Best Chinese I’ve had in Austin, the chicken majestic will leave you feeling every other generals chicken left something to be desired. Prompt, friendly and clean establishment. Great service in person or via delivery. I’m picky and a foodie, most places with the standard décor and menu send me running, this one didn’t and I’m glad.

So I was in the area actually lookin for a Vietnamese place that served vermicelli. I’m an idiot and thought that Chinese & Vietnamese food was basically the same. I came in the middle of a the day and the place was Dead(with a capital D). I believe the staff aka family members were all in the dining area with me, just hanging out. I asked the waitress if they had Vermicelli and after an awkward 2 or 3 minute conversation, she convinced me to order their Chicken Lo Mein with a couple of egg rolls. The eggs rolls were excellent, hot and crispy! I guess you don’t really know just how different noodles can be from each other until you try em. These noodles were indeed thick and for lack of a better word, slimy. The amount of food was more than enough. However, lo meins’ texture and taste are NOT anything like vermicelli. Also, a vermicelli dish usually has sauce to pour over it which is the key ingredient. Everything was already mixed into this lo mein dish. The dish was pricier than what you’d pay for a vermicelli dish as well. There’s plenty of seating, the folks I spoke with were nice enough. If they make the place brighter it might lighten up the ambiance!

Very tasty! We were having a lazy Saturday and didn’t want to have to drive anywhere to get food. Delivery was super fast especially considering we ordered during peak dinner hours! The hot and sour soup was my favorite part by far. We also got the pork egg foo young, the chicken Szechuan, egg rolls, and fried bananas for dessert! Sure it was your typical Chinese food but it definitely hit the spot.

This is our go to Chinese take out place. The spare ribs and crispy duck are both great. This is our second time in 5 years eating in the restaurant. Despite being the only people eating here we still have to wait for our server. They do a brisk take out business and the phone hasn’t stopped ringing. The TV is also on at full volume watching America’s got talent. It’s loud enough that dinner conversation is hard. Over all I’d give them a higher rating if I wasn’t eating in the restaurant. It’s been 25 minutes since they cleared the appetizers plates and still no entrée on the table. I think after tonight we will stick to take out again.

Not the best, but not the worst. We ordered egg rolls, chicken fried rice, cashew chicken and beef and broccoli. The egg rolls were the best. Beef and broccoli, the worst. Delivery was quick– under 30 minutes.

My new go-to Chinese restaurant. Hot & sour soup is the best I’ve tasted. I keep ordering the Chef’s Special Beef, which is delicious, but they keep leaving out the broccoli. I know I should deduct a star, but it’s too tasty to judge harshly. Just remember to check you order before you leave :)

The wonton soup was just watered down broth and some wontons, the consistency lead me to think they were from frozen. The egg rolls were pretty good but I also think they were frozen. The sesime chicken though, that was truly bad. The chicken wasn’t in chunk form like you might expect, but in long an stringy pieces. They were over breaded, combined that with how thing the chicken was to begin with, most of the time you are eating breading. I got it delivered so with the amount of sauce they left in the chicken was soggy by the time it got to me.

Ocean China is our go to take-out place and it is delicious! Our favorite are the spicy chicken wings. They are crispy and flavored to perfection! We also love their fire cracker shrimp and chicken fried rice! Their Kung Pao and lo me in are also pretty good, but not the best we’ve ever had!

Went here on a recommendation from a couple of friends. They swear this is the best Chinese food in Austin, Texas. I liked it but it wasn’t the best. The food isn’t bursting with flavor as one would expect from Chinese food. You know, all the yummy sodium and what not. It’s worth a try.

Lightning fast delivery, best Chinese food I’ve found in Austin. There were a few dark years there where every time someone stuck a flyer on my door my interest was piqued. I needed a new Chinese Food Service Provider and I was having a lot of one-night-Chinese-food-stands trying to find the right General Tso’s. Ocean China finally came through for us. We tentatively worked through pan-fried dumplings, egg rolls, wonton and Hot and Sour soups onto the bless’ed Chicken Majestic(Ocean’s version of General Tso’s) with hope growing between each course. By the end of the meal we knew: We had found Our Chinese Place. Seriously, there’s nothing like a good Hot and Sour soup when last night’s scotch comes banging back through your temple.

Good stuff. I typically get the Neptune’s delight but it isn’t really consistent. Sometimes it is really really tasty, other times it is not so much. The fried rice is really what keeps me coming back.

I and a friend eat lunch here on a semi-regular basis. I especially like the quiet atmosphere – there is the usual big screen TV, but it doesn’t intrude, and the table arrangement makes the restaurant feel cozy and private. My latest lunch today, was hot and sour soup and shrimp with broccoli. The food is piping hot and very fresh, even the shrimp taste fresh. The soup has a nice balance of spicy and sour flavors, with a good mix of tofu, vegetables and wood ears fungus. The broccoli was cooked al dente, and the brown sauce was a nice compliment to the dish. I’m not a fan of fried chicken wings, but theirs are so crunchy on the outside, juicy on the inside, I love them. The service is what really stands out – it’s not intrusive hovering, but the waiter refills iced tea regularly and brings the food quickly. For those with very small children, there is a fold down changing station in the ladies’ restroom, a surprise for a small restaurant such as this. The atmosphere is family friendly and I wouldn’t think twice about inviting friends with children for a meal there. Finally, it is in my neighborhood(«far» South Austin), so it’s convenient as a lunch place with friends. Look for it behind the Exxon station and the Taco Bell, at Brody and Wm Cannon.

Best south Austin Chinese food I have found so far. Our go-to for delivery and takeout. Usually get sesame chicken, lo mein, gen tso’s, or kung pao. Always good!

I came here because I was craving some Chinese food and was in the south side. I ordered orange chicken and egg rolls. Orange chicken: crispy, tasty and tasted good with a very slight spice to it which was came with a side of white rice(2 balls of white rice) $ 9.99 Egg rolls: fresh and crispy and also tasted very good(receive 2 per order) $ 3.99 Overall the place was good if your in the area and the owner was nice. The décor is a bit dated and just average so just expect that going in. I’d get it to go next time.
