Stein Mart is like an upscale TJMaxx or Marshall’s…but think better brands, higher quality clothes and shoes, and a little less housewares and no junky stuff. I usually have great luck finding things here. This location is very nice… well-kept and helpful.

Great price for shoes, bras, dresses, jewelry and jeans! I like Bee Caves Stein Mart better than Anderson Rd SM location.

Stein Mart looks like it has pretty clothes discounted. It’s kind of true. They have some decent brands available, but not always at the price you’d expect from a discount store. The stuff with the price you want, well, the quality should always be questioned. I often find the clothes fit weird. You can find a deal there, just not every time.

Wow. What a terrible experience I had in this place. Not a place to go to be treated well.

This is a great place to shop if you know how to bargain shop. If you sign up for a Steinmart member card(it’s not a credit card AND it’s free!), they will send you discounts via email and mail. They have all kind of special offers, from getting $ 10 off your purchase, to getting an extra percentage off clearance items. When I go to their«Big» sales, I often buy name brand clothing(Nine West, Calvin Klein, etc.) for $ 5 – 10 per item. They also have a nice selection of inexpensive flip flops. Much of my wardrobe is from Stein Mart!

Stein Mart is the definition of random. Part department store, part discount warehouse, part seasonal retail outlet… it’s as if someone put Marshall’s, Michael’s, Target, Dollar Tree, JCPenney, and your local arts & crafts repository into a blender and hit«Concoct». If you’d like a piece of framed art, some sheets, some Halloween decorations, some… well…interesting jewelry, or some margarita mix, give Stein Mart a try. The array of retail items is almost humorous in its complete randomness. If you’ve got the patience, there’s potential for a bargain, but the organization is such that you’d have just as much luck spending less time in Target.(I am not always so anti-random retail… check out my Garden Ridge review.) The prices are nothing phenomenal, but they do have an interesting clearance section where I once saw a $ 10 dog bed sitting next to 40% off wine glasses. Be prepared to serve yourself — the associates are usually busy ringing up or re-stocking and aren’t great help with questions. Nevertheless, it’s an interesting stop if you’re shopping on Bee Caves. Maybe, maybe not.
