I know there are a lot of folks that dis Leslie’s stores, but I’ve never had a problem with any of them. Quite the opposite, actually. well I guess it depends who’s there when you go. The manager’s usually a pretty sharp guy, but the seasonal help well, not so much. I used to frequent the location on South Lamar, until I spotted this one driving down 290 the other day. Apparently it was just recently acquired by Leslie’s, that’s why I hadn’t noticed it before, and it hasn’t been listed on Unilocal. The manager — Jerry — is a super nice guy that helped me figure out my recent algae issues lickety-split. I did run into an issue yesterday when I stopped by for shock — Jerry wasn’t there, I got the seasonal help that started 3 days ago, and he charged me 60 bucks more than the display sign said it was. But after a quick call to Jerry, I was good, he honored the incorrect price on the sign. The store is smaller than most of the other Leslie’s I’ve been in and the space fills up quickly when there are more than 2 or 3 customers, so I wouldn’t recommend going during busy times(right after work during the week or weekend mornings probably), but they seem to still have most everything in stock.
