DONOTGOHERE! When our regular doctor’s office is closed, I always go to a local Urgent Care. I am charged a $ 30 co-pay. We have been going to the same place for years. When I recently injured my hand during a vacation in Belize, however, and came home, it became infected and was burning and throbbing all night long. I woke up early on Sunday morning and headed straight to Urgent Care, before my family was awake. Much to my alarm, I found out the Urgent Care had gone out of BUSINESS on Friday night. However, in case you haven’t noticed, there seem to be a new Urgent or Immediate or Minute Cares popping up all over, so I went to another one close by — the one I’m reviewing right now. I went in, gave them my insurance card, was seen, got some antibiotics and was let go. On my way out, I said, «I think I have a $ 30 copay.» The receptionist said, «No, I don’t think so. We’re submitting your bill to your insurance.» And all of a sudden, a moment of HORROR entered my mind. «Are you considered a REALEMERGENCYROOM?» I asked. «Yes,» they said. Do you know what that MEANT??? It MEANT that my finger injury is now costing us more than entire FREAKING vacation to Belize!!! No joke. I got the bill.(And we have good insurance!!!) I had NO idea this was a ‘real’ emergency room. It wasn’t attached to a hospital nor does it have a hospital’s name in the title. BEWARE!!! Will NEVER go there again! Patients should be told the MOMENT they walk in the door!!!

DONOTGO. I learnt it the hard way. I was in a stressful situation in Sept 2015 and needed care for my son who needed a nebulizer treatment for asthma. I went to this facility because the urgent care was closed and there was no other clinic nearby. I asked them if they were in my network and the front desk woman checked in her system and said«yes». I also asked them how much it would cost me if I was to get the treatment done there. The lady said we would only know upon examining the patient and it will be our choice if we want to get it done there. I agreed and they took my son in. After the doctor examined him, they gave me the total amount it would cost me and it was $ 800 some dollars. I received a bill of $ 790 in the mail and when I checked with my insurance, I got to know they are out of network. They also told me there’s another bill I’ll be getting soon for $ 3000 which will be the facility bill. So you receive two bills — one is the doctor’s bill and the other is the facility bill. The insurance company said they can’t do anything because they are out of network. This is ridiculous. I am supposed to pay close to $ 4000 for a nebulizer treatment. I don’t get this. They totally misled me by telling me they are in the network and took me in. I would never go back here and would not recommend anyone. Please do your research with your insurance company before you go there.

I am not in favor of giving bad reviews, but I think this place certainly deserves one. We went in because my husband fell and needed a few stitches. I vividly remember asking if they were in my network and the front desk lady replied yes. Now here we are in January and we receive a bill for 2000.00. Come to find out the physician was not in our network and therefore billed us as if we did not have insurance. My recommendation is to never go to this free standing ER as they will sock it to you financially. My husband needed care and and I trusted that anyone that worked in that facility was contracted with our insurance company. That was obviously a bad move on my part and this is a HARD lesson to learn. I would stick with ARC after hours or make sure you research ahead of time who is contracted with your insurance when it comes to an emergency so you will have the information when you need it. I would hate to see this happen to anyone else since we all are for the most part living paycheck to paycheck.

I went to this facility on 10÷20÷15. I had cut my thumb on a can the night before and had ruled out stitches for the most part but then thought it wouldn’t be a bad idea for a tetanus shot as I have no idea when I last had one. Since I was there I asked for a flu shot as well. The MD looked at my thumb and agreed that it probably did not need stitches, especially with the cut being approximately 12 hours old. On 11÷21÷15 I got the bill for this visit. The ERMD fee was $ 525.00& the fees for the remaining visit were $ 2315.00. I contacted Concentra to see what a flu and tetanus vaccine would run with them and they advised less than $ 300. So it appears that they’re billing 10 times more for the same thing. I contacted On Call Emergency billing on 11÷23÷15. They suggested I have my insurance reprocess the claim. Why? So my insurance goes up because they’re paying the bill now? They consider themselves a free standing emergency center and bill as such. I did not see signage warning of this at the time of my visit nor did I sign anything that specifically pointed this or was verbally advised of this. This place walks and talks like an urgent care facility. I would have never gone to this facility had I known that any number of other urgent care facilities nearby would charge 10 times less for the same services. I contacted the Texas Department of State Health Services to make a complaint. I was informed that«free standing emergency rooms» in Texas are not regulated for pricing. I sure don’t have $ 2840.00 burning a hole in my pocket to spend on a flu and tetanus vaccine and would have never gone to this place had a I known this.

We were seen right away without a wait. Very professional. This is a miniature ER not a clinic.

Do not go… I took my daughter in for stomach cramps. Paid the $ 200.00 copayment.(We have excellent insurance). The Doctor(come to find out is out of network), hooked up IV ran many tests and sent us home without a diagnosis, other than«perhaps it was something she ate». I started receiving bills. Apparently the doctors there are not employees, but contracted out. The facility is another bill. In total, for a 30 minute visit I have accumulated well over $ 2,500.00 in bills. When I call they say to talk to the insurance to resubmit. My daughters visit was on 6÷29÷2015. Today is 10/05/2015 and I am still trying to get it sorted out. They billing office apologized and said, «I understand your frustration, we get these call all day everyday» Terrible… Do not go. Plain and simple– it’s clean and available, but it is a RIPOFF.
