The staff is pathetic. A month or so ago, I went in there at 8:55 to pick up an order that I called in 20 mins prior and one of the staff members made a remark about people coming in. Then I heard another staff member say how they couldn’t wait for the store to close. And tonight, I called in to order a to-go order around 8:45. I called twice — the first time it went to the Pei Wei vmail and then someone picked up and immediately hung up on me. The second time, it went to Pei Wei vmail and I stayed on hold for about 5 mins while the machine said I was in «queue 1». Yall just lost 2 frequent customers.

This place is very inconsistent. What do you expect, it’s fast food! They don’t answer their phones and don’t even bother to go there. The wait is close to an hour. Surprised they are even in business!

Terrible service. I needed a quick meal option so I ordered online and selected a pick up time for an hour later. When I arrived I had to wait 20 minutes to get my food and was told«here you go» by the girl behind the counter. No apology. No eye contact. Shouldn’t have even bothered ordering ahead.

Very slow service. I have been waiting 20 minutes and still no food… Finally got my Changs Spicy Chicken with no chili sauce. It was awful.

Great food but can’t eat here during lunch time anymore. 20 – 30 minute waits for foods are common and the staff clearly can’t handle anything when the place is at capacity. It’s a shame because this was a good location.

Good spring roles, but our fried rice took over 40 min so we left and got a refund before it came out. The manager blamed the cooks & didn’t seem very concerned.

I am a huge fan of the new rewards program, and the people working at this location are always super nice. Plus, I’m always impressed by their speed even when they’re busy.

The Sesame is good! I love eating here! However sometimes it can be a bit salty. The sushi is overpriced. Felt like grocery store sushi. I do recommend going here but with fast food expectations.

I can’t tell if I have changed, or if Pei Wei has changed. Anyhow, today when I ordered some takeout, I had a 3 – 4 star expectation. I wanted a low-calorie salad, and my husband always used to like the sesame chicken. Our food wasn’t inedible, but it’s was sooooo boring. My husband was unimpressed with the saturation of bell pepper on his chicken. My Asian chopped chicken salad could have used more dressing for sure, and didn’t it used to come with those crispy wontons? I mean, part of me was relieved I didn’t have to have the temptation, but it was so boring that a couple of crispy dealios really would have helped the experience. Years ago we stopped going to Pei Wei because we found a similar place that is locally owned(Shu Shu on Burnet). I guess I remember now why we made the change. Nothing against the staff! They were very nice, and I appreciate that!

The food has always been good at any Pei Wei. This one lacks customer service big time! I called up an order for pick up so I could just grab and go the girl asked my name and then there was a long silence on the phone my name is pretty easy it didn’t take that long to write it down. She asked what I wanted I ordered the vietmanese chicken chopped salad rolls. She said ok and hung up the phone did not tell me how long thank you drop dead go to hell nothing. I get there there’s a man in front of me his order cost somewhere around $ 123.00 He asked for some lemons slices with his order. The young hispanic girl at the counter said well if you want to wait I’ll have to chop them up, it will be a while. Are you kidding? Maybe say I will get those but it will take a minute. The man just spent $ 220 at your restaurant in one order! Then it finally gets to me turn I pay for my items and then the girl yells back my order for to them to get my order ready? Is this not the point of calling ahead? Then Hispanic guy behind the counter just reaches in and pick up my rolls with his hands! no gloves used at all! I could not believe it! I wanted to say something but I was in uniform and did not want to make a scene. very disappointed I know I should have said something and made him put on gloves and get me a different order. point is it is 5 hours later and I’m still thinking about the horrible customer service at this location and will tell several people. Not sure if it’s just Austin or if its just the lack of Karen customer service the world is coming to it is sad. If you just want to get some food great place don’t expect any courtesy.

For a chain restaurant, pei Wei is pretty good. I come here for the chicken pad Thai and the wonton soup. They have an excellent mandarin citrus Iced tea as well. The service time is pretty quick and it’s a great place for calling in take out!

Love Pei Wei, food is good and the service at this location is good. I give this place a 1 star not because of the brown rice that was served cold, but because I found a cockroach in the area where they store the napkins and the utensils. Needless to say, I certainly won’t be going back to this location.

I have been to other Pei Wei locations that are much nicer. The last visit I made will be my last. I had Pei Wei Spicy Chicken and three was barely any chicken. It was all breaking and clumpy rice. When I asked about the meal they said they are changing the batter on lots of the dishes.

I’m surprised by the low reviews people give to Pei Wei. I actually love this place. Their steak Pad Thai is one the best Ive ever had, just delicious. Great customer service too.

Much better experience this time. Great food. Sedans chicken is loaded, get extra broccoli with the ginger broccoli original to make it perfect.

Long Review: Ok, so this was my first time trying this place and I was SERIOUSLY craving some fried rice and shrimp. When I pulled up to the restaurant, I noticed that it seemed busy which led me to believe that this would be the place to satisfy my craving. I walked inside and looked around unsure of what to do. Suddenly I realized that I needed to walk up to the counter to order.(Silly me for not realizing that) As my eyes scanned the menu sign I lit up on the inside. «Fried rice and Shrimp» I quickly ordered, grabbed a drink, and sat down. My eyes flicked towards the counter, waiting for the time of when the(hopefully) delicious fried rice would emerge. VERY quickly(5min tops) the food was wisked out towards me and my mouth watered. My moment had come. I grabbed my spoon and pressed it into the warm and delicate rice and scooped out a shrimp. It was like an explosion of flavor inside my mouth and I knew, Pei Wei was the one place that I loved. Quick review: All craziness aside, Pei Wei is a pretty good place with quick food and great service. The place seemed clean and(for those who are particular about this) the bathrooms were clean.

I have been coming to this location for about two years, compared to the others it is probably my least favorite. they get simple orders mixed up, tables are dirty for a long while even when its not busy. the floors are almost always wet from ice/water being spilled by the soda machine. they get skimpy with extra orders when you do take out. an example would be that I ordered a dish with extra veggies for take out and the only extra I got was a single piece of small broccoli! the food is still consistanly delicious though!

Let me start out saying, normally PW is pretty good food. Step up from most Chinese restaurants in town and less fancy & pricy as PF Chang’s. I have gone to the Hancock location since it opened. I have been more happy than not with my orders. However this location has been slipping. I used to enjoy their crispy spring rolls, however after ordering them on three separate visits and getting a less than tasty product — I have vowed to take them off my family’s regular order. Last night I called in our usual order and my fried rice with chicken(no veggies) and extra eggs was overloaded with oil. It lacked the yummy fried rice spice/taste it normally has and the small order weighed a lot, no doubt due to the grease bath. The oil in the rice reminded me of bad Chinese delivery. It actually looked like brown rice. My friend’s order however was awesome. He had Pei Wei spicy with chicken, add pineapple. That is the reason for two stars. I called the next day to politely give feedback on my order. The person answering the phone listened politely and then apologized. Hmmm, guess I’ll give my regular order one more try. I always give a great place like PW three tries in a row before I move on to another entrée or restaurant(depends on issue). Most often I find good places just have an off day/night sometimes and are worth returning to.

I have been to this Pei Wei more times than I can count for take out, and it has always been great. I should’ve stuck to take out. I am currently dining in and this dining area is disgusting. There are more dirty empty tables than clean tables. And my boyfriend got his food 15 minutes before me. Not to mention the girl standing on the food line waiting for food to come out. Listen chick, you can see the food line from the dirty dining room that you should be cleaning. The food today is okay. Not what I asked for, but I knew the guy at the front wasn’t really listening. I could’ve avoided that. I hate to say that I’m not coming back, but why would I eat food out of a kitchen when the rest of the place looks dirty. Can you imagine what that must look like?
