Laurie Ruth Photography

We are so glad that we chose Laurie as a photographer! For our engagement photos, Laurie had great ideas for locations and worked with us to find spots that we get us the photos we wanted. Even better, she didn’t choose the typical poses or the locations. We got some unique photos, which was very important to us. Laurie takes her time to get the shot that she knows you will love. Several times we were just walking to a new location and she would tell us to stop so she could snap a few more photos. Laurie also went above and beyond for my bridal portraits. I was traveling into Austin from out of town and despite the road closures and snow falling (yes, there was snow), Laurie was eager to shoot, even outdoors. I felt relaxed and comfortable with Laurie. She is quirky and fun, knows how to make you smile and get some great shots!
Our wedding day coverage was also great. Laurie shot all of the details and the basic posed picture that every couple needs and wants, but the candid photos are my true love. Laurie’s candid photography was one of the main reasons we chose her and she definitely delivered. Capturing little moments and really being able to capture emotion in her photos is a true talent.
One last comment about Laurie’s editing. Her editing skills are great and natural, another reason we selected Laurie Ruth Photography. For our engagement photos downtown, she was able to remove distracting road signs from the photos so the focus was truly on us. She does not use distracting filters or fisheye lenses – the end products are timeless.
