I am posting this review mainly as a warning to those with Celiac or serious gluten sensitivities. I ordered the gluten free pizza, with tomato sauce, mushrooms, onions and spinach. There was apparently a large degree of cross contamination because I was very sick afterward. Eating out is always a risk when you are Celiac, but this was one of my worst experiences. The service was excellent and very fast, but the food is not to be trusted if you have serious allergies.

This is my go to place when the hideout is either closed or too damn busy to park. Great drink selection and solid pizza game, if you are in the neighborhood, check them out!

This is one of our favorite spots! Great drinks, great service, and delicious pizza! My husband always orders the Cubano and I love the veggie pizza! A great place to sit on the patio and wind down after a long week!

We got into Austin really late one night — after 11:00 pm by the time we checked into our hotel. Not many options to eat or drink on a Monday night that late in the area we were in. I found Pour House and went down to grab some grub and a couple of pints. Unfortunately, they close the kitchen at 11:00 pm(the bar stays open until Midnight on Mondays). So I stayed and tried two different local craft IPAs. The bartender — Steven as I recall, was very helpful in describing the attributes of the two IPAs that I eventually tried. They offer a lot of local craft beers — as well as craft beers from other places. — Stash IPA(7.0% ABV), Independence Brewing Co., Austin, TX Stash uses four different hops — Columbus, Galaxy, Nugget, Cascade and Citra — it’s a very hoppy and resinous IPA. Loved it! —(512) IPA,(7.0% ABV)(512) Brewing Co., Austin, TX (512) is more of a malty, sweet IPA to my palate. Of the two IPA’s I preferred the Stash. Would like to come back some other time to experience some of their«pub grub.»

Stopped in for lunch with three friends. The signage out front is not great and we almost missed it. Inside the place is comfortable and has good vibes. I had the Dude pizza which was outstanding! Also had a cold Live Oak Hef and an order of fried cheese which I shared with the table. The others liked their salads and pizzas too. Our waitress was very friendly and efficient. I liked it better than Pint House Pizza! We will be back.

Pour House is my local watering hole. We’re almost literally right across the street so it is very walkable. We were super jazzed that they finally got rid of Antonios and whatever other atrocities they have had in this space for years and added a Pour House. The panic breaded mozzarella sticks are fanatics as is the spinach salad. I love getting the Italian Stallion and the Cuban pizza. My son loves when we order carry out and he can hear me say«I’d like a 14″ Italian Stallion». But hey, who wouldn’t? The beer selection is good and prices are great. Super fun place to hang out when the weather is nice. Can handle small parties or larger groups.

I love the fact that this place is tucked away but also not too far off the highway. The ambience is great thanks to their«café style» lights zigzagging across the patio on the trees. The staff is half and half for me. Some have been great and super friendly and some have just been snooty at times. The food is pretty good here. They mostly sell pizzas and they are really good for the most part but just a little heavy on the dough for my taste. The interior is kind of run of the mill so we have always sat outside. There is an outside section that is nonsmoking and covered but if you don’t want to be around smoke then you should probably be inside. The restroom was clean and the food and drinks come out really fast! The parking can get tricky here but they still have had plenty to go around on the weekdays. Just watch out on the weekends!

Good food, good draft beer selection and good appetizers!!! I would add more food to menu. I believe I heard other Pour House sites carry burgers. Nice patio to chill out. Service is always very friendly. I live close to bar and nice to walk down to it. Really nice neighborhood bar.

I had high hopes for this place and that might be why I’m not giving a better score. We just so desperately want to find good wings in Austin. It’s a cool place though with good pizza and good beer.

We are visiting Austin from out of town, and after several days of Tex-Mex, we needed a change of scenery. We tried Pour House after seeing positive reviews on Unilocal, and because it was pretty close to our hotel. We ordered the«Osso Bucco» wings(which were fantastic) and the fried pickles(also awesome). Our server was great, she recommended a local beer to me based on my preferences, and checked on us often. After killing our appetizers, we both ordered our own 8″ pizza– I ordered the Cubano, because pulled pork and pickles on a pizza sounds delicious to me, and my coworker ordered the Third Coast(which is no longer on their menu, but was still listed on the menu on their website– they were able to make it for her anyway because they still use all of the ingredients in other dishes). My coworker wasn’t in love with her pizza, something just seemed off to her, but I really enjoyed the Cubano– the only reason I couldn’t finish it was because I was already stuffed! The prices were really reasonable, particularly for their craft beers. I sincerely appreciated the range of beers available on tap.

Great spot for pizza and beer. Lots of local brews and all for cheap compared to usual bar prices. The pizzas are made with high quality ingredients. Crust is thin, but not cracker thin. If the weather is nice, opt to sit out on the large patio. We’ve been here a number of times during busy dinner time and have never had to wait.

Great pizza. Great vibe. Solid 3.5 star. The reason for the 2-star deduction from last is that the center of my pizza is cool and my beer is kinda warm. Still a great, local neighborhood pizza place and hangout.

This is a 3 star review but I want to start out by saying I will still go to this place… I know not all 3 star reviews convey that. The good: –We showed up at 7p on a Saturday with a group of 10 and they got us a seat inside immediately. –Staff was super nice about our large group(birthday) and even brought plates for us to use for the cake I brought(even though I brought plates) –Initial drink order was prompt and correct Note: I so appreciate a wait staff that is nice to large groups. I know we are a pain in the ass sometimes, and they serisouly were SOSO nice to us. Very accommodating. The less good –Then our waiter disappeared. Took forever to get an order in because he was no where to be found. When we finally got our food we were starving. Then… gone again. We literally ended up staying an hour longer than we intended because we simply COULDNOTFINDTHEGUY. I think they may have had him serving outside, which is not his fault. But I think we saw the guy twice in 90 minutes. We were going to order more drinks, but it took so long in between sightings we just decided to go. –The pizza was very meh. Seemed under done. Too much cheese. May have been a fluke. –The check was wrong for 3 people(mind you, I completely appreciated that he split it without asking, but then it took us 15MORE minutes to try and sort out the check situation, when we would’ve been happy to split it and write out amounts ourselves if necessary. This could all be a fluke but it was a little weird. Hence, the mixed review. The good news is that there is plenty of seating, the staff was very nice(when you got to interact with them), and good prices on food and drinks. Just be prepared to wait for a while for food and check. We will definitely return to see if our experience was abnormal, I’d love to provide a positive update!

Review for drinks only… We dropped by on Sunday afternoon for a few libations. The PH is a great place for a few cocktails either at the bar or outside on their covered patio. Because it was too hot outside we bellied up to the bar and AC… Service was fine with no short pours. the PH has a pretty good selection of draft and bottled beers as well. Food going by looked pretty good but we just wanted to get our drink on… Mission Accomplished! Yes the Pour House is on my rotation for drinks and food on the next visit.

Pretty good hangout bat. They have a nice outdoor patio and lots of indoor seating as well. They have a good selection of beers and pretty decent pizza options. We got the dude and the el supreme. Both were delicious. My favorite beer would have to be the left handed milk stout.

I’m really debating between 4 or 5 stars for this joint. It’s great. No doubt about it. My friend Nick frequents Pour House and when he suggested it, I got super excited cuz all my Unilocal buddies seem to love it :) The outdoor patio is spacious. We were super surprised that we got a great table with no wait on a Friday night. He ordered the bruchetta(always a fave of mine but I loved the soft bread they used). I had a cider cuz I was in the mood… He ordered a Live Oak. I couldn’t believe how cheap the beer was — I think $ 4 each. We ordered our own little pizzas. I had the Rasta, kinda typical for a vegetarian — mozzarella and basil and tomato. Service was excellent. This is a great place to grab a beer and hang with some friends.

Time for a couple high-end pizza joint reviews. While up in north Austin yesterday I stopped by this Pour House Pints and Pies and while the facilities were not as modern and trendy as St. Philips, this place holds it own. They got half-a-page menu selections of local craft brews, nothing too rare but they offered some good staples like 512 Pecan Porter and Karbach’s Weekend Warrior. Before my Cubano pizza came out, I got full off the amazing«osso Bucco» wings. Not sure exactly what they were made of but I got them with their spicy bbq sauce with blue cheese dip. Really juicy and well plated. Would come here again just for those. The Cubano pizza came out and I only had a slice since I was already full so I got a good amount of leftovers for later. The pulled pork and pickles on this pizza were both really tasty. Slightly more pork could have been added but I had no complaints since the non-meaty bites were still cheesy and fine. Lively atmosphere and is def worth checking out if you are in the area. Just don’t expect golden door handles and chandeliers its just pizza and beers.

We had tickets to a play last night that didn’t end until 10:30pm, and being that we decided to wait to eat dinner we were HONGRY by the time it let out. I opened my Unilocal app on the way home to look for places that were still open, and happened to see we were close to Pour House. Upon browsing the other reviews, I saw Misha S whose tastes I trust. If she liked them, then I knew they had to be good! We had no trouble finding a spot to park. The only thing I will say about their parking lot is that they need to put more lights back there. We walked back to our car after eating in almost complete darkness which made me feel slightly uneasy. There is a large patio here, but it was too cold for us so we made a beeline for the entrance. When we first walked in we were greeted by a huge bar that was noisy and packed with it being a Friday night. We stood by the hostess stand and waited for a table, and it only took a minute or two for them to lead us to a booth. We were both cranky from hunger, but thankfully our waiter was quick to bring waters and had our food out extremely fast considering how busy they were. We started with fried pickles because they don’t take long to make, and I wanted anything I could cram into my mouth at that point(that’s what she said). They surprised us by having a little kick of heat! I love anything spicy on a regular basis, but especially so now because I am coming down with a cold. They serve them with ranch, but you might want to ask for extra because we only ate half the basket of pickles and the ranch was already long gone. For our entrée we got a 14 inch pizza to share and chose the Rasta. It has pesto instead of marinara sauce, fresh mozzarella, sliced roma tomatoes, and fresh basil. WOW! What a pizza! The crust was perfection, the pesto was mouthwatering, and the fresh mozzarella melted beautifully to give you the long strings when you would pick up a slice. It was divine, and totally hit the spot. As hungry as we were, we couldn’t finish the pizza between the two of us so we got a box and took the rest home. I would definitely come back here again to get a smaller pizza just for me because there was a potato one that caught my eye but my husband couldn’t get on board with it.

I try to avoid this place for the following reasons. 1) cheap beer. One can drink too Much and get carried away, and develop a belly in the process. 2) amazing pizza. One can eat too much of this sinful mass of cheese and marinara and pesto and develop food coma in the process. 3) pourita: high risk of ordering too many of these tasty drinks and getting drunk silly 4) fried pickles: just too good to be true. Possibly made from unicorn tears. I could go on, but I’m heading there right now to get a beer.
