River Place is an extremely difficult, but very nice golf course. There are forced carries on 7 of the first 9 holes, tons of elevation changes, few tee shots that are not landing in a blind zone, and hazards that line the length of most fairways. Your first time here, you will lose a ton of balls. But if you can master this course, it will greatly improve your game. Course is usually in excellent condition, bermuda greens are very fast, and there is a huge driving range. No drink cart except Fri/​Sat/​Sun. Other than that, if you can get a time on GolfNow for this private course, it is definitely worth playing.

this is a very enjoyable course to play, while being pretty damn tough too! if you can’t hit your ball in the air, do not play here! many forced carries all over the place! many elevation changes, and water as well! this course will definitely test your game, and should be played while in the austin area. many scenic views as well. this definitely is a course i will be playing again, the next time i’m in the area. so do yourself a favor and play this course, it is absolutely worth every penny to play here! no joke!
