Great spot to grab a few ice cold domestic macro bottles and chow down on some brisket. Amazing jukebox.

Real chill place. Grab beers here and bring it next door to John ‘s meat & co., or sit at the bar and chat with the friendly bar ender. Cold beer @ good price!

How did I not know about this place? It’s AWESOME little hole in the wall with friendly staff and a comfortable feel you can’t find on the other side of 35.

Dive-tastic! There is nothing about this bar that will wow you. I’ve never seen a hipster grace the entrance, with the exception of those who pop in to buy beer before eating next door at John Mueller Meat Company. The beer is cold, and limited to domestics. No taps. There’s one pool table, and very few seats but the jukebox is stocked with the best in Tejano along with classic Eagles and more. What you will get, aside from cold, cheap beer, is a friendly place to drink. The crowd is all from the ‘hood, and they will give you one long look before smiling and saying hello. If you speak Spanish, it’s a definite plus. This is bare bones ice house, baby! You won’t drop a wad of cash, but you won’t be able to drink liquor, either, as they are beer only. A perfect jumping off spot for an evening where you can slam a few longnecks with the gang before wandering off to other watering holes. Bonus: street parking is free, until the City figures out how many of us are now going far-East for our 6th Street fun. Kellee’s Place is the perfect bar for an impromptu, «I just want to drink a beer» happy hour. The place may look intimidating, but the bar staff cares about you. On my last visit, the staff was sweet talking a patron into giving up their keys, as she had had one too many to be safe on the streets.
