I was extremely fortunate to have Dr. Ash assigned to my case when I was admitted to Seton Southwest hospital with appendicitis. What was not known prior to the surgery was that my appendix had already ruptured. This increased the difficulty and danger of my surgery immensely. A surgery that would normally take less than an hour consumed about 4 times that amount of time to ensure that all of the infectious material that had spilled into my abdominal cavity was cleaned out. She also had to repair a hole in my inflamed intestine which occurred when my appendix ruptured from the intestinal wall. In addition to being skilled she was an excellent communicator and she was comfortable to be around — like someone you would want for your next door neighbor. When people are feeling poorly this type of demeanor is immensely helpful. She gets top marks for both surgical skills and bedside manner.

Dr. Ash is a fantastic surgeon with excellent bedside manner’s. She listens to your insecurities about going under the knife.
You will not regret having her do the surgery for what she specializes in.
