If I could give a negative score I would. My experience was absolutely horrible! I arrived on time only to have to wait at least 30 minutes before I was taken to a room to watch a 10 minute video of why Hair Club will change my life for the better. After the video I waited at least another 15 – 20 minutes for the flaky consultant, Stephanie, to finally come into the room. she briefly discussed my goals for about 5, yes 5 minutes then left the room to get some brochures. why didn’t she have the brochures when she came in the first time! anyway, after about 20 minutes I decides to leave the room and look for her. the receptionist tells me she is helping another client but will return to me shortly. what??? ok, so I returned to my room like an idiot and waited for another 15 minutes and still no Stephanie. I left the room and again and retuned to the receptionist where I found Stephanie«gathering my brochures». she apologized and said she was double-booked but ready for me now. I said«sorry, can’t wait any longer and you are unprofessional» she apologized, handed me some brochures and asked me to reschedule for another time. I left the office and left the brochures on a bench outside the office. I always thought places like this were scammy but now I don’t think, I KNOW!

I want to warn those of you who are down in the dumps because of your own hair loss issues and are desperate to find a solution. Very recently I was in that exact position. In my desperation, I decided to go to the Hair Club of Austin. During my consultation appointment I was led to believe that they could perform miracles. I left there having hope for the first time in a long time. After signing the contract,(which was very sketchy and VERY overpriced), I began receiving emails and phone calls from solicitors about my credit and borrrowing money, which I still get to this day. When I asked the HCM staff about it, they claimed that they had never had that problem before and there was nothing they could do to help, after selling my email and phone number to who knows how many places!!! One other thing is that when I received my first credit card statement from the Hair Club my charges were wrong. They had charged me more than my contract stated. They told me it would cost one price and they charged my credit card another. I should have known at this point that something was fishy. The bio-matrix piece that they ordered for me was a disaster. It looked nothing like my blonde permed hair. I was told that I would need to color my hair so that it would match the«piece» in which they had ordered. Funny thing is that I was not told that I would need to color my hair until after I purchased the package. Very deceptive! By the way, the bio– matrix piece is nothing more than a toupe that they glue in your hair! After that disastrous appointment I was told that they would order another piece, which would end up taking 6 weeks. I left there with such a sick feeling in my stomach I knew that I was never going to step foot back in that place ever again. I was told so many lies, to get my signature on that contract, that were later contradicted by other employees at the Hair Club. The employees at the Hair Club are programmed in the things that they say. Everybody is very careful about what they say and how they answer questions. It is not the truth. It is what they are trained to say. In the long run, I was able to fight to get back half of the money that I paid for their«services». We were told to come in and sign a refund form which we had to fill out and sign because nobody there had any idea what was going on. Christy was supposed to meet us there at 3:30pm and when we got there promptly at 3:30pm she had«gone to lunch.» The refund request stated that the Hair Club had 30 days to refund our money. On the 29th day«part» of my refund came through. I had to call and send emails and wait another 4 days before I finally saw the refund that I was promised over 30 days prior! I am warning you… everything about the Hair Club Austin from day one was a disaster. For me, it is about principle. I don’t want anybody to ever have to go though what I went through at the Hair Club. Please think twice about your decision to go to the Hair Club Austin. It is not worth it!!!
