Felt like having something different. The Angus beef and cheese is my sandwhich. I sometimes might switch up the homemade bun. I sometimes might take off the cheddar cheese. I like to taste the meat. I wish they would season their roast beef. But o well. Salt and pepper will have to do.

TERRIBLE customer service!!! I had an awful visit last night– girl at counter acted as if she was inconvenienced to be there. They completely skipped over me by about 4 guests who paid after me in the lobby, offered no apology at all… not even from the manager I spoke with! I ended up writing a survey expressing my displeasure… let’s see if I hear anything. Is it hard to crack a freakin smile at this location? Get it together! Customer service 101 and they’re failing

Love the Schlotzsky’s original sandwich. I eat here several times a month, food is always good. But almost always get the sandwich to go. When I visit it is outside of «rush» hours, and usually at most one other person has an order in at the same time as me. Wild variations on how long it takes for them to make one sandwich. Once it took over 30 minutes! Sometimes it only takes 3 minutes. Today, about 11:15am I ordered, no one else at the counter or drive thru and it took 7 — 10 minutes to get my sandwich. As I stood at the counter waiting for my order, I saw the workers in the back where they put the meat and bread on the oven conveyor line were busy doing prep work and chatting. WTF? Prep work more important than taking a minute to prep a sandwich and get a customer’s sandwich started?

I have really been craving Schlotzskys and was so excited to go with the entire family. Its not the cheapest when you have to feed the entire fam but this location gave out these BOGO coupons and we were able to partake of 3 of them and was able to feed our huge family for dinner and more to take home. It was delicious! My little ones never ate there before, I know, how is that possible? lol but they LOVED the pizza. We bought a pepperoni cheese one and the Works and they were so yummy. A bit greasier than the sandwiches but still soo good. Perfect crispiness and loads of toppings. I always get the original so I got with the coupon 2 larges and it was delicious! Had more to take home for lunch the next day. The southwest chicken was alright but the boys loved it. I still perfer the original. My oldest son loved the roast beef and I had that before and liked it alot too. We love this location too. It houses Cinnabon and TCBY and its huge, clean and so roomy nice. Visit this location for sure. Really nice staff here too!

This place is terrible, we just got a sandwich with 1 piece of meat on it for like 9 dollars. An absolute joke!

I’m in from out of town and this was my first time ever at Schlotzsky’s and the woman helping was very patient and helpful. I have an awesome sandwich and a great experience! I will be going there more often!

I love the food at Schlotzsky’s. But be prepared to wait during lunch hour. I come here for lunch about once a week because I just can’t resist their Turkey Bacon Club and it’s close to my office. The wait is a little too long for a deli, especially if you’re just trying to take a quick lunch break. They always apologize… But if you’re apologizing then fix it! Can’t deny the good-sized portions and yummy food, though.

I have been an occasional diner here since it opened. Always satisfactory, till this visit I can’t help but think their has been a managemt change. Sandwich was ok but sloppily made. Lack of cleanliness very troubling. Many tables sat unbussed the ½ hour I was there, the rest had obviously not been cleaned in some time. Random debris such as napkins and straw wrappers scattered across the floor. I never noticed this place being other than spotless in the past. Very disappointing

This is the one Schlotzky’s I go to. My sand-which is always done right no matter how I change them up. The staff here is always friendly as well.

Ordered a flat bread pizza and chicken topping came out cold. I asked them to heat up. No apology or nothing. I can literally get the same item at Chili’s for just a couple more bucks and it is twice the size and tastier. Place doesn’t appear to get much business but that is no excuse for poor service. If you are going to eat at Schlotzskys really the best one is on south Lamar although all are pricy for what you get.

Excellent staff at front counter. Nice atmosphere. Food was wonderful and brought me back to college days at the University of Minnesota! Medium sandwich is too much food for me.

Sadly I must agree with some of the other reviews this Schlotzsky’s service has gone downhill. Upon walking up to the counter the girl Stephanie didn’t even greet us just asked us «what you want«, service very lackluster manager seems unconcerned about what was going on as well as passing our table six times without asking us how are food was what a shame. Also I had to eat my soup with a plastic spoon because they had no clean silverware what a mixed bag of tricks. Not really sure if we’ll return…

This is one of my favorite places because allow me to have a good lunch right at my calories budget. The turkey sandwich with or without avocado has all simple ingredients that make this a perfect lunch that it is impossible to find on other fast food places.

Had the veggie sandwich. So bland and plastic. Bleh. Not sure I’ll be back. Seems more of a place for meat eaters.

I haven’t been to a Schlotsky’s in a while, just because I don’t eat at a lot of sandwich places often. So I had forgotten about all the good things. (1) They are local. Established in Austin in 1971. (2) They make their own sourdough bread. (3) They have delicious soups and sandwiches with lots of healthy options. And this time I learned new things: (1) They now have Cinnabun and an ice cream shop inside. (2) They have pizza and amazing salads. (3) They have a soda fountain where you can make your own soda creation. The last new feature is hard to explain, but when you select the Dr. Pepper button, for example, you will see that you can get, not only regular Dr. P, but also cherry or cherry vanilla Dr. P. So I got ginger ale, but then with my flavor options, I made my own orange vanilla ginger ale that tasted like cremesicle. I also had got the medium turkey cranberry sandwiches, which was on sale, and I had every intention of not finishing the sandwich. However, when I bit into the warm bread, a little soft and a little crispy, with the creamy sauce and sweet tangy cranberries, I just couldn’t help myself. It was so good!

Overall, not too bad and not too expensive. I’d never even heard of this chain until my recent visit but I was pretty impressed. I like the fact that they will custom make any sandwich that they offer. Several different breads and cheeses to choose from helps, but they created a veggie sandwich out if thin air for my daughter that she just loved. I think they could do a better job at cleaning their condiments containers and salt and pepper shakers, but the dining room seemed well-kept even during the lunch rush. Very cool soda/drink machines!

I don’t know what it is but Schlotzky’s has not been what it used to be lately! I have really mixed emotions about this place! I had the Turkey Bacon Ranch last Thursday at lunch. The bun was soggy, the meat was less flavorful than usual! Halfway through I just started picking the stuff out of the bun and eating it! The best part of my meal was my cold Coke! I have to say they were kind enough to put pickle slices on my sandwich and I still got my pickle on the side. I paid extra for it on the sandwich but, they didn’t hassle me about it which was nice! On the other hand the staff is super friendly, patient and quick to bring out your food! The restaurant gets high marks in my book for always having the tables clean right away after someone gets up! That has to be hard to keep up with because of how busy this location is… hard to find an empty seat! Really hard working staff! Maybe I will get a salad next time or something just had it with being let down every time I order a sandwich hoping this time it will be amazing!
