Came here for some lunch with a large group of co-workers(I had no involvement in the decision process) and this place is what I expected. It’s low-priced Asian fast food. I chose a safe option: teriyaki rice bowl. While it didn’t make me want to spit it out, it was very much unappealing: the chicken is clearly low quality had this odd unnatural texture to it, the veggies were not seasoned well(if at all), and the food was overwhelmingly bland except for the chicken(and it’s worth noting the teriyaki sauce wasn’t anything special). The staff was very nice and were very willing to correct an order for one of my co-workers, but this is definitely not a place I’d ever come to on my own. Three stars because the quality of the food is expected for the price and the staff is friendly, but not recommended.

I love this place! The food is just as good as PF Changs, just saying wink wink. The portions are 10x bigger and the service is 10x faster! yet its very well kept and fancier than your average fast food chains. I recommend this place to anyone, the sesame/orange chicken is the best, was able to try to lettuce wraps too, I love them! You wont spend nearly as much here as you would at P. F changs, its just nice for a date setting. or something fancy.

Someone needs to give ‘Z’(Zaïre) a raise and a promotion pronto! He treated me with amazing customer service! I really like the food at Pei Wei a lot, but I’m really giving 5 stars at this location for Z! Definitely coming back when I’m hungry for noodles!

The food is pretty good. Service is quick and they’re trying to be faster. Next time you’re here, sit at the counter and watch the guys cooking. You’ll have a new appreciation for their coordination and ability to bust out orders. After today, I think it really did make my chicken pad Thai taste better! Boom! You guys killed it on «Sunday funday.»

I would like to say that everything was reasonably priced. I believe everything was reasonably priced because everything lacks flavor. I took my food to go. Although I did take a bite or two of my Teriyaki chicken right away. It was just so-so, ho-hum, o-k. I might try them again maybe see if they can make it saucier. Not sure who the Expo person was, but she was awesome making sure everything came out exactly right. So Kudos to her.

I never understand when someone says they don’t like pei wei. It’s the best Chinese food ever! I hate how most Chinese places have weird meat. The chicken here is always delicious white meat and it’s not over– breaded. I get pei wei take out every Sunday. Pei wei is essentially my religion. I love pei wei and pei wei loves me. Get the kung pao chicken and crab wontons. Just do it. Eat as much as you can and you’ll still have leftovers for lunch the next day. Also their citrus iced green tea is amazing. Mix it with a little lemonade for the perfect beverage to wash down your kung pao. Ok wow it’s official I’m going to pei wei tonight.

Well rather than give a review I’ll just give you the facts. I ate here Tuesday evening. The only other thing I ate the entire day was some Brisket from Rudy’s about 11am with potatoes. About 8:30 I pick up my take out and take it home. Ate it about 8:45. Fast forward to about 4:30 am and I wake up with the worst case of food poisoning of my life. Ended up in the ER at 11 with severe dehydration and acute kidney failure. It’s now Saturday and I’m still not right. I’m sure legally I can’t say«Pei Wei almost killed me»…so just stating the facts. Got violently ill about 8 hours after eating Pei Wei. You make your own determination. Oh and if anyone from Pei Wei wants to dispute my claim I still have the receipts from the meal as well as the documentation from the ER. I would sue if I could find a lawyer brave enough to take my case.

Pei Wei is a good standby when your Chinese food craving hits and you aren’t feeling adventurous enough to try somewhere new. Their menu has changed a lot since the last time we came. The dish my husband always got is no longer on there which was the Spicy Korean beef. The cashier told him the Pei Wei spicy is similar so he got that but wasn’t as pleased with it. I used to love their orange chicken but lately have been on more of a vegetable kick so I got the Lo Mein with wok seared and marinated tofu. I’m sure the word ‘delicious’ doesn’t come to your mind when you think of tofu, but man do they cook it well here! A forkful of it wrapped around the starchy and garlicky lo mein noodles is where it’s at y’all. I get the small bowl which is plenty big enough for me. Also because we usually pick an appetizer to share before our meal as well. We got the vegetable spring rolls this time which were alright. Not terrible, not great, just your standard egg roll essentially. The sweet and sour dipping sauce they come with I really like though. The food is out quick, it’s affordable, they have a cool space age soda fountain, and you can shove as many fortune cookies into your purse as you want! A solid 3 stars for sure.

Solid 3.5-Star restaurant that gets rounded up to 4-Star for consistency, price, cleanliness and the fact that I’ve seen the same chef there the last five times I’ve been in. She, I believe, controls the quality of all the meals prepared. Notable meals I’ve had here have been: beef lomein, chicken lomein, chicken fried rice, beef fried rice and, as of today, the Vietnamese chicken salad roll. The large portions of lomein and fried rice should be split between two people. They are entirely too big for one person. The new small size portions are good for one person. However, even with the small size fried rice and lomein you should have leftovers. I’m on a quasi diet. So today I ordered a mango California roll and one Vietnamese chicken salad roll. I felt, and still feel, like this is a perfect portion size and type of food for my quasi diet. I wasn’t overjoyed with the mango California roll today. It was just missing something. It wasn’t necessarily bad. But it wasn’t great either. The texture and flavor of the rice is why the mango California roll isn’t a standout. However, the mango California roll is a good bench mark(set to average) on how to judge other sushi rolls, I believe. Kinda like how MickyD’s should be a benchmark of average burgers. Although I haven’t had a MickyD’s burger in over ten years, I still remember it as an average burger. The Vietnamese chicken salad roll I ordered today was good. It came with peanut sauce and sweet and sour sauce. I will order this again. In fact, I think an order of three Vietnamese chicken salad rolls would make a good meal for me. Maybe I’ll order this next time?

I’ve always loved Pei Wei and used to go there all the time when I lived in Dallas. This one is the closest to me now that I live in Austin and I have found them to be rude most of the time when you order takeout on the phone. They also take forever and mess up your order. Very poor service compared to the other Pei Weis I’ve been to.

Good option for a fast food style Asian food. Their servings are decent sized and the food tastes good. The servers are courteous and nice but the place may get packed during lunch hours so plan your arrival accordingly.

Best location I’ve found in Austin! The staff is very educated on Gluten Free options, very friendly, and they are quick to get your order out to you which is VERY appreciated. I definitely think that dining in the food is a lot better, take out the food seems rushed and there’s generally a HUGE wait to pick up your food.

I love the food, especially the Chicken Pad Thai. But no wifi, and most of the tables were not clean and they were slow at 5:30.

I like the variety and the spice, but the price and portion size keep me from giving it a full 4-stars. Pei Wei is a good place for us to eat at every now and then. The app makes take out ordering very easy, but with so many choices locally its hard for them to stand out now. We ordered: Sushi, Crab Rangoon, Lettuce Rolls, Fried Rice, Pei Wei Spicy Chicken(which was NOT spicy at any level) I recently ordered their Spicy Tuna Sushi Roll with our meal, as I wanted to try it, and though it tasted okay I really think the portion was very small. Its diameter was just barely larger than a quarter? And it’s length was almost small then my Galaxy S5? Really? For the amount I paid, I get a larger sized roll(near same price) at buffets and H.E.B. with more flavor. It may be the persons on shift that night and that Pei Wei is not known for sushi(I understand it and get that), but I was honestly left unimpressed. Pei Wei has some things that we like and enjoy, but with the«Meh» experience this time, it may be a little while longer before we order from here again. Lots of choices out there for my money [Solid 3 of 5 Stars]

I really do like their food but this location is the absolute worst. Take out orders take up to 45 minutes and sometimes you’re on hold for 5 minutes before you can even order. Ridiculous.

Horrible service. It took them forever to bring the order despite de fact the restaurant was almost empty. Brought the plates one by one. This place is going downhill really really fast

The female cashier that was working 5÷20÷14 at noon cares nothing about how you want your tofu prepared. She also kept wiping her boogers on her sleeve and was very unfriendly. Gross. Probably not coming back.

I hadn’t visited a Pei Wei since they first arrived on the scene, primarily because I don’t prefer thick, sweet sauces and their menu seemed over-run with them at the time. A friend mentioned though, that they had updated their menu, so I ordered to-go this week and was very pleasantly surprised with the results! From the Thai Wonton Soup to the Vietnamese Chicken Salad Roll to the Thai Lime & Chile entrée, everything tasted VERY fresh, a welcome departure from most of the Asian restaurants in this area. It was so good that I’d order it all again tomorrow! On a side note, I love that they’re offering online ordering, as I’ve come to dread trying to be heard and understood over kitchens and customers when calling in to-go or delivery orders to any restaurant. Overall, Pei Wei can consider me a new fan and likely frequent customer.

The person at the counter was so brusque as to be borderline rude. She could barely be bothered to wait for me to finish deciding what I wanted, even though there was no one else waiting to order. I got the fried rice with chicken and the wife got the Dan Dan(noodle bowl), also with chicken. While the portions were certainly generous, there was almost no flavor to either dish. We also got a 4-piece order of crab rangoons, and those were just plain nasty. They were gritty and very sour. Maybe they were supposed to be that way, but regardless, not very tasty. Though I would give them a try since they were close to work, but really regretted not going to Firebowl or Masala Wok instead. Definitely will not return.

I normally like Pei Wei, but this one has issues. Parents and I decided to meet here after they ran some errands. The appetizer came out quickly, then one entrée. Then a strange awkward wait where the other two entrees didn’t come out. Then the server brought by another appetizer that we didn’t order. Finally, the rest of the order came. Mine was ok, but the sesame sauce didn’t taste quite the same as usual. Finally, when we were ready to leave, the usual to-go boxes and bags weren’t in the usual spot near the drinks and silverware. Come to think of it, the usual bottles of rice wine vinegar and chili oil weren’t out either. Chain restaurants are supposed to be consistent wherever you go. On that criteria alone, this Pei Wei fails.
