Really really small place. Very popular, local, vegan and vegetarian fare in addition to bacon, eggs, pancakes, etc. Very little parking with threats of towing, as is SOP in Austin. There are a couple of tables outside. Coffee was excellent, as was the bacon. Husband had a bacon and cheddar pancake. It wasn’t anything he would order again, but it was flavorful and yummy to me. Glad we stopped in.

Oh man the par, bacon and scallion pancake is amazing!!! Emits sweet and savory, so good plain, with hot sauce, dipped in egg yolk or smothered in syrup. The eggs over easy were cooked perfect and bacon side was crispy. We ordered some grapefruit juice mimosas and drip coffees. The people working were super friendly and helpful, always a plus when eating in a smaller, eclectic spot. So glad we came in today!

I’m between 4 and 3 stars, but giving it 3 ultimately because if I think about whether I would drive there if in town again, probably not. I had the pear, bacon pancake, which was pretty good — I paired it with a side of grass-fed spicy ground beef, so the two were pretty darn good. We also ordered french toast and omelette. Everybody was overall happy. The coffee, café con leche, was ok, needs to be stronger. Overall, we were very pleased with our meal and very happy to have dining options that offer organic, grass-fed foods. The meals came out fast and I found the place to be a cute small gem… that would be great if addresses a few things: What they can work on — greeting with a smile on arrival would be nice, and maybe offer direction… «please have a sit» or «when you’re ready, we’ll take your order.» We sat near the area where dishes are dropped, and the trash can in that area didn’t have a lid or cover, and combined with the flies inside the café, there was a slight odor.

This place is not worth the wait. A little too hipster for our liking. We waited for over an hour for our food, no refills on regular coffee, not much seating and many indoor flies. It was crowded when we arrived but after people left we waited hoping someone would clean some of the available tables so we could sit, but we had to ask a worker for them to actually get to it. Can’t comment on service because there wasn’t much. May seem like a good idea to chance it but if you don’t mind the long wait, have at it. Food: my bacon & pear pancake was very good and eggs cooked perfectly. My boyfriend’s meal however was runny scrambled eggs and nothing-special French toast. We will not be coming back.

The old(Elizabeth Street) Bouldin Creek Coffeehouse didn’t die. It moved up north. Same old, funky wood house painted brightly. Same lovable, crusty punks behind the counter. Same vaguely-militant health-conscious ethos. And look at that hot sauce selection: !!! What should you get? They have veggie tortas and quiches with PERFECT crusts. Quiche: Veggie torta(this is an Italian torta … Not to be confused with the Mexican sandwich of the same name or the sweet«torte»): Just picture a giant, beautiful pie filled with beets and greens and onions and cheese and stuff. Oh, and apparently they have pear/bacon pancakes: Pacha is an Austin gem. And if it’s April, see if you can get some loquats from the big trees out front. Apparently they’re closed at night. Which would have made them dead to me in my 20s But I’m fine with the daytime grind now.

Great place! Get there early because there’s limited parking and seating. After reading Unilocal reviews we tried the cinnamon apple pancakes and their beef hash with eggs. We will definitely be back. Once you arrive get in line at the counter to order before you sit. There’s no wait staff. Super casual!

A year ago, I would’ve definitely given this place a 5 star. I hope the owner and staff read this message, so that I can give them a 5 star rating. On a good day, food is good and coffee is hot. On a bad day, food is warm, the portions are smaller and the pachalatte is luke warm. I won’t buy another pachalatte from here until the heat issue is resolved. Whenever I can drink my coffee immediately after I get, I just get a tummy ache and it doesn’t feel like I’m getting any caffeine benefits from it.

My friend and I went here for Sunday brunch. The wait was substantial, so don’t come here if you’re in a hurry. It took about 40 minutes from the time we ordered to when our food arrived. That was my only complaint. The food was great. I had their hearty pig scramble, and it was excellent. The chai was also great. Highly recommend for a leisurely Sunday brunch place. The people are friendly, the atmosphere is quirky but comfortable, and the food is delicious.

Best pancakes and coffee I’ve had in a long time! I had the pear blueberry pancake with a side of sausage and it was perfection! It’s a tiny house with small eclectic tables but the plates are beautiful and yummy! Highly recommend!

Stopped by before we headed back home to Houston Monday morning. Super friendly and helpful staff. I had a breakfast taco with bacon, cheese, and scallion. I loved it. He had a the cornbeef hash. He wasn’t crazy about it… But We both agreed that we just had the BESTBLUEBERRYPANCAKES ever in our lives!

This place screams Austin. Hungry on a Saturday morning, my friend and I arrived to Pacha and found a parking space in the back immediately. Parking is available in the street if no parking spaces are available in the lot. Pacha is a little cozy restaurant — homey like with charm. There are about 10 tables inside with additional 5 tables outside when the weather permits. Menu is decently extensive with breakfast and lunch options. We arrived when there was a couple in front of us, but the line can got worse after 11:30AM. That line was to the door, and the cashier inside yelled twice to keep the door shut. There is a wait time for when you receive your food order — written next to the Coffee/Drinks board. It was 35 minutes when we arrived, but the wait time can be greater than 1 hour. Small kitchen, so they are most likely lacking in the number of cooks vs orders ratio. Food: Beef Hash(3/5, 100% grass fed beef with grilled potatoes, leeks, carrots, celery, and turnip, served with wilted green with 2 eggs any style): I was not impressed by this — just okay. I ordered my eggs sunny up slightly easy, and those were made perfect! The serving is not filling in my opinion for the price I paid. It was kind of bland despite being seasoned, so I used some Habanero hot sauce that made it twice as better than before! French Toast(4/5, Sourdough toast soaked in spiced egg butter with maple pecan espresso butter): Can be served solo, with 2 eggs, meat, or all. This was delicious! Light and fluffy! I loved the sourdough toast with the different take on the butter. It was not too sweet in my opinion — just the right amount. Apparently, you can switch the toast if you are not a fan of sourdough. The french toast alone is not fulfilling, so you should pay for the additional eggs and meat. A few choices on the menu stood out but not being a big pancake person, I opted for the Beef Hash and French Toast. Personally, I’d try to order food items that are made fresh instead of things from the display. At Pacha, they endorse local made/grown products with 90% of the food prepared being organic. Yes, I would come back to try the breakfast tacos and that Pear Bacon Pancake! Plan your visit though — parking, wait and food time, and seating.

This review is for the coffee, love the cold brew and they have non dairy options that makes life so delicious~ The food is very good as well. They use filtered water! They seem to have a deep care for the earth and what they purchase for you to consume. They are still managing the wait times most likely not because the place is to small as the menu is just to big. Less to offer less to wait for. I recommend this place. I took one star off because I’m not a fan of the microwave.

Came here for breakfast/brunch expecting a really good experience and left feeling ripped off. The parking situation here is pretty bad. We lucked out and found a spot in the front but keep in mind that they only have about 6 – 7 spots in the back. When we arrived the line was decently long but not terrible for Austin. Waited in line for about 20 minutes then ordered our food. After ordering our food I saw a sign that said expected kitchen wait time was 45 minutes. I should of stopped after seeing that sign… I understand this is a small café/coffee shop but this isn’t Franklin BBQ, or a popular brunch restaurant. If your a small café that can’t make an omelet under 20 minutes than you probably should just stick to pastries and coffee. After about 1 hour the food we ordered finally came out. It wasn’t that great at all… It was not worth waiting over an hour for. The only thing they did good at was making coffee. The food, wait time and the parking situation sucked but the coffee was delicious. I don’t plan on coming back ever again for breakfast/brunch.

Came during brunch hour, wait was long, but they warned us of that, so I get it. What I don’t understand is how the table next to us, that was 3 tables behind us in line, got their food before us even though they ordered the exact same thing(bacon pear scallion pancakes with eggs and sausage). Prior to bringing their food out, an employee came by to tell us that there were no more sausages available(mind you, this was after 50 minutes of waiting) so we’d have to settle for bacon. Honestly, I would not have gotten meat at all if there was no sausage available bc the pancake already has bacon in it. What made me extremely upset, however, was that the aforementioned table that got their food before us despite them ordering after us, clearly had sausage! What? Please do better next time. Extremely disappointed. Gave 2 stars bc the pancake is still pretty dang good.

We came here on a Saturday morning for some breakfast and I was a little apprehensive due to what seemed like mixed reviews on Unilocal.Based on the pictures people posted it was enough for me to give it a try. We arrived around 10:30am and as people mentioned there isn’t a lot of parking, but we were lucky enough to find a spot in the back immediately. The line to order only had a few people in front of us which actually gave us time to look over the menu and nail down our order since this was our first time here. We were noticing as we were about to order there weren’t many tables and most people seated had not gotten their food yet which gave me a little anxiety. We proceeded to order a banana pancake and a meaty pancake with a mocha latte with Mexican chocolate. We stood and waited for a table and one became available within a few minutes which was nice. We did wait about 45 minutes for the food, but we were for warned that it would take that long so we didn’t mind. The food itself was delicious and the majority of it is all local farms and organic. The coffee was also great and served in ginormous cups which makes the wait for the food more palatable so I would recommend a beverage with your meal. Here is what I would not recommend if thinking about coming here. — I don’t know about coming with a large group as the biggest tables probably only seat 5 – 6 people. — kids unless they are prepared to sit still for quite awhile — coming with someone you don’t plan to conversate with because there will be plenty of time for that. — if you are in a hurry although I will say at 11:30 when we were leaving it did appear to be emptying out so maybe later in the morning towards almost lunch time is the way to go. We will definitely be back though as we loved the food and coffee.

Pear, bacon, and green onion. Who knew this odd combo can be so tasty when mixed in a fluffy pancake?! Friend and I came here for brunch. Neither of us were especially hungry, so we shared a full size pear, bacon, and green onion pancake with 2 eggs, over medium. If only we had known how good the pancake will turn out, we would’ve gotten our own We ate it as was and skipped the syrup. A pancake that’s delish without syrup? Not sure how American this is, but it was delish! Why 4⁄5? The wait was ~30 min, and parking. But all in all, I will gladly return and try the rest of their menu

Old tiny house turned cozy café, with that being said there is limited parking and seating. Not a good idea to come in groups larger than 2. Drinks come out at a reasonable time but just a heads up that food ordered will take a while(30+ mins for french toast with 2 sausages and 2 eggs). The staff will acknowledge you when they are ready– No «i’ll be with you in a min» just ignore, once they are ready then they will pay full attention and be nice. My food was fine, I enjoyed every single bite; I was in no rush today however this place would make the time sensitive pretty pissed. I don’t dislike this place and would even come again for some drinks. I appreciate that they try to be local, healthy, organic however for the prices they charge and the time they take to serve food I expected more.

The food was good but nothing justifies over an hour waiting for a pancake and French toast. This place might be fine for coffee, tea, etc but cooked food simply is a disaster if you need to wait that long. They warn food may take up to 40 minutes but they can top even that. If you go here just make sure you budget a whole lot of time

Can I give negative stars?!? I thought I would give this place one more try, I was just asking for it!! Ruined our morning! When we got there it was crowded, but I had no idea we would wait over 1 hour for our breakfast after we ordered! It really is a shame how rude they treated people coming in for a nice breakfast! Just WRONG!

I love this little place. It’s tiny and tucked away and parking is hit or miss but it’s so worth it. The quality of food and coffee is fantastic so if it’s a little pricier it’s fine and so worth it. I love health conscious little café/coffee houses like this. So much charm and character — perfect place to grab a snack and coffee or sit out on the back porch with a friend for breakfast.

Takes forever. It is more like a coffee chop than café. The food was decent but way over priced. I paid $ 37 for some French toast and eggs, an all American breakfast and two coffee. I was under the impression this was more of a café style but not the case. You wait in line for like 30 min and it takes another 40 to get your food. It’s ridiculous and not worth the time or money

This little ramshackle house on Burnet makes me happy. Ambience is artsy and homey. Pros: Good Coffee Fun music Great breakfast locally sourced, humanely raised ingredients Best Peanut Butter cookies(according to the guy at the table next to me) fast wifi friendly staff Cons: Limited parking Here everything is counter service. So when you arrive, walk up to the ordering counter. Place your order, pay, take your order finder card and find a place to sit, or stick around for pick up if you are taking your order to go. Food will be brought to you. If you want something more, go back up to the counter and place another order. At the end of your visit, please clear your table and place your dishes in the dish pan. On my last visit I had the pear, bacon, green onion pancake with two eggs on the side. So delicious! Pancakes were served with syrup, which I didn’t touch. The pancake batter base and pears were sweet and flavorful enough on their own that I found no need to add additional syrup.

I love brunch, so naturally I had to try Pacha! It was my first time, and a friend and I split the pear pancake and the classic american breakfast plate. First of all, the restaurant itself is very cute and eccentric, very typical of a small Austin spot. There’s also free wifi, which is a definite plus for a college student such as myself. I can definitely see myself working or studying there as the vibe is really chill and the staff is super nice and relatable! It was the middle of the day on a weekday, so limited seating may sometimes be a problem, but it wasn’t for us. Waiting for the food didn’t take long either. Now to the real details. The pear pancake was incredible! It was huge and amazingly fluffy and literally melted in my mouth, and the pear addition to the flavor was so delicious. I’d never had anything like it, even compared to Kerbey Lane, though I’ve never tried pancakes at Magnolia Café. I love that they use fresh, organic ingredients at Pacha! It makes me feel a little less guilty about loving breakfast food. The sausage, eggs, and potatoes were cooked so nicely and the platter was really filling, so I think it’s worth the money. Didn’t try the coffee there today, but I will definitely be back soon to do so! Cannot wait to come back and try all the different pancake flavors and probably the omelettes too. Would surely recommend this to anyone looking for a moderately priced brunch place that is super yummy.

I visited Austin for the weekend, and ended up trying out a few brunch spots, but Pacha was the winner in my eyes. Some of the best pancakes I’ve ever had, and I’ve had a lot of good pancakes. So good, in fact, that I tried to duplicate the apple and cranberry at combo at home the next day(with some success… go me!). This might sound crazy, but I loved the lighting and cute tables and tablecloths. Prime food photo backdrops. My friend and I each got a delicious latte while we waited for our food on a busy Sunday afternoon. Two egg white omelets with veggies and a pear and cranberry pancake for me, and an apple and cranberry pancake for her. Amazing. Seriously. I savored every bite. I want more. The restaurant is tiny and there isn’t a lot of parking. Because of the size, it can take some time to get your food, so if you’re starving, grab a cup of coffee. It’s good coffee. Very good coffee. Addictively good coffee. I also bought two cookies to take home with me because I couldn’t resist. Such a cute spot for a fresh, healthy and delicious brunch. I wish I could take them back to Denver with me!

Thanks to Unilocal,I found this little gem. Initially, customer service was not impressive. We got in and did not know whether to order ourselves or someone would be by and give us the menu and take our orders. After a few minutes of waiting I decided to go to the counter and found out we have to put In our orders. Everything else was fantastic. The coffee was great probably one of the best I’ve ever had. We ordered French toast and the American breakfast and we were satisfied and full. One of the staff came by and gladly answered our questions and was very accommodating. I would be back and try the other items on their menu for sure. Overall, we were very happy

The building screams local Austin. A brunch place not far from the city. Very limited parking but extra parking is available on the street. Walking in … The place is small with a handful of small tables. The menu lists out the local farms and sign states they are 90% organic. The menu sounds very good and the portion are big. I ordered a half portion of blueberry pancake and salmon lox omelet. The wait took a total of one hour but it was worth the wait. They offer free wifi and had no problems just sitting and sipping on coffee. Pancakes– perfect! Omelet was delicious and fluffy. Definitely a winner and can’t wait to be back to try lunch items.

Wonderful brunch place worth the parking hassle! I consider myself an anti-pancake person, but I think I can make exception for Pacha. I had the pear, bacon, and scallion pancake and thought it was outstanding. On the menu it might seem a little nondescript(the description just says something about a savory-sweet taste), but I think that is underselling it by a lot — it reminded me of a bit of Korean pajeon, but perhaps less heavy(not a bad thing). I satiated my anti-pancake tendencies by adding two eggs and Canadian bacon to the side, which did the trick. I took a bite out of my friend’s Beef Hash and thought it was tasty, but maybe not as «special» as the pancakes. I’m inclined to recommend the pancakes for first-timers, but that’s out of a sample size of two dishes tried. As an added bonus there are many quaint houses in the neighborhood behind Pacha that you will inevitably park in. Seriously, don’t bother trying to get a spot at Pacha — there’s not many and the killer incline will murder smaller cars. Overall there don’t seem to be much seating, but we didn’t have to wait during peak hours on Saturday morning. This was a good experience and I look forward to coming back!

Pear bacon scallion pancake and chai tea served in an oversized mug inside of a cozy, charming, slightly kitschy house? I dig it! I love these kinds of casual, homey restaurants in Austin. I wasn’t thrilled with my side of eggs as they very dry and bland, but everything else was great. Overall, I really like the vibe, although parking is limited(I believe 6 – 8 spots). The scallion pancake is unique and delicious and if you like savory and sweet things, this is the thing to get.

Pacha is that little, cozy, eclectic café with a equally eclectic staff that has good coffee and the BESTDAMN lox and toast plates. The tomatoes, the capers, ask for some serranos, the avocado — gluten free bread you can request that is actually really good??? It’s a small little space and occasionally there’s a pop that will make finding a table an ordeal — but it’s worth the wait. I love the energy of the space.

only got coffee to go… need to go back and eat some pancakes I guess. place was packed and everyone was eating pancakes. I like that this company are conscious business owners… not sure I got the friendliest service since I’m pretty sure the lady working the cashier heard me say«bleh» to pear pancakes… I get it, I’d take it personally too… but maybe I just don’t like the pear and pancake combo. Anyhow, seems like a cool place id frequent if I lived near there.

We went to Pacha on a Sunday about 1:45. It was crowded, apparently a popular brunch spot. It was very loud, partly from the diners but the music was also playing pretty loud. Normally I wouldn’t mind but I was with someone who has trouble hearing so it was a little too loud. Pacha is very casual — order at the counter, find a table. Even though it was crowded, we find a table right away. I had been wanting to try the beef hash. The menu says the hash is slow-simmered beef with potatoes, leeks, carrots, celery and turnip, served on wilted spinach and topped with two eggs. As you could guess from the description, this is not your traditional corned beef hash with cabbage and potatoes. It tasted good, though I would have like it to be warmer. I noted that it was kind of spicy. The menu doesn’t mention anything about spiciness. I asked the woman behind the counter. She said the beef is simmered with some jalapeños or serranos. I liked it but I think they should indicate this on the menu as some people might not want the spice. I also had breakfast potatoes. They were good, but not crispy at all and could have been warmer, as well. The other people with me had standard breakfast fare — an omelette with Swiss cheese and mushrooms and American breakfast with eggs, bacon and potatoes. They said both were good. We also had coffee, which was good and strong. You have to pay $ 1.00 for refills. The total price was about $ 40, not bad for pretty good food. All in all, we enjoyed our brunch as Pacha.

On a Tuesday morning we couldn’t find parking(there are only 10 spots) so we ended up finding a space on 46th street and just walked over. We sat on the small shaded back porch that had two ceiling fans running which was nice and kept us cool despite the 90 degree heat. Next time we’ll be sure to bring our dog to come hang out with us. The staff is very friendly and easy going, which already puts them well ahead of other coffee shops in Austin. My boyfriend was able to have a video conference call, so I know the wifi works well also. This is a really hip spot with an eclectic fan base which makes for a fun environment to meet up with friends, not so much for studying or reading(unless with headphones). I had the smoked wild salmon plate on a toasted seeded bagel with cream cheese and tomato-dill pico and it was seriously slap-yo-mama good. PHENOMENAL even. I couldn’t help but make gleeful little moans as I took each bite– so much that my boyfriend rolled his eyes and asked if I needed some alone time, ha! He had the classic American breakfast with bacon and grilled potatoes and he said it was really well done and all the flavors worked together. We were so impressed! We will absolutely be returning to Pacha!

Such a cute house sitting on Burnet. On a Saturday morning right at 8am there was a small line and the wait for food wasn’t as bad as I had read about. When we left it still wasn’t too bad so maybe it gets more crowded towards noon. The parking in the back is definitely limited and I probably wouldn’t have stayed if I couldn’t find a spot. I guess it helps with crowd control? After reading a bunch of reviews I had to try the pear bacon scallion pancake, and it was DELICIOUS! I would highly recommend. My boyfriend got the french toast with eggs and meat(bacon) which was also pretty good, not smothered in powered sugar like other places. Sadly, the pacha latte wasn’t as great as I had hoped but probably because I like my coffees pretty sweet. Also, when I asked for it with soy the waiter said that it always comes with soy so that’s pretty cool. I think I’ll have to try it iced next time.

Hi. I got food here. It was good. My foods: — French toast plate with eggs: French toast wasn’t overpowered with powdered sugar so I can actually taste the bread. — beef specialty pancake: I got the half size and I regretted it on my first bite because it was so unexpectedly good! Next time I’ll get a full size. At first, the combination of the pancake didn’t sound appealing but that pancake slapped me in the face. — blueberry muffin: I’m not usually a fan of sweets but I finished my meal off with this well balanced muffin. Size, moistness(?) and sweetness was great. Pros: — the staff here are friendly and very welcoming. Yay Austin TX. — surprisingly they have a good selection of food including baked goods and gluten free items for those that do that stuff. Cons: — parking is a turn off, I came here once and just left since I couldn’t park — expensive but it’s probably because they use organic ingredients. So that we don’t die. Maybe pro or con: — the place is small and intimate. There was a continuous flow of people coming in. Lots of conversations going on. It would be cool to see them expand!

Pacha is this little cabin-looking café off of Burnet that showcases hand-painted tables, mismatched chairs, and quaint eccentricity all around. Oh, and a pretty bomb pear-bacon-scallion pancake. It’s dense and fluffy. The scallions add a mild, onion-y taste that goes surprisingly well with the tanginess of the pear, the saltiness of the bacon, and the sweetness of the syrup. It sounds like there’s a lot going on, but Pacha’s unique pancake pushes your tastebuds without going too overboard. The beef hash was flavorful and well-seasoned, though my friend and I agreed that it wasn’t anything too special. We also ordered the beef empanada: the crust was golden, flaky, and buttery, but the seasoned meat inside was sort of dry. I was slightly disappointed in it. As delicious as the pear, bacon, and scallion pancake was(it really, really was), I can’t bring myself to give Pacha that fourth star. The other food was decent at best, and the price is a little steep — for just a single, 7-inch pancake(the full size), I paid $ 8.40. The beef hash was $ 10+, and the underwhelming empanada was $ 3+. I’m sorry Pacha! That pancake though.
