It’s a local liquor store that isn’t named Twin, Specs or Costco. That by itself earns it at least a couple stars. I agree with other reviewers that the mgmt here is very knowledgeable and friendly. I’ve never felt I was overcharged. If you wanna save the 5 bucks on a bottle of booze, then go to Costco. If you don’t drink a lot and need a good recommendation and something that resembles customer service, go to NW Hills Liquor.

I used to live in this neighborhood until about 5 months ago. This liquor store was near my duplex. I moved about about 2 or 3 miles away but I still make my way over to this shop because the store manager/cashier is very friendly and knowledgeable. I’ll ask him that I’m looking for XYZ and he’ll make good recommendations. Just a recently I bought some Nue Vodka to use to make Grey Hounds and the Manager said he likes to sip on that Vodka over Belvedere or Grey Goose plus it was priced at $ 11.99. Generally they have a great variance of rotating specials. So sometimes you can come across a mid level liquor priced at $ 11 or $ 12 when it’s normally $ 16-$ 18. If you’re in the area stop by and get some drinks!

I like having the smaller neighborhood stores which are perfect for a quick stop. The employees are friendly and helpful, and I can be in and out very quickly. The parking lots at Costco and Specs are nightmares, especially around the holidays. Still, a basic bottle of Bacardi Rum was«on sale» here for $ 25. Specs and Costco charge $ 20 or less for the same item during their frequent sales.

I will go here every time for my drinking pleasures. There are always samples of specialty liquors and plenty of boxed gift sets like the ones around Christmas. They are always running specials on some of the higher-end liquors that make them as cheap as the mid-level liquors.

I’m mainly a beer and wine drinker, but Northwest Hills Liquor is my go-to place when I’m looking to hit the hard stuff. Unlike a lot of smaller liquor stores around town, the shelves at Northwest are very well-stocked. My favorite liquor stores are those in which I feel the urge to browse, look around, and maybe find something new and intriguing to try. Kind of like a book store. When I walk into a shop that has tons of empty space on the shelves, I’m disappointed. Prices here are competitive. I find them to be cheaper than Spec’s on a lot of stuff, slightly more on a few items. The guy who works here(probably the owner or manager) is always friendly and helpful and happy to engage in conversation about spirits or sports.
