As a general rule, I eat clean. No gluten or sugar. But for Howdy Donuts, I will make an exception. They are the best donuts I’ve ever tasted.

The donuts are great. My kids love going every Saturday morning. Their apple fritters are my favorite in town. Everyone who works there is friendly and hustling.

The ladies working here are really nice and thoughtful! My wife and I bought $ 9 worth of kolaches and the girl who rang us up(I didn’t get her name) gave us free donut holes! No other kolache place would do that?! Also, their donuts and kolaches are really fresh and tasty and not«doughy» like other shops. My favorite is the one with sausage+bacon!!! We’ll be back for more:-)

I really do love the staff as well as the donuts and kolaches at this place. They’re so kind and have even thrown in extra donuts for free too! Their prices are great and they’ve got a wide selection to choose from which is why it has become my «go-to» shop anytime I’m craving something sweet for breakfast. If you’re in the area and wants donuts or kolaches, you definitely want to check them out!

I went here for a quick bite to go. Donuts were ok, kolaches edible. The reason I give them 2 stars is because of one of the staff members tried to pull a fast one on me. When she was ringing me up I noticed way too many«beeps» on the register. A lot more beeps than the food I asked for. She told me the total was $ 14. I was skeptical at first and then when she saw me look up at the pricing menu she redid the order and came out to be $ 8. Make sure they don’t take advantage of you. I know it is only $ 6 but that is not how you operate a successful business.

Their donuts are light an fluffy like Krispy Kreme, BUT it’s not greasy! Their kolaches are THEBEST. It’s not the dinner roll style. It’s more like pigs in a blanket. They have the puff pastry kind and the bread kind. Both excellent!!! The ladies who work here are super nice too!

I’ve been at liberty to have to try donut shops all over the south of ATX. Why? Cause my kid begs for them every weekend. So since we have lived here, I have been on the search for a place that appeases us both. This is probably the best so far. The parking lot is full do to the dance classes and swim classes that occur a couple doors down, which is to be expected, and the line is out the door with kids just finishing up there. My daughter gets her typical donut holes and glazed donut, while I try a sausage kolaches just to see what they offer. My mind is really set on the bagel shop, not even 3 doors down(yassss! Mama food!) which also has outside seating. The donuts are good. Melt in your mouth yummy. And the kolache, was soft, moist and just right. Even though this place is a 10 min drive from us, I like being able to choose from 2 breakfast spots to satisfy both our hungers. 5 stars for inadvertently appeasing me there, while making hot, fresh donuts for the kiddo.

This place is great! So friendly and helpful! The younger servers are a bit nicer than the older woman, but none the less still good.

The best donuts I have ever tasted anywhere. Ever. I’m not exaggerating. I know Austin has some grat donus options, but these guys definitely take the cake. Often, as I drive to work on these dark 6AM winter mornings in DC, I find myself daydreaming of my days in Austin, happily eating Howdy Donuts, feasting on all the amazing taco options Austin offers and munching on donut holes throughout the day. I once was talking about Howdy Donut with a friend and said, «it’s kinda like eating a cloud.» He understood exactly what I meant. You will too if you eat a Howdy Donut.

Kolaches = Amazing, I love kolaches, these are fabulous. Not a huge variety, but what they have is delicious. Donuts = great selection, I would say they have every type you would possibly want. Which is good considering they’re called«Howdy Donut.» Breakfast«burritos» = first of all, we’re in Austin, they are breakfast tacos. This is probably where I should have known they were going to be crap. They are not good. At all. Gross. They shouldn’t even bother selling these. I couldn’t even finish one, it was that bad. So if you’re in the market for kolaches or donuts, I would definitely stop here. As for breakfast tacos, don’t even bother.

I’ve been coming here for at least 8 years and never had a bad experience. Kolaches are killer. Howdy just has a special place in my heart and I wish them all the success in the world.

These donut makers really know how to satisfy your taste buds. They are always polite and on top of things. The only complaint I have is that I wish they were open 24⁄7.

I LOVE Howdy Donut. Their glazed donuts are simple, but they are soft and perfectly glazed, with none of the artificial flavoring that other inferior donuts have(e.g. Ken’s). If you’re craving something savory, their croissant sausage rolls are heavenly! Best part: The owners are awesome. They have always given me a few donut holes with each order, even when I only ordered croissant sausage rolls!

We might have gone on an off day… but we probably won’t be back. We did go when there was a line, which might have put more pressure on the staff. We didn’t try the cake donuts, just the raised donuts and the apple fritter. Apple fritter was OK, not amazing. Their claim to fame is the texture they’ve achieved on those raised donuts, which was pretty damn good. But the service really killed the experience for us — the woman who helped us was nice and smiley at first, but when I noticed she’d gotten the order wrong and asked her to correct it, she just seemed annoyed, plus she got it wrong a second time. She didn’t seem interested in getting the order right, just that she get us out of there as fast as possible. We did get a few free donut holes, but I’d actually have preferred getting what I ordered. They fill their filled donuts to order with cream, raspberry or lemon, which I thought was really cool, and smart of them. But when we got home, one of our filled donuts was filled OK while the other contained a barely-noticable sliver of filling at one end. The airy texture of the donut itself was great, but we didn’t get what we went there for at all. At the end of the day, it’s an inexpensive donut shop, and on a good day this is probably a great deal. On a bad day, we got the value that we paid for, which wasn’t much. And technically we didn’t even actually get what we paid for.

Yeehaw! Howdy Donut is the place to go for fresh, fluffy, tasty donuts. The staff is extremely nice. Sometimes, they even throw in some free donut holes! If you are in the area and craving some donuts, you gotta try Howdy Donut!

I’ve had Howdy Donuts since I was a wee little girl, and they’ve always made me happier than sunshine! The people working here are always sweet, with lovely smiles on their faces no matter how disgustingly early it is. Their glazed donuts are little gifts from angels above. So fluffy, soft, and sweet. Their kolaches are so gently wrapped with love, butter, and happiness that I could eat one for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They even have the option of having a croissant kolache, which is equally as amazing. I’m also a huge fan of their blueberry donuts. Their breakfast burrito things are different, but surprisingly good. It’s a little soft taco filled with egg, sausage and maybe something else tasty. The prices are great too. I love this place, and I really don’t think another donut place could compete. I don’t go here often(never when I’m in my healthy food phase), but it’s one of my guilty pleasures that I’ll always visit on occasion, especially when I’m feeling naughty. And just to be extra amazing, they put free glazed donut holes(fluffs of joy!) with every order you make because these people are fantastic.
