Hbmg Foundation Art Spark Festival

The HBMG Foundation’s formula for an UNPREDICTABLE SUMMER:
1.) Divide OVER 60 ARTISTS into Creative Teams that must include a marketer, a musician, a theatre or video game design team, and a visual artist.
2.) Challenge each Creative Team to CREATE A NEW PLAY OR VIDEO GAME that is «sparked» by an original song and piece of visual art.
3.) Dare the musicians and visual artists who created those «sparks» to CREATE MORE MUSIC AND VISUAL ART that is «sparked» by the development process of the play and/​or video game.
4.) Give each team a budget, workspace, industry workshops, and equipment to fuel the artistic fires.
5.) Award $ 15,000 IN CASH PRIZES to two winning Creative Teams.
6.) Provide venues for PUBLIC SHOWCASES and wait for the detonation to hit audiences.
I participated last year and 1.) discovered just how much i was capable of. 2.) developed some life long artistic partnerships and friendships 3.) won thousands of dollars 4.) got a job coordinating the festival this year!
We’re in week 6 out of week 12. Can’t wait for the showcases that come up in August!
