SIR Speedy Printing Centers

I should admit that this incident happened several years ago, and perhaps the woman involved no longer works there. Still, it left a bad enough impression for me to swear off Sir Speedy’s in general.
I worked in the same building as Sir Speedy’s, so it was convenient for me to use them whenever I needed copies. I’m an artist and produced a number of pieces in Photoshop, so I wanted to get a few high-​quality prints for an upcoming art show.
I brought my disc downstairs and left instructions for the number of copies I wanted, etc. The woman I dealt with was an older, white-​haired lady, whom I never really got a good vibe from. She always had this sorta sour expression, like she’d just eaten a lemon. There was another guy who worked there, who was usually nicer, but this particular day I got lemon-​lady.
She said she’d have the copies for me, so I left and returned later that afternoon. As soon as I saw the prints, though, I wasn’t thrilled. The resolution was really crappy, and I knew that the copies on the disc were 300 dpi — not the best for prints, but certainly decent. What she showed me was nowhere near that. I tried to explain this to her, and even mentioned that I’d had copies printed there before which turned out much better (which was true). But she just didn’t seem to care, and insisted that these prints were the best they could produce.
So here’s the part that pisses me off. When I said I didn’t want them, she proceeded to _​rip my pictures up right in front of me_​. She could’ve just thrown them away after I left, but no, I think she took great relish in ripping them up, while I stood there and watched.
I work in retail, and there’s really no excuse for that kind of thing. Maybe if I’d gotten the guy that day, instead of her, all this wouldn’t have happened. But as it is, I was so flabbergasted and insulted by that lady that I’d decided never to go back. And I haven’t.
I told the folks upstairs that I worked with about the whole thing. Now, years later, I get the minor satisfaction of describing it again, in a review. If that lemon-lady’s still there, watch out for her. She might rip up _​your_​work, too. And don’t say I didn’t warn you.
