We had a technician out to our house on Tuesday night. He diagnosed a problem with out GE washing machine. The parts and labor were going to cost almost $ 700($ 427 for the part, $ 265 for the labor). Because the washer is less than 2 years old we called GE customer service who agreed that it should not have worm out that quickly. GE agreed to send us the part for the repair at no cost so that National Appliance could still do the work. They refused to install the GE provided part because they would only be making money on the labor! Of course the $ 55 we paid them already that is supposed to be applied to the repair they are refusing to do is not being returned.
