200SF apartment for 800 a month… For a reason.

It’s all full of katrina survivors and section 8 but the good news is the dollar store across the st is making money selling we’d koolaid and swisher sweets

I have wanted to move out of this place since the first week I moved in. Any time I have a problem with my apartment, maintenance has to come out multiple times. When I moved in, they had the wrong lock on the storage for a month before they gave me a new key. The lock on my back door was broken and came out when the key was turned. It took them two weeks to fix the lock on my door, and for two weeks there was a hole in my doorknob. They told me this was an emergency issue, but they took two weeks to fix it. My air conditioner went out a few times within a few weeks. The stopper on my tub was the wrong size, so it did not hold water — not to mention the hot water was broken for a few weeks. They also told me I could have my grill when I came to see the apartments, that was a lie. They told me there was a hot tub, but that was a lie also. My refrigerator has now gone out for the 2nd time in a week, and I am having to replace all of my food AGAIN. I am very ready to leave this place.

This apartment complex was great while I lived there… neighbors were pretty nice. It included all your basic amenities such as storage space, plenty of paking, nice layout and a nice dog park that surrounded a pond. It also had a decent gym, computer room and game room. Very reasonably priced for the square footage you get… I would recommend this place to anyone. It also was easy access to 35, downtown and Mopac… NIce staff and attentive management:)
