A friend who hunted on my place gave me Jalapeño Venison Sausage, it was fantastic, I rationed my eating it, wanted it to last forever! The sticker on the package told me who made it. I was out in Lakeway and happened to pass Hudson’s, I turned around and went back. The butcher was great, and the place was spotless. There are 2 Hudson’s in Austin, so not sure which one made the sausage I was given, but they are kin! I decided to try their Jalapeño sausage and – it is wow, I will stock up whenever I am in that area. I might even make a special trip that way, it will be worth it! Also plan to check out their other meat.

I always have my deer prcessed here and they make the BESST summer and Link Sausage out of it. BUT… their Jalapeño and cheese bacon wrapped chopped venison steaks are out of this world. So much so that when I run out– I call a aweek ahead and they will make them out of chopped beef on special order. Prices VERY FAIR, Quality of food and service OVER THE TOP.

Got an 8 pound prime rib roast for Christmas 2013 and it was truly excellent. Guys in the back are very nice and helpful. Definitely go here!

My family rented a lake house for the weekend and we stopped into this meat market for some meat to grill. We bought pork chops and chicken. Great prices and quality meat. The service was also very friendly. And a HUGE plus was that they had smoked bones for the dogs!

The babyback ribs I picked up here the other weekend were the meatiest, highest quality ribs I’ve ever purchased at a meat market. The owner told me he gets his hog from San Antonio, big props for shopping localish.
I’m only docking one star because when it came to brisket, which is what I love to grill the most, he only has giant ones. He said it is all he can get… but I find smaller briskets at HEB, and other meat markets.
I’m a fan of this place, and I do make it a point to purchase meat here whenever I can.

I want to give Hudson’s Bend Meat Market a hand! They are a great place to shop for meats. They have a great selection and have meat packs that can be customized. I was surprised that the location was so close to FM 620 off on a little road no to far. I love butchers and had a heck of a time trying to find location that were clean, had quality meat, and great customer service. This place knocked it out of the park! I picked up a meat pack for $ 99 and will be going back tomorrow to pick up another meat pack because I was so impressed with the meat and the great guys behind the counter. I will be a returning customer to this establishment. It is one of Austin, Texas special little secrets. It was a great change from HEB. The meat is awesome. I highly recommend this place for your next dinner or BBQ.

You gotta love a meat market with a sign on the front door telling you to bring your game for processing around to the back door. Very good meats, and they smoke a lot of products as well. Great attitude, and extremely friendly. They make their own sausage and Boudins. Bacon was excellent, as was everything I tried. Too many choices, not enough time. I’m off to Houston tomorrow.

Glad to have a meat market in the hood! It’s small, but they have quite a lot of meat, good jalapeño sausages and do game processing in the back. Very nice folks, good service. I buy most of my meat here when I don’t have time to make it to the farmer’s market.
