Gatti’s Pizza

I would rather eat bagel bites or frozen pizza from the grocery store. I absolutely hate Gattis it is the worst pizza I have ever tasted. The crust is so bland and tastless and the sauce is gross. Everything about Gattis tastes gross including the salad bar. I have been to several locations and they are all gross but the E. Riverside location is THE WORST of them all. It looked like a trash can threw up in the dining area and the employees were just standing around talking and playing on their phones. Has anyone called the health inspector on this location? Someone should. A SUPRISE health inspection is what NEEDS to happen here

I’ve been eating Gattis pizza since before I was born. There was a time when this location and the food coming out of it were absolute crap, but today they are the best pizza in the area. The drivers are friendly and the pizza is ALWAYS on time and hot. The only reason I don’t give them 5 stars is every now and the. The salad isn’t up to par.

If I could I would give zero stars. Went to the lunch buffet and the pizza they had out was old and not even worth trying. I sat for about ten minutes and they finally started to bring out some fresh pizza. The pizza that was put out didn’t even look appetizing. It had a lot of spots that had no cheese and the topping were very slim pickings. All they were putting out was pepperoni or sausage or supreme. The restaurant was extremely filthy, and I will not be returning. I used to like Gatti’s, but the past few years it’s been horrible, delivery and the buffets. Very disappointed in all the Austin locations.

Ordered a pizza for a person with the illness as for a vegetarian sampler. They gave me a meat supreme when I called they admitted the mistake they said they were going to give me a refund on that one seat so and then they laughed at me and hung up the phone

Our pizza was a complete disaster upon delivery. Was such a mess it almost looked deliberate. There were some toppings that were only supposed to be half and it was all jumbled around and slices were out of their place.

Yeah, never eating here again. The pizza was pretty pathetic, but beyond that, this was probably the dirtiest place I’ve ever eaten. The tables were sticky, many left with dirty plates all over them the entire time we were there and for no reason. I’ve worked food service so I tend to be more understanding, but there was no line and hardly any people eating there. The staff had plenty of time to be cleaning and they just weren’t. Not worth the $ 7, there’s a Cici’s across the street that’s cleaner and costs less, go there instead.

Came in for lunch. Only a few customers, the staff were prepping some pizzas as there were only a few petrified slices sitting under the heat lamps. Grabbed some silverware, but had to exchange it twice to find some without leftover food particulate. Tables were gross… Sticky with crumbs aplenty…
Overall a highly disappointing visit.

We went to the Riverside Location a few nights ago and had to leave. As we were walking away from paying we noticed 2 cups were dirty so we got diffrent ones, we approach the buffet line and no freah pizza, looked like they had been sitting about 30 minutes not a big deal but as we approach the salad bar all the food was mixed veggies in the sauce ok maybe they just had a rush the problem was all the employees were standing around talking. And the tables were just filthy not just like a just got through dinner rush dirty but all of them were haven’t been really wiped in a week sticky dirty. Will I return probably not I’ll just go to the one near the airport they tend to be clean.

Went back yesterday for their $ 4.50 special deal. At 7pm, I walked into the place and stood in front of the register while the manager/​cashier ignored my friend and I for a good three to four minutes. Meanwhile, a line had formed behind us about eight deep. Still, this manager moved like he had not a care in the world.
Finally he looks up and says «If you aint’ here for takeout we closed.»
I said, «Why are you closed at 7?»
He replied, «We out of dough.»
Now, I’m sure you don’t hire your managers based upon their language skills, but when you’re in a role which will be interacting with customers, at least being able to have a short, simple conversation without sounding completely illiterate is nice.
This guy didn’t offer an apology, didn’t act like he gave a rat’s a – , and what kind of pizza place offers special deals for a specific day and then doesn’t order enough supplies to cover it?
I’ll be contacting their corporate, because this was just a horrible experience all around.

First rule of pizza delivery club is know where you’re going.
The driver got to my apartment complex when the online delivery thing said it was going to show up. He couldn’t find my apartment, So he calls me and I give explicit directions on how to get to where I live.
FOUR phone calls and an hour later…
«Can you meet me by the laundry room? I can’t find your place…»
That’s the call of an axe murderer if I ever heard one… But I went for my pizza anyway. If I starve I’d rather be murdered so the choice was clear. When I met him at the laundry room he was very apologetic, but quite possibly high as a kite. Thankfully my pizza was whole and as far as I know, unmolested.
He even offered to walk me back to my apartment. No thank you axe murderer. I can eat my pizza by myself. Go find your next victim and hopefully they will have a simpler address for your drug addled brain.
I immediately call the location and ask for a refund. The manager offers me a whole pizza on my next delivery and some wings. How generous. I say I never want to order from that location again (and I won’t). I get my pizza refunded immediately and thank the man for his cooperation.
I wish I could say it was a «Hot Mess» but the damn pizza was cold and my ranch was room temp. ugh. Nothing was hot except for my temper.

If it could be less than 1 I would choose that. It’s was dirty and incredibly disgusting. Saw them making pizza without washing hands or wearing gloves after taking money. Asked for a refund at that point. So gross.

Today was the first time I have visited this location with my family, second time visiting a Gatti’s pizza. (other location was on Wm Cannon by i35). At both the locations, the first thing I noticed was the filth, food on the floors, and tables dirty. I was able to look passed thinking they may have just been busy. But, at this location on E Riverside Dr. We were welcomed by a rude cashier that spoke to us with an attitude (The name «Noe» was on his shirt). Didn’t say thank you and just looked annoyed. After paying, we proceeded to the buffet line, and no pizza was on the counter. Finally when some was available, we ate our food. The food was okay, nothing special. As we were eating, you can hear all the employees speaking loudly and using lots of profanity (not the best idea for a family place). After that 3 men walk into the establishment, one of the employee’s walk out and a drug deal was made. It appear the employee was dealing. After the exchange, the employee went back behind the counter, then headed to the back. I was shocked to see this so I started to observe a bit more and as I watched, I noticed that employees were handling money, than start making a pizza, (no hand washing). I also noticed one employee pick up some of the pizza with her bare hands to transfer it do a different pan after handing dirty wash clothes. Too be honest, I have never witnessed this much improper food handling, customer service and even a drug deal in any establishment as I seen in this dump. I have contacted the corporate office about this experience, (the number was not posted anywhere in the establishment). I will not recommend this place to anyone… 0 stars.
