They used to have a lot bigger selection and were reasonably priced. I paid over 70 dollars for shoes. What ever happened to buy one pair got another half off. The sales people were fine and helped me when I first got in. Payless is pay more. Would have been cheaper buying 3 pairs of shoes at target!

This is both a review for this location and the Payless 800 customer service #. I recently ordered a pair of shoes online from Payless and used the ship to store feature, along with an online coupon code for $ 2 off the order. I never received a phone call from the store confirming my shoes had arrived, even though I received a confirmation email w/the date of delivery. I called the store to double check, and they could not locate my order, so I called the 800 customer service number. The operator placed me on hold and called the store to see if she could locate my order. After confirming my order had been«lost», the operator informed me they were out of the shoes in my size through the warehouse, but offered to try to locate them in another Austin store. This N. Lamar store was the only location to have them available. The operator said my order would be credited back to me, as well as the additional $ 2 for the inconvience caused by losing my order.(Noticed later my card wasn’t credited the additional $ 2, but they did send me a coupon) This location had my shoes waiting for me when I came in, and the person working(didn’t catch her name) was SOHELPFUL! I’m not thrilled that my online order was«lost», but this store tried to help me out and offered numerous apologies for the lost order, even though it was in no way this location’s fault… gotta like that one. I don’t find as many shoes at Payless as I used to, it seems like their styles have become a little limited, but I like that I can shop online and see all they have available.(Some stores limit what they offer online, but not these guys, which is great w/the free ship to store feature.)
